  1. I'm pretty sure he's an adult now.
  2. I understand that. But, why would he give a fuck about any rules about "stockholders" if he takes it private? Or stock prices...All that shit goes away when it goes private, doesn't it?
  3. Could a lot of that be nullified if he actually took it private? Sounds like a lot of those bylaws refer to a publicly traded company...
  4. Luckily I'm cheap as fuck so I'm not paying for that. It would be a better low cost model if they charged you to NOT crash. I'm thinking they could get most people to pay that fee. The millenials and gen z might opt out though based on all the memes I see....
  5. NYC will always suffer through high prices unfortunately. It's basically limited space with a HUGE demand. I guess they can tear down a bunch of the shorter skyscrapers and build newer, bigger ones, but that's still limited. It's not like DFW which, although it has pockets of VERY expensive housing, is reasonably priced for the most part...this is because if things get TOO expensive, they just point to someplace with no buildings and say let's build some stuff there. It can (and does) just keep expanding outwards...a luxury NYC (and SF, LA, SEA, etc) doesn't really have.
  6. I think this is a subject that could go CR REALLY quickly... But...not trying to do that, basically what you're proposing is some kind of price controls on housing, which opens up a huge can of worms that WILL go CR if the discussion gets too much into them.
  7. This could be ripe for HUGE abuse. Buy for $300K...don't live there. Market price goes up to $500K. Restricted to 10% profit, you sell for $330K. I buy for $330K, live there for required period then sell for $500K and make a $170K profit even though the market price didn't increase AND I needed $170K less for investment.
  8. If she's hot, I'll help shove and cram her shit and stow my rigid object.
  9. The idea of a tuned mass damper is that it DOES reduce the amplitude of the sway. The bottom part of the graph (m12,k2,c2) is the TMD...when it moves, it effectively dampens out the motion of the mass m1. Here's a good video showing the principle. The smaller orange mass vibrates at a frequency that cause the frequency of the larger mass (the structure) to damp out and stop swaying.

  11. Wait...what's SUPPOSED to fall off??
  12. My son in law is from Polson, MT at the south end of Flathead Lake. I've never been but the pics I've seen from my daughter are amazing...
  13. Prove me wrong And dang...we need more pirates.
  14. So, you think that if J&J has to pay out a lot more than $2 billion that there won't be layoffs? And layoffs from the rank and file that had NOTHING to do with anything involved in this case? Maybe that's true. But, generally when companies have a lot of extra expenses, they have to find ways to cut costs elsewhere. And many times that's with RIFs... I have ZERO problem if people that lied and hid information are punished. And I DO understand that some punishment HAS to come from the corporation. But, I also realize the corporation is made up of a lot of people that don't deserve punishment.
  15. Feeling sympathy for employees of J&J that may lose their jobs despite having nothing to do with wrong doing != Feeling sympathy for J&J the corporation
  16. JFC... We don't need that visual.🤮
  17. 1440, with a double twist and triple lindy
  18. I NEVER said anything like that. A corporation that does bad things SHOULD face punishment and the people in the corporation that were deliberately party to those bad things should ALSO face punishment. But, should Bob the janitor, Alice the Office Admin, Elizabeth the IT tech, Juan the midlevel Engineer, etc lose their jobs and retirement funds/pensions because of it?
  19. I understand the concept of liquidating companies...But, I've always thought it ended up punishing a lot of people that don't deserve it - all those employees that lose their jobs/pensions/etc during the liquidation. The VAST majority did nothing wrong. They just went to work every day to earn a living and hopefully be able to retire. Liquidating the company eliminates that for a large amount of them.
  20. It's right there. In the name...
  21. Haha...fair enough. Nah, when I did this, both my GF and I got the SWA Visas and got CPs. The thought was that she and I would go on mine if we took a trip with just us, but then we could take couple friends on other trips - so, me and one friend and her with the other friend. Didn't really look into the rules beforehand. My bad. So, now my GF and I are looking at several trips this year with just us, but then taking a few trips with one couple and some more with another. If I have to switch back and forth for each trip it would make it difficult to actually do the plan.
  22. Question about Companion Pass on SWA since I've never had one.... I've seen that you can pick a Companion and then change them up to 3 times. But, could I set Companion 1, then book trips in April, June, and October, then set Companion 2 and book trips in May, July, and November? Basically, I would be switching companions between trips without going through the process to switch it multiple times...
  23. That's awesome! PM me the Apache pilot's name and I'll see if my guys knew him. Apparently, it was a pretty close knit community.
