  1. Now that legal payments have been going for a week, why is the NCAA still alive?
  2. Never expanding again? The MLB commissioner already mentioned six sites and no way the NBA stays at 30 if the NFL and MLB are at 32. True Rob Manfred didn't mention Austin or SA for MLB, but the NHL would be silly to perpetually pass over Houston for a relocation. Then there's that number - 32. We're in the midst of the longest stretch without NFL expansion (going to hit 20 years in 2022). Who say's the NFL can't host 33 or 34 teams or up to 40 teams in the next half decade? That makes SA an option.
  3. In 2005, the BCS was awesome. In 2008, the BCS sucked. That is all.
  4. So can the school opt-out and the players opt-in? For example - Could end up with Jack Coan in the game starting for the University of South Bend?
  5. ISU's slow start was factored into my still don't think it happens but new coach and new QB part. Hell, with our last coach we had slow starts too.
  6. After that, please make the case for lap dances as education-related benefits. Helps with anxiety during finals.
  7. I can see how they came up with the loss to Louisiana since they were 10-1 last year with a large victory of Iowa State. Still don't think it happens but new coach and new QB...
  8. Whenever there's a Supreme Court unanimous decision, the losing side needs severe punishment - whether it's jail-time, financial, or whatever. Since the NCAA is an organization, it ought to be disbanded.
  9. Beth Mowins and you all know it.
  10. That's probably what's gonna happen - except swap out develop some hobbies with do 2 of my 15 minutes of real actual work.
  11. Trophies are already awarded at the individual sport level. No need to sum them up for a total sports level award.
  12. The problem is lack of consistency. The Big 12 does round robin but no other P5 conference does (or can with current sizes). Take away the Big 12 CCC and everyone else still has a CCC. It's stupid and hurts the members of the Big 12 to be so different. It's easier to change the Big 12 than two or three of the other P5 conferences so that's why fans want to change the Big 12.
  13. https://sports.yahoo.com/tampa-bay-rays-tyler-glasnow-suffered-partial-ucl-tear-will-try-avoid-tommy-john-surgery-injured-192809527.html So Glasnow is mad that he cheats and now his profession sports organization cares enough to punish for that? Okay....
  14. Had to google that one. What a stupid trophy.
  15. That wouldn't be your natural reaction? What's wrong with you? You are not Michigan quality.
  16. That's exactly what the conference wants. Why increase the odds of your best team losing?
  17. I hope they add the Alabama rule - if there is an expanded playoff, Alabama will be in it.
  18. More proof that the Astros are cheating! How nice of the home teams to give the visitors access to their live stadium camera feeds. /s
  19. Does this go here? Can't wait to read a book entitled Cheated: The Inside Story of the Astros Scandal and a Colorful History of Sign Stealing 🙄 https://www.si.com/mlb/2021/06/09/astros-sign-stealing-scheme-continued-2019-playoffs
  20. You answered your own question. The conference title game becomes a play in for the team from a poor division. Every conference has that possibility except the Big 12 with the #1 vs #2 game. There it just hurts.
  21. Surprised it isn't a lifetime contract.
  22. So 12 teams it is ... https://sports.yahoo.com/college-football-playoff-expansion-plan-043900023.html
  23. How odd with the XFL and AAF recently trying and failing. +1 for Gunslingers. Also, might want to consider a mascot named Redskins for publicity.
  24. I'd find in more valuable to see how other coaches fared in games decided by 3 points are less.
  25. I think we all know that. The points are 1) There's a downside. In this example, a very smart Westlake student doesn't get accepted to UT. 2) Those smart kids go elsewhere. In this example, it was Auburn, which was to combat the statement (not from you) "Are you saying UT should be taking kids who are at Auburn's level academically?" NO! It's the opposite. UT worthy kids are going to Auburn due to the top 10% rule.
