  1. Did people really not know that even the flu can kill young, healthy people? It’s not super common but it happens probably a few hundred times a year in the US alone. It’s always been that way.
  2. The dodgers Japanese pipeline is such bullshit. Is there even much of a flight time difference to Japan from non-California cities? It’s on the other side of the world. I don’t get why they’re all so fixated on playing on the West Coast
  3. I notice his (by 5 star standards) pedestrian numbers. But from highlights his QBs look like a far step down from Ernst last year and the whole defense just keys in on him every play.
  4. I’m going to try to watch Alamo Heights at some point in the playoffs, looks like they will win 2 games before running into the Corpus Christi Miller buzzsaw. I can finally provide my scouting report on Terry, stat sheets don’t tell you everything.
  5. How many third string transfer receivers are the source of significant social media discussion? Exactly one. Tweeting that picture was a smart move exposure-wise
  6. Some place called Mixtli got a Michelin star. I’d never head about it in my life until I saw the list.
  7. This kid is smarter than all the posters on this thread combined. He knows how to push buttons and how to market himself, and knows how true the “there’s no such thing as bad press” mantra is. Everyone is talking about him now and he can leverage that for more NIL
  8. DFW looks filthy this year in 6A. Duncanville, Desoto, Southlake, Allen, North Crowley. Even Euless Trinity is 9-1 with just a one-score loss to SLC.
  9. And people argue over all of this just for most of the state championship games to be one district champion getting obliterated by another district champion. The sport itself is just super unbalanced.
  10. You’re lucky to play in about 20 varsity high school football games in your entire lifetime. Somehow I think these kids will be ok with playing in one extra game even if they didn’t “earn” it. It’s not their fault the UIL put them in a 4 team district.
  11. Del Valle actually is pretty good this year though. Their QB is a 2026 4-star committed to Arizona State
  12. Not really, looks like a bunch of lopsided blowouts. The most interesting ones are at the 5A level imo. Southwest-Seguin. Southwest is actually good and 10-0, they’re looking to go deep in the playoffs for the first time in a very long time. Jay-New Braunfels, can Jay pull the upset? I’ve also got my eye on Burbank-Pfugerville. I’ve been raving about Keven Hernandez on here for 4 years. He’s led Burbank to their first district title in almost 50 years, can he deliver the outmatched southsiders their first playoff win ever (I think)?
  13. People always say this and I don’t get it. Every team could make the playoffs and it would still be the usual ones playing in Arlington at the end.
  14. Colorado had 14 flags thrown on them that game. And they still stomped Tech
  15. Anyone in here have colorado starting 7-2?
  16. Way to be alert on the loose ball, Tech
  17. Florida hasn’t been shutout since 1988. 457 consecutive games.
  18. 6A teams are weak this year even by valley standards. In 5A I’m watching out for Edinburg Vela and PSJA North. And on the TAPPS side Brownsville St. Joseph is state ranked and looks to make some noise in the playoffs.
  19. They’re basically all set, some might be pending the saturday games today. Playoffs start next week
  20. Shoutout to San Antonio Burbank, who beat SA Lanier on thursday to clinch their first district title in 46 years.
  21. In the past week their star QB got hurt, they found out their terrible head coach is coming back next year, and that their promising young basketball coach is being investigated for being a creepy stalker/sexual predator. Their spirits are broken. I hope it’s a close and competitive game for their sake.
  22. There’s a very real chance we shutout Florida. They haven’t been shutout in a game since 1988. Longest streak in college football history I believe.
  23. Datapoint is the name of the street it originated on. It is authentic
  24. lol at all the whitewashed suggestions on here. El Bucanero - Mexican seafood. Multiple locations Pollos Asados Los Norteños - Rigsby location is the best. Taquitos West Ave Taqueria Datapoint
  25. I know Herman’s best seasons all came on the backs of rosters he didn’t recruit (at UH & Texas), but damn I thought he could at least take a team in a shit conference and do better than 2-7.
