‘Member when the Orioles were the next big franchise with that wave of young superstars ready to take the league by storm? I ‘member
9-12 currently lmfao
He lost my respect when he wouldn’t cut his hair like Ewers did. If you want all the attention, if you want to make it all about you, you better be able to deliver when it counts. He couldn’t.
I’ve never been to Frisco or even spent much time in DFW. But looking at the TAPR profile (statewide accountability system for schools) for each school, the school that Metcalf went to actually has a lot more economically disadvantaged students and was a lot more racially diverse than Anthony’s school. Centennial (Anthony) is actually 51% Asian and only has about 9% “poor” students enrolled. Memorial (Metcalf) has 21% poor students, and whites making up the largest chunk of the student body, but only at 37%.
and TIL that not all affluent Dallas suburbs are Southlake carroll copies
The game is far, far different now than it was back then. Guys are ready faster than ever now and the league puts a gigantic premium on youth when it comes to drafting. If he has a great year he’s gone.
Yankees because I grew up hours away from the 2 texas baseball teams and Derek Jeter was my favorite athlete, longhorns because my parents and some family went there, gators because alligators were my favorite animal since I was a kid.
Tldr: it’s America and I’m free to root for anyone I want
That’s nuts if true. I’m part of the Florida gator subreddit, and the common talking point on there is that they don’t have the horses to be competitive in the NIL or transfer portal game. In football anyway, basketball proved to be different.
Florida was pretty much the only SEC school doing things clean and above board when it came to recruiting. They didn’t have any fuck you money boosters, even today. Spurrier took that program from a perennial nothing to a strong force the hard way.
Was getting annoyed at all the exaggerated Rockies talk on here. Looked at the standings today, damn they really are uniquely bad. Also lulzed at the Tigers, Yankees, and Rays being the only 3 AL teams with a positive run differential. This sport is broken.
I’ll go into it with low expectations, Civil War had no commentary or point to make and was essentially a mindless film. Which is fine for action movies but don’t try to shoehorn human drama into a movie like that. If this is just explosions and fights and knows it I think it could be enjoyable.
Who gives a shit? He interfered with the play EXACTLY the same way the Yankee fans did. Held the glove, ripped the ball out, could’ve easily injured trout. Astro fans were literally in tears when that happened to Betts, now they’re celebrating this loser just because he faked being sorry after.
