  1. As I posted in the higher ed thread, Removing programs/degrees/certificates is more locally done within that department by faculty long with their dean. You get as much data and information as you can and make a determination. If it’s deemed the program/degree/certificates should be deleted or eliminated, then that’s a process that takes a few years because you have to ensure it won’t impact students who are already in the middle of completing that program/degree/certificate. BoRs and Presidents/Chancellors do not get involved in curriculum. That is overreach. And as I’ve posted here before, programs get reviewed on a cycle in higher ed.
  2. You’re an Aggie, y’all are always smug yet have no national championships to justify the smugness.
  3. In the post-mortem, Dems need to ask why did nearly all of the swing state Dem senators win while Harris didn’t? Also of note, Harris got more votes in Wisconsin this year than Biden did in 2020. She was just 175,000 blue wall votes from winning.
  4. They are. They are also very condescending and douchy.
  5. What media members were belittling people on the right? CNN is leaning to the right at this moment and has been for the last year or so. MSNBC is just MSNBC Fox is for the radical right already. So specifically who in media was doing that? Why isn’t belittling people on the left by the radical right wing media getting any blame?
  6. None of the trumpets here recognized or denounced this either.
  7. Those claims of election fraud sure did disappear…
  8. Yup. As someone said earlier—them electing trump has nothing to do with inflation or the economy rather it was about how people perceived those things. They perceived those things because of radical racist right wing media.
  9. There is dem arrogance, sure. That isn’t the major issue. I’ll research it after my flight, but there was someone did a focus group on dem policies and they worded it in a way to make it seem like they were policies coming from the radical republican party. Those in the group loved the policies and were really excited about them. The whole time, thy were policies the Dems were proposing or were already doing. This is 100% a misinformation/disinformation election.
  10. Someone brought up something on twitter the other day that I thought was interesting: The reason the radical right has all of their online echo chambers on lock is because they are being funded by the tech bros. The tech bros like the radical right because, well, tax breaks and more money for them. Dems don’t have anyone like that who is willing to fund/prop them up on the platforms. They have to rely mostly on crowdsourcing. That isn’t going to make a dent in the radical right wing echo chamber.
  11. Floating Paxton for AG is certainly a choice…
  12. When Florida was a more bipartisan state, they actually passed pretty fucking decent laws that resulted counting ballots faster. They were embarrassed over the hanging chad shit, so that’s partially why they did this. Florida passed a law that allows for them to start counting mail-in ballots 22 days before Election Day. State law says early voting ballots must be completely counted before Election Day as well. In Florida, the mail-in ballot has to be received by a certain time on Election Day. In Nevada, it just has to be postmarked by that day. Part of the reason Nevada has that law is because of those citizens who live in the remote areas of the state mail takes longer or they don’t have access like those in Reno or Vegas. Republicans go against bills to help count faster because the slower tabulation time feeds the narrative republicans want which is “rigged” when it’s really not. Dems want to be able to count faster—republicans don’t.
  13. He’s a notable white supremacist, who are all trump supporters (and the surly trumpets are okay with that).
  14. States have tried to change their laws to make tabulating votes easier and faster. Who voted those down? Republicans.
