  1. I’ve never met a Trump supporter that wasn’t shy about talking about it. In fact it’s the complete opposite. No one ever had Biden flags or hats, but they still voted for him. The “silent majority” thing was always bullshit.
  2. Just got the game and played my first game on All-American against A&M after a couple minutes in a practice. Pretty goddamn hard, or maybe I just suck. Went down 17-0 quick and had 6 total yards at the half. Lucked into a pick 6 in the third and finally hit a couple passes. Ended up winning 18-17, Gavin Holmes with a sealing pick as time expired. I might just play on freshman from now on. Zero desire to ever play online, I just want something to blow off steam at the end of the day. I don’t need ESPN instant classics every game. It’s also bullshit that a three-score comeback isn’t an Achievement.
  3. That has to cost at least $75
  4. I believe I finished tied for 9th or something in this site’s NCAA Tourney Challenge this year (out of 70+ entries). I was 8-4 picking winners in the Texas football state championships. I’m wrong no more often than anyone else, I’m just the only one that ever gets called out/remembered for it, Greenspoint too somewhat. People love their narratives even when their wrong.
  5. I mean if you want to split hairs you’re correct. I was lumping them together because I imagine it’s all one sales pitch. But I guess it’s a better convo for an NIL thread
  6. I’m talking about the scholarship & stipend aspect, which is a part of an athletes NIL deal. Of course I know the actual school doesn’t pay them cash.
  7. I just can’t bring myself to donate to the NIL. UT is a public school and I live in Texas, I’m paying for it in someway already. And I gather that we already have the most robust and well-organized setup for it in college football anyway.
  8. 2025 schedule drop. Season opens with the Dodgers in Tokyo for the first time ever, vs the Cubs. Earliest league-wide opening day ever as well, March 27. And “Rivalry Weekend” sounds like a cool idea. https://www.mlb.com/news/mlb-2025-schedule-released
  9. And raises it up in terms of culture. I’ll take any RGV town over some of the suburban douche-filled shitholes in this state (like Bulverde, Spring Branch, etc… 2 fully random examples)
  10. Fun fact, the bottom 2 states in the entire country in terms of % of adults with at least a high school diploma are Texas and California. I believe California was in 50th place and Texas was less than 1 percentage point higher in 49th place. People pretend like they’re so different but their both pretty full of fucking idiots. Cali does have some pretty nice weather though and better scenery.
  11. Episode 7 might’ve been the best one so far. Molto cross-examination was fantastic.
  12. Say it louder for the people in the back:
  13. No games today… seems like a good time to to give a salute to former Yankee pitcher King Cole, who I only learned about recently. Diagnosed with terminal lung cancer at the beginning of the 1915 season, he was given just months to live. He had surgery to remove the tumor anyway and worked to rejoin the team in July, finishing the year with a 3.18 ERA in 10 games. He died several months later in January 1916.
  14. Fuck. Now we have to endure an entire season of multiple @The_Great_Hornsby posts blaming Flores for A&M’s entire CWS run every single day.
  15. I didn’t know he was JT Sanders size. Seems modern TE’s are more in the 6’5 or 6’6 range. But I’ve always said if you can play you can play, sounds like a solid get.
  16. Townsend is going to play LB here correct? Dude would be tiny as a TE.
  17. That’s becoming more and more common in that demographic. Discord has said he had an account on there but that his chat history only pertained to gaming and had no mentions of violence or plans for violence.
  18. Saw yankee fans in instagram comments saying Dustin May tore his esophagus giving another Dodgers player a blowjob. That’s where we’re at.
  19. I’ve seen a few interviews with former classmates. The only common thread is that he was a loner that came to school in hunting attire frequently. Some have said he had conservative beliefs, that he was bullied, that he “tried out” for ROTC rifle team (at my school anyone in ROTC could be on rifle team, you just had to be good to go to the actual competitions). To me it just sounds like people that didn’t really know him acting like they did.
  20. What’s the point of an attempted political assassination if no one knows your motive? Apparently shooter had no political social media posts or anything. If he left behind a note or manifesto it’s at the mercy of authorities to release it now. Which is why most shooters that do that kind of thing lately make a post or video online so its guaranteed to reach at least some audience. It appears this guy did none of that.
  21. Who the fuck still reads Time?
  22. No way we even crack the top 20 globally.
  23. I will say the shooter being a young white guy isn’t going to give Trump the bump that it would’ve had the shooter been in one of “those” groups. And how stupid are we as a society to think getting shot at suddenly makes you a better presidential candidate
  24. He apparently registered as a Republican when he turned 18 and had only voted once, in 2022, and never again. Doesn’t seem like a sleeper agent situation. Could be a kid that just changed his views, or a Nick Fuentes fanboy that was mad at Trump. Or just another angry mentally sick young man that wanted some fame. We’ll probably never know.
