  1. It’s David Lynch’s Black Mirror “episode”. It’s ripping off Black Mirror a bit better than Upload is, given Upload is, although I enjoy Upload.
  2. On that last point, I am almost certain that at beginning during Rockets game they cut to scoreboard showing Pacers. So, yeah, some details aren’t quite there.
  3. Assholery is really not the right way to frame it, really. True righteous and indignant anger can be a positive in a situation like this. Doesn't make you an asshole if you are dressing down an asshole. Ummmm..... so to speak.
  4. So you have to change tires at least once in a race? Explain what happened to Albon.
  5. Are you talking about the senator? Different dude that clearly had his wife severed to forget childbirth.
  6. I guess we aren't supposed to know exactly what happened in that last scene, but........
  7. Now we know why Milchick was taking pictures of only Helly all of the time. I'm not thrilled with the triple cliff hangers. But love the show.
  8. I presume the Cedar Park Center or the LT football stadium would probably be welcoming based on bumper sticker ratios in those areas....... But seriously, I hope there are some plane banners in the works, presuming it's going to be outdoors.
  9. You don’t even have to get personal. I’d just say “Did you serve? No? Then I yield MY time, and you can spout off all the alt-right cliche tropes you want while you have the floor and I’ll just chill out right here…………………… …………………..sixteen year olds, dude.”
  10. Really enjoyed it but should be renamed The Attempted Escape of Alana Haim’s Nipples.
  11. Man, Secretary Austin showed amazing restraint there and I am not sure it’s helpful. I will forever not understand why people in these positions don’t just verbally fuck some of these guys up when they get out of line like that. That makes me ragey.
  12. I went to Roatan by myself in 2008. Had a blast despite the Germans. Stayed in West End area near north of Cannibal Cafe and just hung out, dove and drank. I have to believe that area is built up now with cruise ships coming through and whatnot. But it was a blast. Felt safe the whole time. Again 14 years ago. Took a two day trip to La Ceiba and then the rainforest while there. It was worth it to white water raft and hike up there. But La Ceiba was not a place I felt safe the night I spent there. Roatan felt so small compared to Belize or any place in Mexico which made it cool because you got to know people over a number of days there, tourists and locals, as you couldn’t help but run into them.
  13. Thx. That one is good. Seems Burnet does a better job than South Lamar. Was thinking more like "normie" restaurants that cater to the Celiac. If you like Matt's El Rancho (I do), they do a great job. Guero's does not. They have a GF menu but cook everything on the same surface without cleaning it.
  14. So “both sides”? Just say it.
  15. So after a couple of years of figuring it out a bunch of auto-immune issues, the wife was formally diagnosed with Celiac disease late last year. It has made dining out…… uncomfortable. Most places say gluten-free but cook on same surfaces etc etc. We’ve found some obvious places that work. Gluten Free kitchens like ATX Cocina and The Well. Some of the new Med places like ABA and Peacock. A couple (not all) sushi restaurants will agree to avoid cross contamination and seem to be OK. Same with good Mexican. Matt’s and Las Paloma’s are strong. But we’ve gambled and lost a few times, too. So curious if any Surly Celiac’s have found any hidden gems that know what they are doing with severe Celiac allergies. We are trying to shake up the rotation.
  16. Speaking of the HBO doc, I rewatched it over the weekend and Seyfried is really killing it. Her eyes are a little more buggy then Holmes, but the hunching and the head bobbing, etc. are all just nailed. Uncanny, even.
  17. Holy fucking shit to anyone thinking Duke getting any benefit here. The refs are calling way too tight both ways other than on Bacot throwing people around and being a living moving screen.
  18. Need a verdict on The Bubble. Judd Apatow version of Tropic Thunder in the pandemic. Could be good?
  19. Looking across all groups, about as good as can be expected....
  20. Damn, Jada slapped me harder than that riding me cowgirl in between voice acting sessions on the Madagascar set.
  21. I’m in the camp that Will laughed at the GI Jane joke, Jada made a face, Rock said.. to her… “c’mon, that was a nice one” and THAT implication sent Smith up to the stage … either on his own or based on a look from Jada.
  22. As is Rounders (screenplay at least). Both right.
