  1. Ryan Leaf is calling this game. Which is ....... interesting.
  2. Look everybody loves the pity party, but Baylor will lose to OU. IF we beat them, and there are two two loss teams, and we have the head to head, well it's not mathematically impossible, other than the part about us winning a game against anybody.
  3. I'm joking, more or less. But you can't discount that both of these teams would make us their bitch. IF we get the Armed Forces Bowl we might actually play one of them.
  4. I'd take their head coach, OC, and DC straight up.
  5. We control our destiny. However, we don't control our defensive backs or safeties or linebackers, they just run around randomly like chickens with their heads cut off.
  6. Plumlee. 4/11 for 29 in the 4th quarter is impressive, even by Swoopeian standards.
  7. SMU is a good team. We would lose convincingly.
  8. Well I switched over for one play, and he fumbled the handoff then threw a block against air. You might be right.
  9. Really? Worse than Gilbert? Worse than Swoopes? Hard to believe.
  10. While you have an active imagination, I will simply restate my argument. Obama wasn't abusing his office, even though he benefited politically, because it was a legitimate investigation. Trump wasn't abusing his office, because the Biden's are dirty and Trump's desire for an investigation was also legitimate. The general principle is that while abuse of power is abhorrent and impeachable, pursuit of your duties as president requires you to do things which are sometimes politically beneficial. You cannot exempt politicians from being investigated merely because they are politicians. You still have to investigate them, even if it creates the appearance of a conflict. Nothing I've said should be the least bit controversial.
  11. What was illegal? I've asked that question over and over and nobody answers it. A couple of times people referred to an "illegal campaign contribution" but that's nonsense.
  12. He got an investigation aimed at damaging his political rival. Exactly the same thing Trump was seeking.
  13. So while Obama did benefit, the reason it's OK is that it was a legitimate investigation? In other words, sometimes as part of your official and legitimate duties as president, you may be called on to undertake actions that appear to be personally beneficial. And if you are carrying out your duty as President, that would overcome your presumption that it is being done for personal benefit. We agree 100%.
  14. Obama was looking for dirt so he could kill Trump's campaign. Trump was a political opponent, in case you forgot.
  15. The aren't similar, they're identical. Obama politically benefitted from the investigation. How is that not an abuse of power? It's not really a complicated question, it has a very easy answer.
  16. So explain why Obama should not have been impeached when he was spying on the Trump campaign. The political motivation is obvious and the facts are undisputed. We was clearly using his presidential resources for personal benefit.
  17. No, I agree that in principle, a president should not use the powers of the office for personal political gain. There was no quid pro quo, obviously, but you can keep going down that path for as long as you want. Do you agree with that principle or not? I certainly do.
  18. I don't think which resource is used inappropriately is important. The issue is that you are using government power for personal gain. A president has lots of different resources which are capable of being abused.
