  1. No lines today at the Randalls at Brodie and Slaughter, it’s been 45 min to an hour plus for the last couple weeks.
  2. Of course. That’s what Allred told them they should do.
  3. It’s not the humble brag it sounds like. My boss is paying his limo service to drive me to and from cancer treatment in Houston. Stage 4 glioblastoma kinda sucks. id normally be with you on the wishing Ill on him and his family, but he’s a super nice guy and seems a bit gullible and low information.
  4. Talking election with my 35ish year old Ethiopian immigrant limo driver. His sisters who all live in Atlanta are voting TrUmp, and he’s convinced his lifelong Democrat mom to switch over by getting her to listen to right wing podcasts. Interesting and sad to hear such a weird and unorthodox perspective.
  5. Send your kids to my wife’s school to get them reassigned. They’re doing that shit daily there.
  6. Somebody please explain to me why people allow this bullshit to happen without giving that bitch a drop kick to the face.
  7. Thank god my formerly Republican voting wife has figured this shit out and has told me she will never vote R again.
  8. Had drinks in Houston with a lifelong Republican gay guy. Very involved in the party, hosts fundraisers for them, etc. He’s praying for the end of Trump. No way he’s voting for those guys.
  9. Amen. As someone in his 50s with a recent stage 4 cancer diagnosis and with a new grandson who is the product of IVF, this shit hits home and is very serious
  10. Don’t give a fuck. I wouldn’t bail on any other plans to do so if I was her. Itnwould be a nice to have and she’d kick ass but I don’t think it would move the needle much with that group.
  11. My sister is a middle school counselor who is totally checked out from politics except for two months before the presidential election typically. Then she becomes completely radicalized and can’t wait to vote. She’s an angry white lesbian Trump hater voting for Kamala and she has convinced her military retiree African American wife to bail on the Republicans she’s always voted for. That’s a paragraph I never would have predicted I’d write. Weird world.
  12. My wife is an elementary school counselor in SW austin and has regular issues with 5th grade boys making racist “monkey” comments. My 5th grade nephew in Buda had a bunch of his friends get in trouble for calling his black female friend an N word. So of course the school’s gender reassignment protocols have been implemented to change those attitudes.
  13. My limo driver, an Ethiopian immigrant in his early 30s from Atlanta who now lives in Austin, clearly listens to lots of right wing podcasts and was telling me about the conspiracy theory bullshit he hears on there. But he was citing it rather approvingly. He didn’t say who he’s voting for, but it was a little eye opening and I’m pretty sure he’s voting Trump which is mind blowing.
  14. I didn’t know my wife posts here. She always gives me shit for my love of the Allsups burrito. But she’s a mostly vegetarian so what does she know about tasty food?
  15. That name sounds Messican. Mean Trump gonna deport her if he wins. And good riddance.
  16. Not sure which would have been a better option for my gut, the chili or the queso that I ordered instead.
  17. Yup. That’s how it went for me today in South Austin.
  18. 45 minutes in line at the Randalls at Brodie and Slaughter in SW Austin. Enjoyed hearing the old guy behind me in line telling the lady he was talking to that he doesn’t always vote but felt he needed to this year because of Ted Cruz and those fools.
  19. 45 minutes to vote this morning at the Randalls at Brodie and Slaughter. Special thanks to the young lady with very fit tan legs and a firm ass wearing white see through running shorts and white panties 5 people in front of me. Made the wait a lot easier.
  20. Does Chilis sell chili any more? I couldn’t find it on the menu at Love Field yesterday.
  21. I posted this on the presidential election thread Here’s a little voting anecdote for y’all. We’re south Austinites. My 50-something year old wife grew up with evangelical “Christian” Republican parents like me. We met as kids in church. She protested for the anti-abortion position at the Jimmy Carter Democratic National convention as a teen. Since we’ve been married she’s been very disinterested in politics and I would always have to try to talk her into voting and she would frequently be “too busy” to vote or “forget” to vote. Since Monday morning she’s been begging me to go vote with her. Totally new behavior for her. She also asked me to help her put together a voting list that has zero Repubs on it and as many anti-Republican positions as possible. She is disgusted by Trump and our parents who support him. She dragged me to the polls twice on Monday and twice yesterday, but the long lines deterred her. Last night after dinner she asked me if I wanted to try again to go vote with her. I said, nah, I’ll try again on Thursday since I had a business trip today. So she left by herself but the line was long again and she bailed. While I was on my flight this morning, she texted that she was in line to vote. And had waited almost an hour. I nearly cried. So proud! I will join her in voting purely for Democrats tomorrow
  22. As a veteran and former voter for Republicans I am perpetually disgusted by everything Trump and his supporters do. Fuck them all to hell. Every one of them. Many should be imprisoned for their behavior and the people of color who vote for him deserve to be rounded up and deported immediately if he is elected ( as he’s essentially promised).
