  1. The guy who died was bludgeoned with a fire extinguisher, so that was likely inside.
  2. I would say that another significant difference between Trumpsters storming the Capitol and looters/rioters related to the BLM protests is that the latter didn't fucking video themselves doing federal crimes and then posted such evidence on social media. If there is ever a need to demonstrate consequences, it's when there is a broadly held notion that there would not be any. These dumbfucks are genuinely surprised that they don't have the right to violently attack Congress. That delusion needs to be corrected as soon as fucking possible.
  3. Sure Ricky, whatever you say. (Just kidding. Looks like original tweet was deleted, so it may be a false id.)
  4. When attempting to appear well-informed, it would help if you spelled it "capital." The Capitol is what they violently took over with the intent of interrupting the democratic process. A capital offense is one that includes a potential death penalty. While there may be overlap between the two, they are spelled differently.
  5. The rioter was going to hand the cops devices that cops use to detain rioters? Two things funny about that (if it were true): 1. That is an outstanding amount of white privilege to assume the cops wouldn’t immediately detain you with it as you storm the Capitol. 2. He was right.
  6. The funniest thing about white privilege is when it gets removed. These idiots who think they're being oppressed are about to understand what it's like being on the outside looking in. You know these fuckers cheered Trump when he threw up travel bans from "shit hole" countries. Well, assholes, you're being singled out because of your actions, not your religion, nationality or race. How does it feel to be stranded at the airport? At least they can rent a car.
  7. They absolutely reflect your fellow citizens.
  8. Info on Doug Jensen. Last one needs updating.
  9. Bullshit. This is a reflection of our society. Who we elect is a reflection of our society. "Of the people, by the people, for the people" isn't just some philosophical target, it's the functioning reality of a democracy. There is no us (public) and them (politicians), there is just us. Are some politicians shitty? Sure. But that delegation of culpability just builds the mindset that the only reasonable solution is for the oppressed public to overthrow the corrupt government. As the public, we need to take responsibility for this fucking mess. We need to put in the work - the boring, non-glamorous, sustained work - to right our country.
  10. FBI statement - 13 charged so far
  11. A lot of the 2021 agenda will just be the 2020 bills that the House passed, but died in the Senate. Decriminalizing marijuana, lowering prescription drug prices, closing gun show loopholes... They've been written, debated in the House, and passed the House.
  12. Yep. I think a lot of the "steal the election" rhetoric that the GOP has been supporting is being used to set the stage against this bill.
  13. I don't think the government will pursue charges against most of them. They will focus on the few folks who are well documented doing obvious crimes. Of the asshats who get rounded up, most will get probation and some prohibition on future actions. There will be a few obviously violent assholes (like the guy chasing the cop up the stairs) who will get some jail time out of it. But those aren't the real leaders. In the end, most of the middle/upper class mainstream Trumpsters will just come out if it with an interesting story. I would have preferred to see them all zip tied to a fence, then taken to jail, and then figure out how they are getting bailed out.
  14. Sure. But 98% of them think that not only are they right, but that they would be lionized by their fellow real Americans. One of the things that always amazed me about the OKC bombing was that the terrorists thought it would be the spark for a new American Revolution. They thought they would strike this blow against the corrupt, oppressive American dictatorship, and that Americans across the country would be inspired to overthrow the government. It's the same mindset.
  15. Not true. Once public opinion made it obvious that storming the Capitol was a bad idea, they started classifying the white hoods as antifa as well.
  16. A phrase I have started using when engaging Trumpsters: "You read, believe, and repeat stupid things." And, yeah, we need to start failing people in school more. We need to post grades publicly. We need to make intelligence something to be respected, and stupidity something to be mocked. Maybe it's mean, but I'm tired of stupid motherfuckers thinking they understand law, government, medicine, virology, climate change, evolution, history, etc. better than people who actually study it and have functioning brain cells. Intelligence and knowledge have been deem irrelevant, while wealth and physical beauty has been exalted. Yeah, I'm a fucking elitist because actually understanding shit is important in this world.
  17. Just a reminder of how Chicago cops react when black women pull into a strip mall parking lot. You know, people often drive their vehicles to loot a mall in the middle of the afternoon. June 3, 2020
  18. So, the claims about Antifa came from a Washington Times article that claimed the facial recognition software company XRVision had identified Antifa members in the riot. This is what Gaetz and other Republican politicians were citing. XRVision has said the story is completely false and is demanding Washington Times retract the story. They did, but you can't unring the bell. All of the right wing media that cited them wont and all of the right wing dingbats will continue to accept it as canon. Buzzfeed
  19. My intent was just to id the people who went into the building.
  20. I can’t get my head around that. Where the woman got shot, they used desks to barricade old doors that had windows. What the fuck. 19 years after 911 and that’s the plan?
  21. This is like idiot bingo.
  22. It's a shame. The guy had "upper management" written all over him. Granted, it was a misspelled tattoo, but still.
  23. As a Canadian, if he really wanted to reenact his 19th century heritage, he should have burned down the White House.
  24. This is Ricky Tollikko, a white supremacist from Alberta Canada. http://anti-racistcanada.blogspot.com/2020/10/ricky-tollikko-and-woke-onez-rebellion.html
