  1. Honest question: am I the only one here who would be okay with a 13-1 season where we missed CFP? I imagine I'll get crucified for this.
  2. Fuck tceh.
  3. 10-1: more wins than Iowa State rushing yards.
  4. We have more wins than they had rushing yards.
  5. There's no guarantee of that. The NFL has started ten rookie QBs this year including Danny Devito's nephew or whoever. A few years ago 9 rookie QBs started.
  6. Ten Win Steve Pissed In Your Cornflakes
  7. Isn't Blue about 6'/200? That's not that far off of the NFL average 5'10"/210.

    9-1

Like, hey, wildfire--throw some water on yourself, okay?
  9. Should have said "one of my siblings' kids" TBH.
  10. I mean, if they couldn't get Kubiag to leave the Texans...
  11. So the latest aggy rumor is that they're after Dan Campbell? Also, a "moron of aggy" sounds appropriate, though redundant. Maybe the redundancy is, like, emphasis.

    9-1

Yeah, I whiffed on Palmer. It was Robert Joseph the next year. Ryan, Robert...2005, 2006...that's not bad for nearly 20 years ago.

    9-1

Ryan Palmer until he went into the penal system, Erick Jackson, and Brandon Foster were passable as backups. And Drew Kelson was no slouch. I'd say ask Joel Klatt, but he probably has no memory of Kelson.
  14. And also could be the X factor that makes deciding to come back much easier. I wasn't around at the time but I don't think even Chris Simms was cruising around Austin in an Aston Martin, and probably didnt have an apartment/condo quite to the level of what Quinn enjoys. Chris had an Escalade.
  15. My little brother stuck around for seven years and changed majors a dozen times and this is the reason why. Only other places I've seen with consistently equivalent talent: Tceh and Texas State. Back on topic, 10 rookie QBs started this season in the NFL, a new record. The previous record was just four years ago (Kyler Murray, Daniel Jones, Dwayne Haskins, Gardner Minshew, Drew Lock, Devlin Hodges, Will Grier, Ryan Finley, and David Blough). You couldn't pick some of those guys out of a lineup if the other people in the lineup were all dressed as team mascots, and at least four of those guys, and maybe six, had nothing like the arm Quinn has. If people think Quinn isn't getting drafted...what the fuck are you smoking and did you buy it legally? If it's me, I'm thinking my contract could be $9-$12 million now and there's no telling whether I get tossed into the fire rookie season and I'm out of the league due to another injury, or I could stick around, maybe win a Heisman behind the best OL in college, make another seven figures in NIL money, have my career insured by Lloyd's, and my first contract could be $33-$35 million...among the other, ahem, perks.
  16. r/LonghornNation on Reddit is probably better suited to you.
  17. From the '70s to '90s, Miami had Jim Kelly, Bernie Kosar, Vinnie Testaverde, Steve Walsh, Craig Erickson, and Gino Torretta, the latter three of which won national championships in '87, '89, and '91 (and Kosar won in '83), with Testaverde and Torretta winning the Heisman. In terms of college production that streak is unreal, but consider that three of those QBs had lengthy NFL careers and the other three also started NFL games under center, and I doubt any school matches that streak.
  18. Fact: no OL from the 2009 roster were drafted--none, not even the freshmen who rode the bench. I don't even remember any signing as UDFA, but I don't remember what I had for breakfast yesterday, so. That roster of OL in 2009 was so bad that the next OL to sniff the NFL was Trey Hopkins, who was a freshman in 2010 and caught on with the Bengals as UDFA in 2014. If that 2009 team had even one NFL-caliber OL...Jesus Christ that season could have been up there with 2005. Instead, it was 5 dudes leaning on other dudes before shouting "Olé!" and ushering pass rushers in Colt's direction.
  19. No kidding. The backup QB has been the most popular player on the team for at least a half century. I remember my dad and grandfather arguing about it.
  20. Slightly different situation, but that was part of the argument for playing National High School POY Chris Simms over Major Applewhite and his glass knees. It ended up being a huge black eye for Texas fans, many of whom decided to shit on Simms for the remainder of his career, and Mack Brown, who revealed he was nutlessly indecisive and went egomaniacal over it (including overruling GDGD and sneaking Colt against KSU three straight times that resulted in an injury).
  21. Because it's better to have the starter on a 9-1 team go pro so you can replace him with someone who's never taken a college snap?
  22. Someone call my name?
  23. Hey...next time wait until after the game, please. Thanks.
  24. "Ewers sucks and Arch should starts...oh, wait, Ewers might be out?...We're fucked! Arch isn't ready!" VY to WR...Chiles should starts...
