  1. "But honey, here's your reply. You said you were o.k. with me buying the Mercedes." Nope, not a recommended standard practice.
  2. Nightmare fuel. Seriously, that looks like something you prank someone with by putting it on their nightstand so that it's the first thing they see when they wake up....
  3. Amazing fuel efficiency for a passenger aircraft in 1972. 2 days is a long time to spend in the air.
  4. Too lazy to look it up. Is that a repro of David McCampbell's ride?
  5. Chad and Anton, you magnificent bastards. Goddamn those are gorgeous.
  6. Holy shit. Is your wife's mom adopting? I'm clean and mostly housebroken.
  7. She may have. But waking me up and getting me to stay awake on a plane are two different things. Meaning that I wouldn't have remembered shit.
  8. Mosey on over to U in her B and read the "Why did you get divorced?" thread, and you'll gain some good insight into this woman.....
  9. This. I have the uncanny ability to not be able to stay awake on an airplane. As soon as I feel the plane rotate on our takeoff roll, I'm out. After my 3rd deployment the then wife/now ex and I flew to Thailand for vacation. Wheels up out of Denver and I'm out. Woke up about 90 mins before touchdown in Tokyo for our layover/plane change. She was piiiiiiiiiissed off.
  10. Guns, Girls, Gin, Glenfiddich, Guiness, Gyros, Goulash, and Grilled Cheese.
  11. I'm sure there's one or two of these around.
  12. The snozzberries taste like snozzberries!
  13. And don't forget: I before E except after C.
  14. Good enough....to fuck your mother!!!!
  15. This. Made me giggle. There was a few things about the movie that left a bit to be desired. Like Freddie announcing to the band that he had AIDS before LiveAid. In fact, he was diagnosed in 1987 (and unofficially in 1986), which was a full year plus after LiveAid. The (onscreen) turmoil about Freddie doing the solo albums seemed a bit disingenuous, since Brian May had already had a solo/side project (the forgettable Star Fleet Project, with Eddie Van Halen, if you can believe that) and Roger Taylor already had 2 solo albums in 1981 and 1984. It also seems that Paul Prenter was made out to be much more of a dickhead in the movie than he was in real life. He was still a jackass, having outed Freddie to the Sun Tabloid in '87, but just not to the level presented in the movie. All that said, I was still very entertained by the movie, and really really enjoyed it. The LiveAid performance part had me actually forgetting I was watching a movie and believing that I was really watching LiveAid.
  16. They took the bar! THE WHOLE FUCKING BAR!!!
  17. Good way to get your garage door/front door/car/driveway slathered in condiments.
