  1. Except Trump is so incompetent that the "transcript" he released is still damning in its own right.
  2. In the appendix, the whistleblower says that this wasn't the first time the white house hid transcripts of Trump calls in the top secret server to protect him politically.
  3. That would be funny, but she's not an intelligence officer, or someone with basic human decency, so it's not her.
  4. What were the concerns? I've used up my free articles.
  5. Was this funnier before we all saw the damning contents of the call? I'm guessing not.
  6. The best part of this is Pompeo and Mnuchin standing there like the dipshits that they are.
  7. I don't know if it would be effective, but I see what you're going for.
  8. Haha now Trump is offering up other conversations, from him and from Pence.
  9. I love how he cited pressure on Ukraine from Dems and said "Sound familiar?", which acknowledges that he was putting pressure on Ukraine too.
  10. No. That's an argument for PR/the media, maybe, but it would hold no sway in a court, and a jury wouldn't even be allowed to hear it. Not getting removed from office for a "High Crime or Misdemeanor" has no bearing on the legal elements for federal statutory crimes.
  11. He sounds like he's about to cry
  12. I don't see why it would. The processes are completely separate. Bill Clinton wasn't convincted in the Senate but had to cut a deal afterwards where he lost his bar license, etc.
  13. Trump can't remember the word "first-hand"
  14. Just started, Trump sounds like shit
  15. Why wouldn't you include the Mueller stuff in the articles of impeachment? That's insane. Not only should that be impeachable as a matter of establishing future precedent, but it lays the groundwork for what is essentially now a repeat offense. Trump got help from Russia to trash his opponent in 2016, and is now trying to manufacture the same situation in 2020. It's a compelling story of corruption and abuse of power.
  16. Yes, both sides probably, so let's just move along.
  17. As long as we don't let him off the hook...
  18. He's testifying in both open and closed sessions. Edit: From the WaPo story about the DNI threatening to resign: "The officials said that Joseph Maguire, who was thrust into the top intelligence post last month, warned the White House that he was not willing to withhold information from Congress, where he is scheduled to testify in open and closed hearings on Thursday."
  19. Nunes just said that the DNI is sending the whistleblower complaint to Congress this afternoon.
