  1. Yes they are starters. I heard about this earlier this week, thus my prediction all week that today will get ugly for OSU unless Texas comes out and turns it over 2-3 times. This is going to be a 42-13 type game, IMO.
  2. Half of our team is out injured today. As I said earlier in the week, it's gonna be ugly.
  3. 100% this. When Sanders misses on deep throws, it's always long, and he severely underthrew a wide open Brayden Johnson on that throw. If he's 100%, he hits that throw, Johnson walks into the end zone and we go up 2 TDs again with about 7 minutes left and the game is likely over. Oh well.
  4. Kathleen Kennedy had/has the exact same job at LucasFilm for every show you mentioned. She's the President of Lucasfilm. She isn't "running" any of the shows or films day to day. If you don't like the sequel trilogy, blame J.J. Abrams and Rian Johnson. If you don't like Boba Fett or Obi-Wan, blame Robert Rodriguez and Deborah Chow. I'm not going to bother with "supposed" shit that happened based on fanboy message board bullshit. The bottom line is that she's president of LucasFilm and has been since 2012. She's been in charge of *everything* they put out in the past decade. So you can say "she sucks" if you don't like something, but then you can't turn around and not give her credit for hiring Dave FIloni and John Favearu or Tony Gilroy and greenlighting the shows you *do* like.
  5. I'll allow it. (But seriously, ya'll are going to win and it won't be close)
  6. Exactly. It's almost a disorder at this point. Everything bad with Star Wars: "Kathleen Kennedy sucks! She screwed up Star Wars" Everything good with Star Wars: "Thank god Kathleen Kennedy wasn't involved!!" (LOL never mind the fact that she's had the exact same fucking job at LucasFilm (President) since 2012.
  7. Listen... as an OSU fan I understand this line of thinking because it's happened to us a bunch of times. But I'm telling you right now it ain't happening. The only way I see it being close is if Texas comes out and turns it over 2-3 times. Then... yeah I could see it being like a one-score game. But if Texas plays a clean game and the turnovers are even or favoring Texas, it'll be ugly. I'm thinking something like 42-13 or some such.
  8. Fuck yeah it does. I can't wait to put this on my turntable and crank it up to 11 here in a few weeks.
  9. LOL. Kathleen Kennedy as the fanboy boogey man never gets old.
  10. Hard disagree. With all of the injuries, our WR corp is back to what it was at the beginning of last season... Brennan Presley and a bunch of walkons. PLUS Spencer Sanders isn't 100% and our defense is way, way worse. Saturday will be ugly. Mark my words.
  11. One of my favorite running bits on the show is them making fun of Jerry's comedy.
  12. All good points. The concerning part is just that's the immediate "go-to"... "Oh look we're in Oklahoma, there must be horses and stables..." But then it's not any more ridiculous than just about any other portrayal of any city... I mean that Austin Fire Department show with Rob Lowe is off the rails horri-bad also.
  13. Yeah we'll see. They actually shot some of this on location in Tulsa earlier this year. We'll see how cringy it is. The shots of the woman the horse in a pasture makes me nervous.. I mean Tulsa is a mid-sized city with a metro area of ~1 million people, not fucking small rural town with horses and shit. You have to drive like 40 minutes from the main part of the city to find something like that.
  14. We have outperformed Aggy in the 15+ years of the Gundy tenure, and it's not particularly close. Gundy/OSU since 2005: 154-70 (.688) overall 93-57 (.620) in conference play Seven 10+ win seasons 2 NY6 bowl wins 11-5 overall in bowl games 1 conference title Aggy since 2005: 135-85 (.614) overall 74-67 (.525) in conference play One 10+ win season 1 NY6 bowl win 7-7 overall in bowl games 0 conference titles
  15. It's sort of interesting that this perception is still out there. This may describe Gundy from about 2005 to maybe 2012 or so, but not now; not even close. We may run 1-2 "trick" plays per game, and I'm not even sure how much I could call them "tricks"... it's usually just like some variant of a flea flicker or something... I couldn't tell you the last time we faked a field goal or punt... it's been maybe 10 years or so. We rarely ever go for it on 4th down, unless it's a completely obvious situation. Hell on Saturday against TCU we 100% should have gone for two in that first OT to go for the win and Gundy still kicked it, even though Sanders was banged up and the defense was gassed. Basically he's gotten SUPER conservative over the past 5 years or so, thus I wouldn't expect any "kitchen sink" type stuff.
  16. I have no fucking idea what to think about this game. I felt pretty decent about it after we more less handled TCU fairly easily for 3 quarters on Saturday with a gimpy Spencer Sanders ... but that 4th quarter left an awful taste in my mouth so now I slant heavily toward the negative and assume we'll get our asses kicked.
  17. I don't know what he did this weekend, but I've been saying for years that he's a stupid whiny bitch. Do better than 7-5 with your greatest team ever then you can bitch, shitbird. I'll say this after Saturday and watching Sonny Dykes' fucking histrionics because he doesn't understand how the defensive substitution rule works - it looks like another stupid whiny bitch has emerged in the conference and will be going after Campell's title.
  18. Yeah there's a reason that I don't ever visit or post on OSU message boards. Honestly there is a section of our fan base - mostly younger - who are spoiled as fuck and don't realize how good we have it right now; not just for us, but for ANYONE. I've said time and time again that the level of sustained success that Gundy has reached during his tenure is exceedingly difficult for anyone including blue bloods; the fact that he's done this at a historically bad program that plays second fiddle to an elite program in a small state is incredible: 16 straight winning seasons 7 of the past 12 seasons with 10+ wins 2x Fiesta Bowl champs; 2-2 overall in NY6 bowls 10-5 overall record in bowl games Any OSU fan who thinks Gundy needs to go is a stupid dumb fuck who has no concept of what goes on in college football as a whole.
  19. LOL someone brings this up like clockwork every year. (A) Yes, the walls are padded (B) I've seen maybe 1 player actually injured by the wall in ~25 years of watching games there, and it was because of a personal foul (someone shoved someone when they were already a few feet out of bounds If it was some big issue, dudes would be dropping like flies all the time. Players are far more likely to just blow out an ACL running down the field than injuring themselves by sliding into a padded wall on the sideline.
  20. This is mostly because of injuries and youth. Jaden Bray is that next guy, and he was probably going to have a monster year but he's barely seen the field. He missed the first 4 games with a hand injury, played some against Texas Tech but was then out again for the TCU game. Brayden Johnson is probably the next closest, and could have a season like Tay Martin did last year, but has also had some injuries.
  21. Also - fucking TCU getting to face backup QBs three weeks in a row. Lucky fucks.
  22. So apparently half of our fucking starters are injured and out today, including Spencer Sanders. Nice to know 2 hours before the game starts that you have no shot.
