  1. I set an eject button for BTC on Jan 1 2025. I’m now debating canceling my own strategy. No one ever went broke cashing in a gain but how boring is that.
  2. I’m speaking/writing this into existence. Quinn will be on the money with deep throws versus aggies. It’s just straight statistics and regression to the mean. He has thrown 50% too long and somehow, 50% too short. So statistics will statistic and he will hit a few long bombs in college station. Math ain’t ever wrong
  3. You must be new here. We could have eleven consecutive all-American WRs but if Sark offers someone we don’t like, he gone.
  4. I was also there in 2004 and while I’ve been to a dozen TX-OU games and probably five UT-Aggie games at college station, the only time I’ve been nervous for personal safety was 2004 Arkansas. Went to pee and waited in line and some dudes wouldn’t let me use the bathroom. I was close to pissing myself so was thankful a few Arkansas fans told the pricks stopping me to let me piss….but entire time I’m at urinal, I’m looking around waiting to be pushed. Usually while at urinals, I just look around to compare johnsons like everyone else, right? Right? Right? we also had police escort back to tailgate area and they told us to watch out for flying empty bottles of jack.
  5. Why do hats the players got and some official posts say “SEC Tournament Champion”? Doesn’t winning this tourney make them the champions, period?
  6. Double down. Favorite quick watch in a while.
  7. Agreed but setter not helping them. Consistently poor passes to them it felt like. And feeding Wenaas and Devin was the strategic error that cost us game. Setters played poorly.
  8. Tablitas are delish and regularly purchased. We don’t have grill at this house, just a live fire Santa Maria contraption and a big blackstone. Griddle is fantastic for peppers and onions but I also cook fajitas and costillas and chorizo on there too for one stop shopping. For live fire stuff, save that for chickens, steaks and shrimps plus veggies in cast irons and lard French fries. Ps French fries made in lard will cost you 5 lbs of your life
  9. Didn’t get into details since I felt I bored you enough with the long question but since you asked haha….i had to leave today from Houston to our country house near La Grange because a plumber is coming early tmrw morning. We regularly buy Michoacana fajitas and chorizo and spare ribs on a Friday and we make them on saturday but this time, because I came up one day earlier than normal, it made me start thinking about this marinade question. and the closest grocery store is 25 minutes from house so we do everything possible to not forget or screw up food stuff because it’s a full hour back and forth for one fucking ingredient. And y’all gave me courage so I bought 12 lbs of meat from them and feel good about it. I’ve never been nervous of sickness, just that meat becomes too soft and texture isn’t ideal.
  10. Maybe this becomes a place you can ask questions on food. Or maybe you just answer this question that I actually would like to know. i am hosting a Saturday lunch before the game. Marinated fajitas cooked on the griddle are what has been requested but due to certain events, I have to buy the marinated fajitas from a meat market on Thursday (tomorrow). However, I just read various articles that you shouldn’t marinade for more than 24 hours before cooking for several reasons that all seem logical. Hence my question: Mexican meat market marinated fajitas were marinated but now out of the liquid so can I buy them 48 hours before cooking without affecting the taste or texture? Or even though out of liquid, that length of time would negatively affect the meal? At the root is the definition of marinate I guess.
  11. Have not watched any UNC games. I’m just guessing here so please verify: UNC is playing a lot of players (with great parents) in September that will soon be dentists and stockbrokers and Mack will start playing the better, younger players (who also have great parents) in mid-October due to said better players throwing up in locker room before games?
  12. I used a Treager at like 225 degrees so nothing special. Doesn’t even need to be smoked and you can do this in oven but won’t get a that sweet sweet smoke element. as for 6-7 slices for a family, it’s just me, a wife, and two girls so I’m the only one who eats what one would say is an American portion. They eat like normal Europeans or something.
  13. cured it for seven days and then smoked it for a few hours to he to 152 degrees. Then put it in fridge to firm it up so that you can cut it easier. we vacuum seal in strips of 6-7 so that we only have to defrost a family serving at a time. We also dice some up into cubes to put into meals like rice bowls. Soooo good. And yes, we defrost them and then cook em on cast iron or bake them. as for why cook it the first time? Because I watched it on YouTube and it looked delicious. Don’t know the science.
  14. 10 lbs of Costco pork belly turned into vic Mackey approved cut bacon. Thicc
  15. I bought a 200 foot zip line four years ago for our ranchito and it’s been great. Rogue Series from zip line gear. It was $600 without the tensioning kit that I realized I needed after the purchase. I watched a shit ton of YouTubes for the zip line math. Tested it out with a bucket full of rocks and first one too slow, second one too hot and crashed into the tree. Also bought extra bungee cord brake so kids are slowed down twice before the actual no-shit brake gets hit.
  16. both look fairly equally talented but experience reduces risk/variance (in theory, don’t look at Charlie’s decisions in year 1 vs year 3 or theory busted) so this could be blessing in long run so Arch becomes more consistent. I can’t judge what Arch can do against a good defense yet but can judge Quinn. So I hope Arch gets his experience while Quinn heals and then Quinn comes back and rips shit up again.
  17. You don’t fuck with Graham Gillespie. Also, 46 is akana (I had to look it up).
  18. I’m sorta in same boat with 7.5 acres and five bee hives. Wonder what all these chemicals do to bees? My yard is actually great as I have-and only want - two acres cleared but I’m having hard time keeping my gravel driveway a driveway. Turns into grass very quickly and I’ve burned it off with flamethrower but that takes wayyyy too long.
  19. Went to Yellowstone and Glacier National Park in July. Third time in Yellowstone but first for GNP. While my family and I were on a six mile hike in Yellowstone, ran into a grizzly about forty yards out. He looked at me and said what’s up and kept going. We all shit our pants basically. i also saw one wolf but it was so far away that I didn’t know what it was even with binoculars. But it was at one of those Lamar Valley pull-outs and other folks were verifying it was a wolf and I was eavesdropping. So did I see a wolf? Yes. Did it look like a black lab and so far out for ,e it was fuzzy, yes, so not as exciting as if I were to have seen him clearly. ps I stayed in gardiner at a place called Dreamcatcher and we loved it because kids had lots of other kids to play with all the time so recommend fo families.
  20. Did a Memphis, Nashville, Kansas City bbq road trip one year. Ate at Gus in Memphis and it exceeded expectations.
  21. Great show. Great names. And indira was smoke show.
  22. I’m thankful y’all are better at creating NIL initiatives than choosing restaurants near Airline.
