I always wonder if Pereira would be better suited further forward. As skillful as he is he isn’t good (yet) at protecting the back line and over the last few years when the back line get caught out it’s often because Pereira missed his mark. He’s young though and definitely has promise.
Not for nothing and knocking on wood but a W tonight against a team we should beat, and that’s 12 out of last 15 league points including road win over first place team. Could be starting a nice little run heading into the rivalry games at the end of the month.
This is the best puzzle box show ever wrapped into a history lesson most of us had no idea about until this show came out. It was the perfect amount of weird, funny, sad and stuck every landing at the end. Prbably the most underrated single season of TV this century.
I can't find it, but when Jamie played the decoy on that last goal, he was mimicking exactly what Ted was doing in practice when they were showing them how to run Nate's play in season 1. "Ohh! I want the ball, give me the ball. I want the ball please! I want you winning an ESPY at the Oscars!" There is a video somewhere showing them back to back. Was a great call back.
Mattson joked that the signing picture was like The Last Supper and even had Judas (Greg). So he didn’t leak it on purpose.
Andy Greenwald likened the conference room fight to Shiv’s eulogy. Kids (not serious people) fucking around outside the office where the business was being done. Thought that was a cool observation.
I thought the ending was unique and cool and also damning. This was an awesome show. Not Mt Rushmore by any means. But really thought they landed the plane well with the ending.
So yeah…. The last two episodes seemed to missing big chunks that would have helped me better understand character motivation. I feel like they think they are being high brow and presuming the viewer is sophisticated enough to get things that aren’t shown on screen or are alluded to, but really it’s poor plotting.
Yeah.... Kendall had to tell him to cut it out. Though it was a sign of humanity that he stood up for his brother in that moment against the putative POTUS-elect without hesitation.
All makes sense but I don’t see Roman doing anything to cause Ken to betray him. He may sideline him but Ken, at this point, thinks he has Roman. That could change of course.
I thought the triple sub killed some of our momentum and we weren’t as effective after that happened. That said, totally understand why Wolff did it.
He clearly has Zardes ahead of Urruti and maybe something has finally been unlocked. Call me skeptical.
Still - an awesome win and a deserved win. Would have sucked to dominate like that and come out with only one point.
I really like Djeffal and hope he can get more run while Wolff is out.
Let’s beat Chicago!
Only if we can trade this pick to a team that will be shitty next year for lots of picks. Maybe to Chicago, Washington and Toronto for their first this year and next year, another second or two and a solid rotation guy. Have to hope someone is in love with Thompsons.
We can’t tank on a roughly 50/50 shot we get what Pistons got tonight and lose pick. Let the market dictate for Harden and bring him in on a short term deal for under $40m. Anything more than 3 years or $40m year and pass.
I struggle with how I feel about Green on this team as a long term thing. He has potential to be Booker, from what people tell me. But my gut tells me he is really a worse version of Bradley Beal. If the latter is right can we sell high now if we don’t get Wemby?
This. Not that complicated. Shiv faked the call to Nate because she could convince Ken to not let ATN call it for Mencken and still have Gojo deal go through after because what are Ken and Roman going to do at that point? She got greedy. Ken called, off camera Nate said he never talked to her. Ken is rightfully pissed. The end.
If she really cared about “the republic” as much as she lets on she would have bit the bullet and gotten Nate and Jiminez to cut a deal even though it kills the Gojo deal.
