  1. Just shoot into a fucking pillow if you gotta kill someone that bad. That's probably illegal too.
  2. I found out that Brooks Brothers has an outlet store. I went to fucking town. Much cheaper than what you see online. I didn't realize they had decided to sell shirts for normal sized, not just fat, people. Anyway now I have like 400k points that won't do shit for me for a long time. I guess it'll be international travel but at this point I'm like whatevs.
  3. That is an entirely reasonable position. Stating that Trump believed the virus was a hoax a month after he appointed a WH coronavirus task force, in a speech where he literally said 15 Americans died from the virus, is insane. If you've realized that neither party represents Americans, congratulations. You aren't the last horse to leave the barn, but you're not exactly leading the pack.
  4. When you let him bait you into this kind of thing, he wins. The end result is that you guys spent the last year dreaming of free everything, and you ended up with a guy who went to Soviet Moscow on his honeymoon and another guy who has dementia. Trump's gone from +180 to -115. The answer isn't to be worse than he is, it's to be better than he is. Which ought to be really easy, it's a pretty low bar.
  5. There are no "levels of bias". There's just bias. Everyone has it. Your job as a consumer is to understand the bias and interpret accordingly. The NY Times discovered that millions of people were starving to death in the Ukraine. But because they loved communism, they lied about it, and got a Pulitzer for their lies. Biased enough for you? Does your chart inform your understanding of what they did?

  7. Why does the fed think it's job is to prevent investors from having to deal with losses?
  8. He was talking about people with six fingers. In Italy they're essential, judging by the fact that they're open. Also, you can buy hard liquor at the grocery store.
  9. You don't want to put in a buy limit order right now.
  10. So the biggest thing holding us back now is that we didn't have a plan. We didn't see this coming. There is no off the shelf, do this and get out of jail plan. Lock everybody down, then what? Nobody really knows. The economy won't handle more than a couple of months, then all bets are off. We aren't even on 100% lockdown in the US and we've already decided to spend 25% of our GDP. Next month, we'll spend another amount, the month after that we all go bankrupt. There is no plan. Nobody knows what's next. I think we have a good outcome, both medically and economically. But it's best to plan for the worst and hope for the best at this point. And if i haven't said it enough, cardio is rule #1.
  11. I interpret this negatively. Obviously, deaths are increasing. The numbers are really bad. So the government feels obligated to tighten the noose. Who knows where it goes from here. From what I've seen, people are complying. There isn't a lot of spring break partying or anything like it, not that I've seen anyway. People are pretty spooked, that's a thing you guys haven't seen yet. We'll see what it looks like in a couple of weeks. Damn I wish I spoke Italian. i'm not an expert on Italian culture but I expect it all to end badly.
  12. Why would anyone think they could have a civil conversation with any of you? I'm not a Trump supporter, by the way. But there is no way to discuss anything in even a halfway reasonable manner. I've described myself as not Team Red or Team Blue, but Team America, going back way before Trump. And I'm not welcome here. You've collectively decided to abandon the entirety of American heritage, tradition, and its Constitution. You've made it your aim to offend every group possible at every opportunity. (I have a mild admiration for that part.) But mostly you've become an echo chamber of hatred and lunacy. You're in an intellectual dungeon. Until you make your escape from this prison of stupidity, nobody wants to talk with you people.
  13. So are they going to borrow $5 trillion dollars, or just print it? I'm guessing they aren't going to borrow it.
