  1. I also haven’t owned a suit for 15 years or so, just can’t see a scenario where I’d need another one. I do still have my Marine Blues and my Army ASU hanging way in the back of the closet for some reason. Don’t know why, my kid couldn’t care less about them and I don’t blame her, and at this point I could probably sew the two together and it might come close to fitting.
I find not owning a suit to be insane, and I wear shorts and a t shirt most days to work. Weddings, Funerals, and wearing a suit occasionally on Date night gets her panties moist.

Yall showing up to funerals in crocs and cargo shorts?

  2. If you want to stick with TFO, look at the Mangrove Coast or Axiom II. Both should be around tree fiddy. Outside of that, Orvis Clearwater or Recon if you want to spend a little more. The Recon is around $500. The Clearwater should also be in that tree fiddy range with the TFO rods.
I use Scientific Anglers Amplitude Grand Slam lines on all my saltwater rods. It's pricey at around $120, but makes a huge difference loading the rod fast for those 50-60 ft Redfish shots. I could nerd out for hours on fly lines, but I'll refrain. If you end up with a medium-fast rod, the Grand Slam lines might be a bit heavy (they run almost 1/2 a line weight heavy in the shooting head) so I'd look at the SA Mastery Redfish line.
Sincere thanks for all the info and time you put in this post. Going to shop around with this guidance.
  3.  If it's a tent (think canvas) city or containers or prefabs, it can be done fast - US military does it all the time.
But then again, that's the US military and the logistics folks are fucking wizards.  I'm surprised that the Belarusians can scrounge together such infrastructure, I figure it would have all been shipped to Russia.
I think the point was to speculate on the veracity of this being an unplanned surprise action and cast doubt on that Russian narrative. On the other hand if it was planned it probably would have went worse based on Russian logistics. So ?

Drunk, corrupt enemy with a shit load of semi operational weapons is hard to read.

  4. I've been fishing before and doing quite well at some spot I found along a bank and then a boatload of assholes comes up and either runs the fish off or wants to fish there even though they have the rest of the river/lake to fish from, so I can sympathize.
That too. I may have done donuts around a potlicker a time or too when I was younger. Now I fish weekdays.

  5. Sounds like we agree the recording is a nothing to the case.
Stop fucking that chicken. Or start a Slacks wants to keep fucking this Trump Audio Tape that is a bit part of all his admitted crimes chicken thread. Maybe workshop the title though.

  6. He was probably like, wait, wait, if I just say I feel, I can say all the crazy stuff I was too cautious to say before.
Yes, my crazy ex learned that in "therapy." "I feel like I hate your guts; I feel like I'm entitled to not half, but all your shit, I feel like I should get full custody and alimony." it wasn't very effective for her, but we should give dotard a chance here to hone this new measured speach craft. "I feel like I should be allowed to commit murder, rape and treason as often as I want". It just might bring decorum to acceptable levels.

  7. The red staters would never groom young children like the Queers & Gays!
    (checks pageant program)
Okay, so they're literally 'grooming' the little girls to look like sex objects?  Got it.
That little girl appears to be groomed to speak to the manager.

  8. I’ve thought about bringing stuff home from Portland or Seattle before.  I know that there’s no risk to getting caught at the airport or in the check line when boarding in friendly territory (west coast states). My only concern and the thing that made me not bring stuff back was when you land, you are temporarily vulnerable.
The airport says those dogs walking around are looking for bombs, but can you trust it?  I’d hate somehow getting caught between the tarmac and my car. It seems like a low chance, but I guess it’s possible.
As others have said TSA doesn't give a shit, and nobody is stopping you after you deplane from a domestic flight. There is no check point; you made it.

Customs might be a different matter. Buddy got popped coming back from Mexico with gummies.

TSA made a crack about gummy bears to me on Monday in NY; no shits given.

I fly home with it all the time, but fuck driving through the panhandle with a large quantity. On ski trips during covid we just mailed the bulk of our purchase home rather than risk some local yokel cop in Dumas or Lamesa getting frisky.

LSU just scored Again as well. Rough week?

(Was rooting for Gator, despite all my Coon Ass kin, I tend to root for schools with higher literacy rates, and Florida is going to be one of the few " what you reading for" peers in the SEC.)

  10. 3 Nixons, 3 Siekos. One fit bit. I wear one everyday.
Basic Nixon for every day use, easy to read display not that I have the eyes of a late 40s dude. I can track time on site visits with hard stops without getting distracted. (My clients with Apple watches drive me nuts as they check time, get texts and then get distracted and are not present in short order. I can check time in the middle of the night without a screen waking me up fully. I have daily alarms so I can pivot from meditation in AM to work. Timer for gym workouts without looking at my phone. I also try to strictly limit screen time on weekends so a watch is essential.

Nixon surf watch with tide charts for fishing and surfing trips.

The other watches rotate in depending on mood and level of dress.
