  1. While your comment makes sense to fans, it doesn't necessarily make sense to TV executives. I can see Fox telling USC to have one 9am local game to see how the ratings do. Maybe the whole country watches Ohio St at USC with a 9am PT kickoff...
  2. "On Sept. 29, 2007, in a ceremony at a game vs. USC, Washington made an official claim to the 1960 national championship." https://gohuskies.com/sports/2020/12/21/uw-football-national-championships.aspx See original comment: "Any retro-actively claimed title. If your administration at the time didn't think you won it, you most certainly didn't." Since 2007 is a different year than 1960, it fits the criteria.
  3. Yes, very yes, and well, BU had a good 2021.
  4. Any retro-actively claimed title. If your administration at the time didn't think you won it, you most certainly didn't. Here's looking at you, Texas A&M, Alabama, Washington, and Oklahoma State just off memory. Second, 1974 OU. On probation so ineligible for a bowl game or the Coaches Poll. Fuck cheaters and fuck OU.
  5. I can also live with that. Pick whoever you want for the other two losses. Bama and ULM lets Texas go undefeated in conference play but makes for a very shitty September. BU and OSU are realistic losses but might keep us out of the CCG (say BU only loses to OSU and OSU only loses to OU).
  6. How about ... Would y'all still take 9-3 right now, if one of the three losses was UTSA?
  7. 9-3 is very optimistic. Way more than I am.
  8. I'm sure Kyler will do his four hours like I do my conference calls - with the video open in the background but surly open in the foreground.
  9. Allegiant must be expensive if the league hasn't signed it yet.
  10. Is this going to the Olympics within the decade?
  11. Well, you know where Kliff attended college so....
  12. JJ is good. Anyone figure out how twitter decides an image of shoes deserves the "The following media includes potentially sensitive content." message?
  13. Are those from shutterstock?
  14. Too close to the neighbor's house for my liking. That's why I only bid on entire Hawaiian islands like Larry Ellison.
  15. Of course we are. Everyone loves to blame the best.
  16. Using 2025 numbers, I have SEC: 16 Big 10: 16 ACC: 14 Big 12: 12 Pac-12: 10 Notre Dame For a total of 69 teams. The five to dump (just thinking football) are what? Wake Forest, Rutgers, Kansas, Duke, Syracuse?
  17. I can't fathom being so bad that a team would pick Watson with his legal situation AND pay $10M for you to leave.
  18. Maybe I should have said "Stanford and/or Cal." It doesn't make sense to me to expand west and skip the whole state of California. Utah can't provide much as the Big 12 is already getting BYU. Don't need both Arizona and ASU to claim the state for TV markets. So why not initially target UW UO CU One of Zona or ASU One of Stanford or Cal Another Pac-12 school - If this is ASU or Utah, it's still after a California-based school
  19. If the Big 12 wants six Pac-12 leftovers, why would Utah and Arizona State be selected over Stanford? Is it assuming Stanford would decline?
  20. Fine to skip Utah and CU, but then actively go for Oregon and Washington. Ask Oregon and Washington if they want their little brothers to come along since the Big 10 probably won't take OSU and WSU.
  21. Everybody other than the SEC needs to be acting today. ACC: Beg ND to fully join. Big 10: Tell ND they have a spot, but if they decline, the Big 10 will add others. Heavily consider Washington and Oregon. Tell UNC and Virginia they can come. Big 12: Try to go to 16 with UA, ASU, Utah, and CU. Pac 12: Try to grab some Big 12 teams or propose a merger for the first 20+ team conference, the "Big Pac-2x". ... SEC: Do something anyway to go to 18 or 20.
  22. And we thought the Big 12 was in bad shape.
  23. Good match ups are entertaining no matter how physically far away they are. Some quotes from fans of ACC schools: Georgia Tech and Clemson makes sense... Wake Forest and Louisville? What? Duke, FSU, Virginia, VT, UNC, Miami... anyone that was in the coastal... ANY of those make more sense than WF and Louisville. Wake and NCSU was among the longest continuously played rivalries in the country. Miami had to have FSU, VT, and then either BC or Pitt since Miami has Big East history with those teams. Not having Miami and VT is just... questionable.
  24. The ACC seems pretty boring. The only 3 permanent match up that screams good to me is Duke's. FSU vs Syracuse? Miami vs BC? Clemson vs NC State? Yawn.
  25. Anyone find that Mexican-American Harvard Business Review case to read?
