Transfer Cycle 2025-2026 - Shit In One Hand, Hope In the Other, Tell Us Which One Fills Up Faster
Coleman's agent knows how this works. Tell A&M he is considering Texas, watch them bid against themselves to keep him from going to Austin.

2025 Texas Coaching/Support Staff Thread
I don't think it is intelligence or lack thereof, it is the emotional instability that surprises me. Do people overreact to everything in your normal life too?

2025 Texas Coaching/Support Staff Thread
Is Akina out because he is old and it was always going to be just a year, or because Sark has performance standards and is evaluating his staff and making hard decisions?

Holy shit you dipshits: 9-3 Texas is probably in the playoffs
If Tech had played Florida, that would have been the 3rd most difficult team on their schedule per FPI.

Europa Universalis 5
I'm enjoying it so far. Looks like there are going to be a lot of tweaks in the near term for balance reasons.

Transfer Cycle 2025-2026 - Shit In One Hand, Hope In the Other, Tell Us Which One Fills Up Faster
In terms of OL, the first question is do the coaches think Cruz and Kibble will be ready to contribute next year. The second question is, since these coaches were dumb enough to think Stroh was a D1 player, is there any chance they are going to get any of this right.

Oklahoma is the team we need to be put ahead of, not Alabama.

Our 7 pt loss at Ohio St is more of a reason to include us in the playoffs than our OT wins against Kentucky and Miss St. Wins and losses are binary. Teams don't play the same schedule. We've got to get past this comparing records bullshit.

We also beat the #3 team by multiple scores just yesterday.

Holy shit you dipshits: 9-3 Texas is probably in the playoffs
This garbage OU team is going to be in the playoffs and people are still saying Texas doesn't deserve to get in.

I know it has been a disappointing season, but I do think this team is playing much better recently. I would really like to see what we could do with a couple weeks to prep for a playoff game. Offense has figured out what they are good at and more importantly, not good at, so let Sark lean in. We have fatal flaws at OL and RB that can only be fixed by new players, but this lineup can still gel more. On defense get Hill and Taaffe healthy, let any CB not named Guilbeau get a couple weeks of starter reps opposite Manny. I think our ceiling is higher than all of these scrub teams being discussed. Tech would have gone 8-4 with our schedule.

I agree, and this is my hope. We have examples, another besides 2023 FSU is 2014 when TCU was ranked #3 in the second to last rankings, then got passed by Ohio State and Florida State after the conference championship games.

2023 Florida State shows that even handling your business isn't enough. Disclaimer: I agree they should have been left out. A great example of the committee looking beyond loss column bias.

Hey PK -- What would you say you do here?
Maybe we are saving the concept of inside leverage for A&M.

I think they were rotating multiple guys. On TV I only saw Guilbeau once and it was on special teams.

If we beat A&M we should pass by Vandy, Miami, and Utah.

The Athletic Scoops Sark interested in NFL Jobs
Assuming this is true, how did having a pro style offseason approach lead to the issues we are seeing with the team?

How Arch turned it around in the 4th Qtr: A film studr for Surly assholes. Come on in!
I agree Sark has been stubborn and has misevaluated the capabilities of his players and is running what he wants, not what he has. Having said that, I think there is some truth to the idea that a simpler spread offense will get shut down when playing more athletic defenses. We see it all the time that offense doesn't scale linearly when playing the top defenses. The idea that you need TEs that can be multiple, NFL route concepts, and multiple run schemes to beat the high level teams is not crazy. It is possible Sark thought he could get to the playoffs regardless and therefore could use the season to get the offense proficient at everything.

I don't care about LSU/Ole Miss, but absolutely would like to see Ohio State and A&M lose.

Arch Manning: Scores every way possible
There is a difference between a play being covered or the receiver falling down and then scrambling to make the best of it, versus not giving the play a chance to develop and just running. Anybody should be fine with the first, and generally not okay with the second. If Arch is doing the second, that is on Sark to adjust the offense to something he can execute.
