1. Suuuure.  And one time, Bruce Springsteen pulled me up on stage to dance with him while he sang Dancing in the Dark.
Courtney Cox post here? I once had a very vivid dream that we were fucking. Sorry to say I was kinda mad because I vastly prefer Jen Anniston
2. ANOTHER ONE!  I had to double check I wasn’t somehow seeing the story twice.

this is messed up.
I was told that conservatives back the blue and that defaced American flag they love was a show of support for LEO.

Kinda looks like that was all bullshit to white wash racism and that dumb ass flag was created when the stars and bars was deemed to overtly racist.
3. Given American's (irrational) fear of being tracked, there isn't a simple method to stop fraudulent cards. There are digital passports that can link to certain healthcare systems' data portals but many people received vaccines outside of those systems. Most likely digital passports also work with just a picture of the vaccine card, which can create even more opportunity for fake passports.
I remember when I got my second vaccine scanning my card and then putting it in my safe with my passport and thinking it would be a super important document to me. I've used my passport thrice, since then but not the card.

4. Speaking as a Tech grad of about the same age as Slorch myself (50), I'm not going to let him speak for all Techsters. I take this shit seriously...very...and am back to wearing a mask everywhere including sitting at my desk all day. I'm proudly vaccinated (March Moderna Mafia) and encourage everyone who can to do so and am eagerly awaiting a booster.
Now, some Tech grads such as my dad may have been careless, but he paid the ultimate price for it. Same could be said of many, many Texas Exes based off what we see over at the Daily Texan, so this isn't simply a matter of schoolin'.
I can also tell you I'm not alone. My Tech grad mom is already hoping to get her booster and has tried to convince many of her elderly Baptist church community friends to get vaxxed. My Tech grad sister pleaded with the attendees at my dad's memorial service a couple of weeks ago to get vaccinated. So did I. My Tech grad Uncle Bob (mom's brother), his Tech grad wife, Eileen, and their three Tech grad children (all older than me) Kate, Brian, and Phyllis, who also attended were fully vaccinated and kept their masks handy in their pockets during the entire visit.
As far as I can tell, some people just have to play the contrarian asshole for whatever boost it gives their egos. Get your shit together, slorch. You're making the rest of us look bad, and we desperately need that Pac-12 invite. You just know that Sbbruin is gonna print out this page, and send it to Pac HQs. Then, you'll really be sorry.

Yo my man, it was a cheap shot at a shitty poster. I actually have respect for Tech and soft spot for West Texas and a shit load of family that attended there, most of whom are great people. Some are even really smart.

There are dumbfucks at all schools, but there are even a few cool Aggies out there.
5. I'll take "Who are the people most likely to shoot themselves should they ever clean a gun?" Alex.
I'm astounded that in this day and age, with all the options for entertainment and diversion, that so many are so bored, they are left to humping guns, cosplaying cops, and going to rallys where a crazy old man repeats a bunch of false bullshit.

It's nuts. Find a less deadly hobby, go get laid, read a book, travel.

6. after three suicides, we are---statistically speaking---going to start forcing ourselves to ask questions, "were any capitol police in on this?"  Obviously the trauma/PTSD of the day is the leading indicator.  Stress of the job the other 364 days of the year is a close second.  I'm under the assumption these are all patriots trying their level best to keep the seat of our government safe.  But we do have to investigate, for the good of the USCP force and the Nation, whether or not some of those folks may have been in a pre-meditated plan.
Agreed. It could be a combination of things and vary per person. 1 suicide could have been strictly PTSD, or one guy felt like he didn't do enough or failed his brothers or duty. Could also be guilt and shame for being complicit.

We tend to want to paint with broad strokes. Humans are complex critters.

7. Holy fuck Texas, I'm reading some of the bullshit that your elected officials are throwing at Hartzell.   Y'all got a bunch of fucknuts there in Austin.
Watch with chunking rocks with all the fuckery going on in OC.
8. What’s the purpose of this post? What virtue are you signaling with your lack of compassion for others? And honestly since when is compassion a goofy reasoning for anything?
If I wanted the opinion of a willfully obtuse, boorish, contrarian Tech Grad I'd take Slorch off ignore and frequent Tech message boards. His takes nearly always suck, add no value, contain little thought and even less compassion, and the world would be better without them.

Not all village idiots deserve to have every thought they have published.
9. Treaty of Tordesillas, bro. Treaty of Tordesillas giving all this American land to Spain was never properly changed as far as I am concerned. I mean sure, a bunch of pirates, I mean Englishmen, think otherwise, pero de mi parte, que viva Eshpaña, y viva Su Majeshtad El Rey Felipe Juan Pablo Alfonsho de Todosh losh Shantos de Borbón y Grethia y también todash shush putitash con shush thigarrosh y vashitosh de vino.
Coño.

10. Makes it more interesting when the car is being driven by them while doing it. Did that some in my slut days.
Damn, that's dangerous. I don't even like most women behind the wheel in the best of conditions, some women really loose control when they orgasm.

11. Im a 45 year old white male. I understand my privelege. What the fuck kinda of lives do these people have that they think they can act this way with zero consequence? I will not even raise my voice to a LEO for fear of getting my ass shot. Just an alternate reality.

12. Got news for you, your brother isnt a mostly good dude; and I think you know that
Oh trust me. It's been eye opening. But don't underestimate the divide we have in media consumption. It's two realities.

My mom voted for Trump twice. Try digesting that shit.

To keep it topical all masked up heavily, my mom rarely left the house for the last 15 months, and all got vaccinated asap.
13. Thank you. Pro-life should also be pro-vaccine, pro-masks, anti-death penalty and pro-social programs that help young families and things like infant mortality rate and equal access to healthcare. And pro-sex education Bc it decreases abortions.
Dare I say, I also have more respect for the anti-vax far left than I do anyone on the right?  bc Thats at least a consistent position with being pro-choice (my body, my choice). I don’t agree with the anti-vax thing at all, but I can appreciate a belief consistency.
Agree completely. "Pro life" pisses me off and demonstrates how the right always wins at branding. I'm pro life in that I would like a world with as few abortions as possible, it's often tramatic as fuck, but I'm fully Pro Choice and vote accordingly. Implement policy to reduce demand ffs.
Btw I'm also largely anti war, anti death penalty excepting treason, anti violence.

14. Is this a joke? There’s no chance Trump has never paid for an abortion for one of his mistresses before. How upset were these friends of yours when Trump reinstated federal executions and tried to get as many prisoners executed as he could before he left office? How bothered were they when Trump excused the Saudis’ butchery of Jamal Khashoggi as ‘just one life,’ or something to that effect? It was more important to him to make a huge arms deal with the Saudis. (Who pay him a lot of money at his properties and, as Trump said, “They pay cash.”)
Your friends are full of shit. My assertion stands. No decent person supports Donald Trump. Find new friends.
No, they are against All that shit and were horrified. They got 3 justices and then voted for Biden. They are very passionate about the issue. I'm not saying their beliefs on abortion are not wrong and unhelpful. I think it's fucked. But they are Good people otherwise.
It's not helpful to always paint people with a broad brush of hate and derision. Nuance man, we are complicated critters.

It's fucked that a settled wedge issue still driving voters to vote for shit, which is why the Right rely on Bortion/ Guns. It's all they have. Blame the GOP bro.

My Maga brother is mostly a good dude, but a selfish fuckhead. He voted Trump twice and can go fuck himself. We are cordial. But he's a dick that cares more about his tax bill than his nephew's future. If he was a friend he would be out like many others I've dropped for being toxic, racist, shitty, or in his case a self centered bore.

I'll curate my own list of friends, bro.

15. The problem is that no one who claims to be “pro-life” actually gives a shit about human life. It’s all an act. More like performance art than a belief system.
That's not true. I have a few friends that are pro life and believe so strongly in it they held their nose and voted for trump. They give a shit ton to charity and do mission trips to El Salvador yearly. Put the maids kid through college.

I don't agree with them like I don't agree with Jehovah's Witnesses refusing blood transfusions and dying. But it's not an act.
