  1. You could tell he wasn’t into it when he had his last year at Florida. Who knows, maybe he will ‘unretire’ in a couple of days like he did here and really screw up the locker room. Thanks for the titles but he said it himself, when he left UF, the team was a mess. I wasnt upset when he retired the second time.
  2. The other day I overheard my wife tell my daughter (who is in the high school culinary program), that there are 5 teaspoons in a tablespoon. My daughter started laughing at her. It explains a lot of my wife’s cooking errors through the years. And no pics assholes.
  3. FSU did this to UF decades ago, legislation never passed but was threatened enough to get them on the schedule. I get the reasons why and agree with it but it was a fun game to watch on rivalry weekend. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. Recovering addict as in recently trashed his parents house while they were on vacation and sold stuff for drug $, multiple rehab stints (typically leaving mid program), and other psychological issues that we’ve heard exist, just not a lot of detail type of recovering addict. I’m not even sure if we’re going to be putting knives at the place settings, lol. I’m sure I’ll have stories for here on Friday.
  5. Damn UTEX. Sounds like you married a combination of my ex and current wives.
  6. Doing it at my moms for the last time (I hope). It’s a pain taking everything there to cook but she has room for everyone. My pool is almost finished, then it will be at my house. Usually it’s fun with lots of alcohol but my SIL invited her parents and by proxy her recovering addict brother who has multiple issues. Guessing bringing the margarita machine would be frowned upon.....
  7. Could be worse, you could have come home the first visit with a contract on a whole new AC system. There’s a local company here who uses their repair guys as salesmen. They’ll fix it, then tell whomever is there (wife willing to do stupid shit), that it’s on its last legs and needs to be replaced, here’s what we recommend, sign here. Did not happen to me but I know a couple of my friends got suckered. Yes, their units were older, yes the new ones are saving money, yes, they ended up buying sooner than they needed to Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. That’s not stupid wife stuff, that’s my everyday
  9. Had to ask. They last forever, even get better with age. Properly seasoned (and maintained) nothing sticks. Can use on grill, stove, fire pit, oven. The ones I have were my great grandmothers, wouldn’t sell them for anything
  10. Harsh! She doesn’t know how to mix oil, does that help? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  11. Ok, here we go. My wife has a ton of faults, working outside is not one of them. Had a few oaks dropped in the yard. Screw paying to haul it off, I’m splitting wood for the horrible Florida winters(did this before with 11 trees). My wife has her own chainsaw (bought it for her, she likes to use it, keeps my saws out of the dirt). Also has her own backpack blower and hedge trimmer. I won the lottery She has this new thing about wanting to know how to use the yard equipment. How to mix oil and gas, how to add fuel stabilizer, how to replace, tighten chains, etc So I showed her how to change chains, tighten them, stressed the importance of bar oil, all that shit. Did I mention I had a few oaks taken down? She had her area, I had mine, wasn’t comfortable working close together. I’d stop, tighten and sharpen chain and keep going. At one point I asked her if she was minding the saw, yup. Looked good to me. Fast forward to all the branches are burned, we’re splitting wood. She’s been keeping her scwrench in her bra (no pics), and she’s been tightening the chain with the saw running. Maybe I’m a puss, but I had to put a stop to it, I don’t want to be known as the guy married to Mrs stubby, Mrs McClaw, or just the guy with a wife in a wheelchair. Bitch argued with me, told her be safe or go inside and be done. Tl;dr. Wife tightens chainsaw chains while running. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. Worked well for him for years. Lost my urban blinders in 2007. If you can coach, hired. If you can play, recruited. Florida was his first long term gig, he can recruit talent for sure, can’t build a team for shit. It’s about winning with him, that’s it. Collateral damage be damned. He says the right things, doesn’t practice what he preaches and believe me, he controls the message. There is zero chance he didn’t know. He was caught short by the question because no one in his circle would have let the truth out. Whoops. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  13. I grew up here so I probably had better ties. If interested, next time you’re here I’ll buy you a beer. 3 am singing and eating at skeeters was part of the experience, Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  14. Oh, he is getting paid I’m sure Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  15. It’s Ohio, couches are never safe Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  16. Yup. It’s changed. Skeeters has been a much missed establishment for 20 years. They moved to downtown and promptly went out of business. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  17. During the Gainesville murders, if you were male, had a place for them to sleep, you got laid. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  18. Most of which don’t need roads, just targets.
  19. Yep, girls were ready to not sleep alone during that time. That was a dark, dark spot here. Was surrounded by cops with guns drawn trying to snag a banner off a fence. You would be surprised of the changes going on here
  20. Looks a hell of a lot better there than 00-10 fl. Nip/tick maybe?
  21. Urbs is all about urbs. Florida learned that in 2009 and his payout for not doing dick in 2010 Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  22. Lol, we probably were at the same party’s. Moved here in 78 when I was 6. Never left. Yeah, there’s bad areas, Gainesville has changed a lot since then. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  23. Yes, I grew up in Gainesville and still live here. I travel all over the state, country, and world for work. I have spent months in Houston, weeks in dalllas, San Antonio, Austin , corpus, and a really shitty one in a dry county in Texas (Tyler?). Actually enjoy people in Texas, no complaints except for traffic. Yeah there’s bad places in Gainesville, there’s some really bad areas in surrounding counties depending on the color of your skin (that goes both ways). Gainesville is a very liberal city, does racism exist, sure—exists everywhere. Have you been here? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  24. So in 2009when his life coach talked her into not pressing charges, he was respecting women and core values? By having his cronies talk her out of it, he probably committed her to almost a decade of abuse. Her life could have been different from that point in time forward. Yeah, I drank the kool aid when we were winning but the wheels started falling off the bus at UF in 2007. That’s when we learned what comes out of his mouth is not always (or usually) the truth.
