  1. Yeah I don't get the whole "I don't want to watch cartoons" thing. Good stories are good stories. None of the live action stuff is "real" anyway. The CGI or other visual effects used are basically making them live action "cartoons" so what's the difference?
  2. Not sure exactly what he's going for, but Ernest Burkhart was Hale's nephew and (like Hale) was from east Texas. He moved to Osage County to work in the oil fields.
  3. Yeah I mean I sure wouldn't want 4K HD cameras pointing at my upper-40s face today if there was literally thousands of hours of me in my early 30s to compare with, lol.
  4. Sabine fighting the dark Jedi chick with Ezra's lightsaber. PUT IT IN MY VEINS!! EDIT - I can haz post-fight scissoring?
  5. And speaking of Sabine having Ezraā€™s lightsaber, given that Kanan trained her in fighting with the darksaber, I imagine weā€™ll see Sabine wielding Ezraā€™s lightsaber in battle.
  6. I mean, his episode of Mandalorian was badass. So bring him in as a hired gun to direct an action-heavy episode? IN. Have him run a whole show? NOPE
  7. OK then. On to football I guess.
  8. I'm probably looking more forward to this than any Star Wars in recent memory. I absolutely loved Rebels and this show basically being a live action Rebels sequel has me fucking pumped.
  9. So they are shooting the new season of Reservation Dogs right now in and around Tulsa. I guess Ethan Hawke is going to be in the new season? This is him and Sterlin Harjo at Philbrook Museum the other day, which is less than a mile from my house. What Iā€™m saying is that weā€™re all basically best friends now.
  10. I fucking love the Always Sunny podcast. The best ones are where they basically talk for almost an hour about something completely unrelated to the show they are supposed to be talking about. And the trailers for the new season has me cautiously hyped. Love that Liam is back! And it looks like the McPoyles own (or at least work at) the bowling ally now, lol. ā€œWe have chili, we have cheese, we have fries, but combining them is STRICTLY PROHIBITED!!!!ā€
  11. Sabine with the short hair!
  12. Goddamnit I hate gin. DEE YOU BITCH
  13. It's because he's an overconfident prick who was certain that she *would* vote it through. In his mind, he already won Shiv over and so it was a done deal. And he needed to have the American CEO ready to be named as soon as the deal was done when the press release goes out. He wasn't going to name Shiv in the press release and then change it a few days later. That's not how those things work. Thus, he decides on Tom and then gets the wheels moving on announcement materials before the vote which was taking place like 12 hours later.
  14. I thought it was a perfect ending and, as I predicted, none of the primary sibs got what they wanted because none of them could overcome their fatal flaws, no matter how much they tried to cover them up. It was fitting that Roman, the only one of the three who has any self-awareness whatsoever, had to lay it bare for Kendall with his ā€œweā€™re bullshitā€ speech. Of course, each of them are also walking away from the sale with a couple billion dollars, so thereā€™s that. Who knows what kind of awful shit they are going to unleash on the world with that money, lol.
  15. Honestly a rotation of Tulsa, OKC and Frisco would be perfect for the Big 12 baseball tournament post-OU/Texas departure. All three offer very nice minor league parks in a location relatively central to most of the schools. Tulsa and OKC offer plenty of walkable hotels and amenitiesā€¦ not sure about Frisco but Iā€™m assuming itā€™s nice around that ballpark too.
  16. That was so much fun yesterday. And yeah Globe Life is a terrible fucking venue for this. Tulsa should get another shot to host. The one year we did we had terrible unseasonably cold weather and we still had great crowds. Iā€™d be cool with Fisco, too. Anything would be better than playing in a giant soulless building with like 1,000 people in attendance.
  17. Will be interesting to see if he does leave. It's interesting... when Holiday first took over and Walton joined from ORU, it seemed we were winning mostly with pitching, but that's definitely changed the past several years. We finished 1st and 2nd in Team ERA in the Big 12 in 2015 and 2016 (and made the trip to Omaha in '16) but since then, we've been 4th in the league in team ERA on average. We finished 5th this year. Meanwhile, our team hitting has progressively improved. in those two years we had great pitching we were 7th and 6th in the league in hitting, but in the last 3 full seasons we've finished 2nd, 2nd and 4th in team hitting. Not sure if Walton has lost his "touch" or if it's a recruiting thing, but it's been interesting that our hitting has been steadily improving over the past few years while pitching has been kind of meh.
  18. He was spiraling in terms of his home/family life, but he's actually been really focused on the business for the past several episodes. It's as focused as we've seen him since the beginning of S1. He's gone from "Umm. Yeah. Um. This is. Um. What I think I Um want to do..." to "Here's exactly what I'm going to do: kill the Mattson deal and become CEO, squeezing my siblings out in the process." And he's been arranging things meticulously to make that happen for the past 3 episodes; the final move was getting Colin back to be his bag man so he can fully become his father.
  19. I suppose there could be something in there about his preferred heir, but being a publicly traded company, any change of CEO would still need to be approved by the Board, regardless of his "final wishes." But yeah he could certainly still fuck them over in terms of money/inheritance... but not what happens at the company going forward. I mentioned up-thread, but Roman has been dead-man walking since Logan died. The only thing he's ever wanted is for Logan to love him, and since that prospect was taken away from him, he's been slowly spiraling out of control, from the knee-jerk firings, to the outburst at Mattson to the meltdown at the funeral. He's been toast for a while now.
  20. Texas please keep beating WVU. K thx.
  21. Yeah I think it's the latter. The opening credits are supposed to give you a "vibe" but really represent the real characters. I get that that TV shows bend ages of actors to suit roles, but it sure seems like, in the world of the show, Conner would have to be *at least* 15 years older than Kendall. Honestly I think 55 is a stretch for Alan Ruck, but you could say living out in Santa Fe or wherever in the desert aged him like Obi-Wan, lol.
