  1. I think that shouldn't be the case in TX. I also think it shouldn't be the case in NY, CA, and IL. Hell, CA voted 38% for Trump...and has 17% GOP representation... But, if TX plays nice, then the GOP gets fucked. Since the Dems aren't going to play nice in those states. I don't like it. I think it's wrong. But, I also think the GOP allowing themselves to be fucked is wrong. No.
  2. In Texas, people voted for Trump 56%-43%. The legislature is 59% Republican and 41% Democrat. Contrast to CA: Trump 59-38, Legisture 82-17... One is actually close like I think it should be. The other isn't.
  3. I've never said the bolded. But, since you talk about gerrymandering... New York voted 56%-44% for Trump. They gerrymandered their congressional districts to 73%-27% Democrats... California voted 59%-38% for Trump. They gerrymandered their congressional districts to 82%-17% Democrats. Do you think that any Republican good ideas are being looked at there? Do you think they're seeking any bipartisan compromise there? I think the state legislative representation should be close to how the state normally votes state-wise. And if an area in Austin is mostly Democrats, they should have Dems representing them. And if they're mostly Republicans (haha in Austin), they should have mostly Reps representing them. Bozo keeps going to the "communities of interest"... But, politics is one of those interests.
  4. You can also look at the Senate races. They'll generally be close to the same representation as the presidential candidate. In addition, you can look at state legislature representation - just use statewide offices to get the percentages. Should the congressional representation be 57-43 Republican if the state votes 59-42 Democratic?
  5. I think, and thought back then, that areas that are majority Republican should have representation that is Republican and areas that are majority Democratic should have representation that is Democratic. I will agree that the congressional delegation should "map" to the way a state votes... If the state is 57-43 Republican, the representation in Congress should be close to that. If it's 57-42 Democratic, it should be close to that. That shouldn't be too controversial.
  6. I've done that. Then the mob on here just dumps a bunch of "dumb aggy", nazi, racist, blah blah blah on me. Then a certain someone goes through my posting history and does a lot of neg repping to, I assume, get me sent to purgatory (it's actually a thing on this site). It's not worth my time to engage since I know that no one here actually gives a shit what I think.
  7. Why do you call me out like this? We did this a few months back. You obviously don't actually care about my views or opinions. Are you just trying to get a conservative to post on here so the rest of the posters can shit on me?
  8. The flavor has a little more wang to it.
  9. Did they just get a bunch of stoners in a room, hand them a bong, and give them carte blanche to invent flavors?
  10. I need to try this... I always get stuck on doing it the "traditional way" that I've done before. Because it looks delicious.
  11. I lived in Darmstadt as a kid, so this hits close to home.
  12. WOOHOO! I see Penelope did her normal thing and found a bunch of my posts specifically to neg rep me. I assume she's trying to get me sent to purgatory like she did earlier. I find the her behaving like an 8 year old throwing a tantrum quite amusing...
  13. My point above is still correct.
  14. Kewl. Stay in the echo chamber.
  15. I didn't say that. How would you infer that from my post?

  17. a) you can put an @ in front of a username and it will send a notification b) WTF are you asking about "Bush's war in Iraq"? c) And what about IRS agents?
  18. Please explain who else shut it down.
  19. I'm not asking if you play word games. I can't have an intelligent discussion with your without YOUR definition of what a "conservative" is. How do you get that from what I'm posting? Are you implying that I don't want taxes kept low for people that are not top earners? IDK what examples you're looking for. I didn't say anything about voting. Do you have someone that shares your positions that you have had an opportunity to vote for lately?
  20. If you think everyone but badteammate is a conservative here, I would LOVE to understand your definition of "conservative".
  21. Apparently, you didn't actually look at my positions in my post. But, I'll give you kudos for looking that up on the internet.
  22. That's kind of rude.
  23. Ask @Bozo_Casanova Don't know his definition, but apparently I'm not remotely conservative. So...go to my post above on my positions...
