  1. Bought 5 yesterday in the premium terrace one section over from my season tickets near midfield. My butt is gonna appreciate the padded seats up there this season and the view is phenomenal, basically the view you would get from a TV camera a little bit below the press box.

I'm very happy with my authentic jersey. Haven't seen a replica in person to be able to compare. I'm somewhere between a L and XL with most shirts and the L fits me great.
  3. I don’t know man, I love fancy hotel rooms. In Vegas and everywhere else.

Picked up 5 tickets to the US Women's game at Q2 on 6/16. Prices ranged from 50ish to 125 plus fees, unless you wanted to pay the stupid platinum upcharge stuff that was in the 500-1000 range.
  5. Think they significantly reduced capacity this year? Don't ever remember the 3 days and single days going in minutes like they did this year. Hell, some years tickets would be available for weeks. I know it's post-Covid and everyone wants to get out, but it seemed strange how quickly they went.
  6. Well, I dicked around for 15 minutes and by the time I got through the que everything was sold out for Weekend One. Oh well, I'm sure I'll find a few singles at some point in the future.

Just checked my AustinFC app and my season tickets are there! Insert "It's happening!" gif!
  8. Can’t go wrong with Encore. Go to Absinthe if you want a show - funny raunchy version of a Cirque show. Best show in Vegas IMO. Too many good restaurants to mention at the Wynn complex or across street at Venetian/Palazzo. We’re trying Beauty and Essex at Cosmo on our upcoming trip. Get brunch at Bouchon for sure - it’s a must for us every trip.

Did my stadium tour today. Place is badass. Gonna be a lot of fun when it’s packed out. Had a couple beers up Braker at Hopsquad after. After the tour we went into the Verde store and ran into Josh Wolff which was pretty cool. Very nice guy, quite enthusiastic about Austin and chatted with us for several minutes without acting like we were bothering him. Dude looks very fit and young for 44 years old. I guess playing soccer every day will do that for you. He loves seeing the enthusiasm of the watch parties. Said it reminds him of the watch parties when he was playing for the national team but feels more fun and personal because he always felt a little removed from it then because they were usually off in some other country. Said the road trips are getting a bit tough on the team but he doesn’t want them to let up or make excuses. Full speed ahead. Said the same day travel to and from due to Covid kind of sucks because they don’t quite get the normal team bonding that you get on road trips, staying at team hotel, eating a pregame dinner night before, etc. They are very much looking forward to playing at home. I asked him if he speaks Spanish and he said somewhat and he’s getting better and many team members are working on their English. Said he took advantage of Covid to take some Spanish classes because he knew he’d need it. He was shopping with his wife and on the way out I asked if he gets a discount and he laughed and said - a very small one but they take pretty good care of me I’ll try to post a couple pics. Didn’t get one with Wolff. Figured we were fan boying enough.
  10. I got an Airbnb on the south side of Fayettenam if y’all need a place to park the RV on Saturday night. Was in Columbus in 2005 - I expect this to be similar. Hope I can dodge the bottles thrown from the upper deck now that I’m in my 50s like I did then
  11. Book a badass Airbnb in the SoCo area or overlooking Lake Austin for everyone, preferably with a pool since you’ll be hot and sweaty at the end of each day. Fest all day into the night. Sex them ladies up. Profit?
  12. I’ll be doing the same. First time in a while that I’m not going to the OU game in person so I’ll be in the beer tent too.
  13. Yeah that Lolla lineup is uninspiring but if they pick the right 50% and add some bands I like I won’t be disappointed although I would be if I lived in Chicago.

Haha. Exactly what my son and I were just texting about. We should get the US if we don't fuck it up so....

From a financial standpoint, I suspect they put Mexico in NRG and US in Austin.

Gold Cup semifinals to be played in Austin and Houston on July 29. I picked an awesome time to move to Austin - an embarrassment of soccer riches for me!
  18. Went and checked. They are just taking inquiries that far out. No pricing info.
  19. What dates are $1,500 for a booth? Any clue on if you can book for March Madness yet or when they open that up?
  20. Cross posting this from the Gambling board just in case someone here doesn't visit there. Heading to Vegas in a few weeks, staying at Palazzo. Taking my sister and her daughter (no pics) and want to show them a good time for their first Vegas trip. I have dinners, shows, pool cabana, etc. plans taken care of. I'll gamble at Palazzo and other places on the Strip, but I would like to get them some gambling experience for low dollars. They don't have much money and will be scared off by high minimums. Would like to take them somewhere that's fun, reasonably nice and not too gross, hopefully a short cab ride from the Palazzo, that has low table limits. I've heard that limits under $25 are pretty much impossible to find on the Strip right now and even hard to find downtown. I'm thinking some sort of nicer locals place maybe. Ideas?
