  1. All we have to do is add Collins, Lindberg, Thompson, Johnston, J Wilson, and McClellan and we would have a higher average.
  2. My memory of the Strong years is hazy, but how good was Beck until last year? In other words, was it obvious in year 2 that Beck was going to turn out as good as he did? Was he ahead of where Brewer is now?
  3. He's just saying that because he didn't want to be at that press conference.
  4. If we get Broughton, we will have more 4/5* recruits than aggy.
  5. I'm hoping there was a desire to have staff continuity in order to build culture, and after year 3 with a player-led culture and another year of proven success in doing things "our" way, Herman won't fear replacing someone even if he can't find them a promotion.
  6. You think Herman cares that 247 or Rivals said Mehringer was a top 5 recruiter?
  7. Texas should push to change the rules so it is legal to pay players and then do it better than everyone else.
  8. The family and their attorney feel good about their prospects to play immediately.
  9. Herman mentioned "aggressive rehab" from now until he is re-evaluated in January. Is that something that has a realistic shot at making a difference?
  10. Trying to get someone to shit on George or Evans or both so they can screenshot it and blast it on twitter.
  11. Everything is true, except it isn't Bru, it is Leal.
  12. Once a player signs with the new school they are transferring to, can the old school still contact them? In other words, if you can get to that point without the current school knowing, at that point they can't try to stop you.
  13. Here is a comparison to the last CFP Rankings (prior to bowl season) 1. Alabama even 2. Clemson even 3. Georgia +2 4. Oklahoma even 5. Ohio State +1 6. Texas +9 7. Florida +3 8. Michigan -1 9. LSU +2 10. Texas A&M +9 11. Notre Dame -8 12. Oregon unranked 13. Penn State -1 14. Washington -5 15. UCF -7 16. Utah +1 17. Iowa unranked 18. Wisconsin unranked 19. Nebraska unranked 20. Washington State -12 Teams that fell out of the top 25 Kentucky, West Virginia, Miss St, Syracuse, Fresno St, Boise St
  14. I'm all for extra analyst positions, as long as they add value. You can't just hire 10 ex-coaches and say everyone provide your recommendations...there has to be structure and trust so it doesn't turn into a clusterfuck. The bigger improvement I am looking for this offseason is hopefully the coaches have a better understanding about the players capabilities and the strengths/weaknesses of the conference opponents. There is now a big enough sample size for the scheme and strategy mistakes to be identified and corrected.
  15. I plan on having my kids sit out all the way from birth until the NFL. Save the wear and tear.
  16. I know he is full of shit, but playing along, how would he have that information? The only people at all 3 in home visits was the Sanders family. So, they timed the three visits and then told someone because....?
  17. Grandy is listed on the table but he won't count towards 2019.
  18. The running back room is about to thin drastically. The one that "hurts" is Toneil Carter, who will transfer. Look for Texas to trade one transfer for a grad transfer who is yet to be determined. Also, a grad transfer who is determined. What?
  19. Imagine a world in which it was legal to compensate players up to any amount, with the only rule being the money had to come from the Athletic department only, in other words they couldn't dip into "education" money. 85 scholarship players x $100,000 per year is $8.5 million. How many schools could fit that into their AD budget?
  20. Reminds me of the bowl game last year where Missouri was talking trash, and even during the game after their offense punted a couple times the sideline reporter said on their bench they were saying "come on guys, we are faster than these guys" , etc. But they weren't. They obviously had bought into the idea that they were SEC players and so they were automatically bigger and stronger. I'm sure Georgia has more physical talent than that Missouri team, but it is quite possible they take us lightly and assume they are superior across the board.
