  1. There’s a new Capitol grille opening up next to J. Alexander’s at I-10 and La cantera.
  2. 27 titles. Exactly 0 are tainted by sign stealing or any other kind of allegation. Sorry your team sucks.
  3. I’ll start watching our team only if she comes here. But everything I’ve read is that it’s between Tech and LSU. It’s funny I get painted as some radical misogynist but I’ve probably paid attention to women’s basketball longer than anyone else on here. There’s been great documentaries about it over the years (The Heart of The Game, the shoni schimmel one, No Look Pass). I remember Amber Ramirez bursting on to the SA basketball scene as a high school freshman, her hitting 7 three’s in the state title game, her playing at TCU. The problem is the sport is ONLY worth watching if there’s a compelling story. You can’t watch it just to enjoy it, because it’s not an enjoyable thing to watch. It’s not like other sports.
  4. His demons must’ve been going at least 2-16 in conference play.
  5. I mean, not really. The games are brutal to watch. I watched the Iowa-LSU game last year. The whole game was Clark chucking up 3’s and LSU feeding their technically unsound big girls downlow. No one had any real skill at all, it’s a pretty unwatchable sport.
  6. Imagine the final score if the men’s team played the women’s team. I don’t know that the women could keep it within 60 points.
  7. Wrong sport there. It’s not basketball.
  8. Not even close. The prime time slots and games right now are more about political shoehorning than genuine interest. Clark was a flash in the pan thing, but now that she’s in the pros viewership has waned significantly. Go look in the comment section of any Instagram or Twitter post when women’s sports is posted on an ESPN or big sports account. It’s 75% “no one cares, why are you posting this”.
  9. Not sure who my favorite player on the team is between Flores, Galvan, Mendoza, and Rodriguez. I’ve known of Flores and Galvan since they were in high school but A-Rod going deep in his first game is pretty special. Dude has a bright future here.
  10. That park is where Lauren Bump got murdered while jogging about a decade ago.
  11. Some surprising depth to Milchek’s character.
  12. It’s special to make it to the MLB no matter what team. But does anyone give a shit that they play for the Brewers, Dbacks, Rays, etc? Of course not. But being a Yankee actually means something, former players say as much and how different it is. No kid grows up imagining themselves playing on the Padres or the Astros. You grow up dreaming about being on the Yankees.
  13. Dramiga was 100% murdered in the greenway. She went for a walk in the greenway and never returned, body was found a day later on the trails. Police are saying she was ambushed in a random attack. Castillo was likely a random killing as well but it’s not as clear, police have not called it random yet. And now I’m remembering a 3rd murder on the greenway about a month ago, homeless woman on the NE Side. But that one is harder to count as it was not on a trail technically https://www.kens5.com/article/news/local/reward-crime-stoppers-san-antonio-bexar-county-investigation-salado-creek-greenway-trail-stacey-dramiga-reward-information-case-arrest/273-01340f57-9e7e-4468-9bee-dbbd6bf3d72f
  14. Surviving black hawk down was a “great” watch. Sad what those soldiers went through in a place yhey didn’t have to be in. What a clusterfuck of an operation. “We are made to either shoot or be shot”. -Somali soldier interviewee.
  15. I’d stay off the greenways/parks mostly. 2 separate murders of joggers along the greenway a few months ago, killer still at large. Also holy fuck at 8 days in San Antonio. You could do everything worth doing and then some in one weekend.
  16. I like it. It’s a privelege to play for the Yankees. It’s not special to play for any other teams, they’re very individualistic, and things like appearance and personal conduct on/off the field mean nothing to them. The Yankees have always represented class and doing things the right way, so no facial hair, and no names on the jerseys fits the team well.
  17. You know the contracts are insured, right? He’s not costing the Angels a dime, only a luxury tax hit.
  18. You guys please let Guadaloppy drive his swasticar and gargle Elon’s balls in peace, it’s his right to do so.
  19. He saw one picture of his swing and knew the game, pitch, and exact count of when it happened, over 2 years ago. Wild.
  20. I posted as much on a thread in here last year I believe after trying to watch ITYSL. I saw one funny skit in 4 episodes I think (babysitter hit & run or something). It’s just painfully unfunny and it doesn’t hold a candle to Key & Peele.
  21. I would think getting a new basketball coach here is an easy sell though. One coach and 2-3 really good transfers can take any team from terrible to competitive.
  22. In fairness you or I could take over the tennis team tommorrow and it wouldn’t skip a beat. It’s an individual, highly technical sport. A college coach does absolutely nothing in tennis. They’ve all got private coaches to hone their skills, and there’s no strategy to deploy. It’s nothing like trying to find a team sport coach.
  23. Hopefully I get a ring too then, because I helped the dodgers win just as much as he did
  24. Tim Robinson is one of the least funny mainstream comedians out there. This movie looks like pretentious meta crap, not one laugh or punchline in the entire trailer
  25. It’ll take a couple years but trump is going to get sick of Elon. I was shocked Trump didn’t even fake a positive expression in that video, he just looks annoyed.
