  1. My guess: the return of Thrawn. They launched from his SD (Chimera) which has made its way back to the main part of the galaxy from the Unknown regions. It's going to set him up to be the main antagonist in the Ashoka series, in which Ashoka and Sabine will be searching for Ezra while battling Thrawn.
  2. Conceptually I understand what you're saying but I think there would be more than 5 or 6. Last year OSU had something like 28/32 teams at its pro day without having any serious low round prospects. And just to clarify I'm not arguing that the additional exposure from Big 12 pro day wouldn't be a net positive for all involved. I was just arguing against the specific point that "scouts are lazy" given I know a scout and he works his ass off travelling all over the place almost every week during the season and then goes to multiple pro days from schools all over the country, plus the combine, senior bowl, etc., etc.
  3. I'm not sure I agree with this. My brother-in-law is a scout for an NFL team. He travels a TON and goes all over the place. Scouts may not visit literally every school in FBS and FCS but they absolutely have not problem (and do) visit every single P5 school. You're acting like some of the lesser Big 12 schools are end-of-the-line G5 schools; that's 100% not the case. The idea that NFL scouts wouldn't have seen a player from a program like K-State is completely and totally false.
  4. Was more referencing the single-camera / no studio audience / no laugh track portion there.
  5. Not to mention the length of the deal. I'm assuming whatever new deal they sign is going to be short AF because there's NO WAY Oregon/Wash will lock themselves into a long-term deal when their ultimate goal is (obviously) to get into the B1G ASAP. So what that means is if you sign a deal for $29mm now, you are (a) signing up for less money than you would get in the Big 12 right now and (b) just kicking the can down the road a few years to be right back in the same spot you're in now but with an even less attractive conference.
  6. That's a lot of word salad to say you have no fucking idea what you're talking about.
  7. I don't think they would be "giving up" the school specific days so much as it would be just creating a specific TV event for the whole conference. I wasn't meaning that NFL Network would be the exclusive broadcaster... would likely be ESPN/SECN and or a combination of NFL Network and ESPN/SECN, not unlike how both networks extensively cover the NFL Draft and Combine. If the media money is there, I have no doubt they will do it.
  8. So recently I've gone down a rabbit hole of old Jerry and Larry interviews on YouTube. One of the more interesting nuggets was that George's "This is the show and we AREN'T changing it" is literally something that Larry David said in their initial meetings with NBC. However, it wasn't arguing that the show should be about "nothing", it was their original concept of the show was that it would be a single camera show with no studio audience/laugh track... almost a faux documentary style where it would be following Jerry around during the day showing how he got his ideas for his stand-up. Obviously they gave in on that point, but I thought it was pretty interesting that they wanted to do that, given that about ~10 years later that became the de facto format for sitcoms with The Office (BBC and NBC), Arrested Development, Parks & Rec, Always Sunny, etc., etc.
  9. Exactly. Dipshit above is missing the point as usual. It's less about the fact that it's a conference pro day in that it's a TV show with the associated revenue. Every conference will be doing this in the next 2-3 years.
  10. Yormark out here playing 4D chess. PAC has not chance, lol.
  11. Yeah I definitely follow Kendall Rogers and Aaron Fitt on Twitter and I like their free content, but $15 a month seems a bit pricey for niche content that I'm only going to look at a few months out of the year. I mean, I'm paying like $7 a month for The Athletic to get WAAAAY more content across every sport.
  12. Also - IF they actually get a deal done, you know it’s going to be relatively short-term because of the Washington/Oregon situation. So yeah the best case for PAC seems to be getting “similar” money (if not somewhat lower) to the Big 12, but less exposure, and then it’s short-term so you have no stability because you know that Oregon/Wash will leave for the B1G two seconds after they are invited; and now you’re in the MWC money zone for your next deal, which may be basically right around the corner (2-3 years or so).
  13. WHO DOESN’T WANT TO WEAR THE RIBBON!!!!!??????
  14. Don’t know if Mando will die, but yeah seems like it may go back to Bo Kotaan considering how she was wielding it. Another possibility (assuming they introduce her this season prior to the Ashoka show) is Sabine Wren.
  15. Yeah there was a whole thing in Rebels where Kanan was teaching Sabine who to wield the dark saber and talked about this. Apparently there is something similar (but not exactly the same) with a Jedi and their lightsabers.
  16. Put me on Team I want to B-B-B-B-B-Bone B-B-B-B-B-Bo Kataan.
  17. Those are my every day balloons...
  18. Yeah agreed. But I think the regionals and CWS do at least get pretty extensive coverage from ESPN at least. And I should note that the Pokes have 2 of the first 3 from Arizona State and we've won 7 straight now. (knock wood)
  19. Yeah not unlike OSU's connection to Texas. Obviously Texas HS football is the lifeblood of our program, but also there are tons of "regular" students from Texas who attend OSU because they recruit the hell out of the DFW and Houston metros for kids who are good students but maybe can't get in to Texas or A&M.
  20. The Venn diagram of this demo and Surly posters is a perfect circle.
  21. Going all the way back to the Big 8 days, Colorado fans were pretty much universally despised. One of their more notorious activities were, when there was snow on the ground, they would load up snowballs with batteries and chuck them at visiting fan sections.
  22. I was told there would be no reading.
  23. True love is hard to find... Sometimes you think you have true love and then you catch the early flight home from San Diego and a couple of nude people jump out of your bathroom blindfolded like a goddamn magic show ready to double team your girlfriend...
