  1. In case anyone curious on SEC+ given the above (i hadn’t used it before) https://www.secsports.com/news/2022/05/about-sec-networksec-network-1 Q: What is the difference between SEC Network and SEC Network+? A: SEC Network is a live 24-hour television network. SEC Network+ is a complementary digital platform providing hundreds of additional digital only events to fans through the ESPN App on connected devices. SEC Network+ is not a television channel. Q: How many SEC games will be on ESPN+
  2. Sounds like someone hasn’t met a bunch of the fat dorks from CR in person
  3. I am surprised when stud athletes like you aren’t representing us at the games. It’s a waste for you to be relegated to typing critiques of olympians.
  4. I worked at tech place in Austin for a while and this really smart high-up guy invited me to lunch. Halfway through lunch, he starts on a rant about how Isis planted Obama in White House and he is a proven Muslim spy and he has evidence etc etc. It was certifiable bat shit crazy rant and I did not know how to handle convo other than check please. That is when I learned how smart someone is and how normal they act in traditional work situations does not disqualify them from believing utter nonsense in their private life.
  5. Pinkertons will save you a total of 20 minutes in driving and 15 minutes of lines but cost you 5% in flavor. It’s still really good but those are trade offs you need to weigh.
  6. So for our road trip this year (Houston to glacier np), we took y’all’s advice and stayed in whitefish. Great town with good restaurants. We liked it more on weekdays than weekends as weekends had more bachelor/bachelorette party vibe and with 8 year old in tow, not our scene anymore. We loved Backslope Brewery in Columbia Falls also as probably best bar food I’ve had in a while. Going to Sun Road was next level. We did Red Bus Tour to top and so worth it because let me relax as a non-driver. Feel like I would have been too focused on drive and guided tour taught a lot. We hit up Yellowstone for third time since it’s on the way to northern Montana and while Glacier is definitely more visually stunning than Yellowstone, we felt that Yellowstone just holds something special for families that we didn’t get with Glacier for some reason. I would say Glacier better for twenty year olds plus.
  7. One thing I’ll miss about LHN is having ability to watch majority of volleyball games. Sorry if already covered but what will our ability to watch these games be now? Doubt SEC network will cover Horns as much as LHN but hopeful something else replaces???
  8. ZGolfs post should be required reading for all UT freshmen. “All they have on us is hardware and that doesn’t even mean anything”
  9. Planted potatoes in a huge container and the green plants thrived and being a first time potato farmer, I was very optimistic. The plants finally yellowed and died so I harvested and here is my bounty after four months. How much lard does it take to make 9 french fries?
  10. Marinated fajitas from michoacana and then adding a nice amount of butter close to 6-7 minutes of cooking is both convenient and delicious.
  11. My definition of good movie isn’t whether it will be studied at UCLA movie critique grad school class….this simpleton just asks whether I’m glad I watched or wish I had chosen something else. Glad I watched and glad Bix was in it. Not fantastic but good enough.
  12. Leon’s, Magnolia, and Husk were all quality dining experiences for us. And agreed on NOLA vibe but if I had one weekend to choose and the two parameters were fun and food, I would go to NOLA. If your criteria include sophisticated ambiance and cleanliness and I don’t want to smell puke, Charleston would be a better choice. With that said, we left Charleston wishing we had more time there than the few days we were there.
  13. What is average 30-year rate for standard mortgages (good credit scores, 20% down)?
  14. Nice. I planted potatoes this year for first time an led have not dove in to check them. How did you know time to harvest?
  15. Anyone been to Squable in the Heights? Worth it?
  16. Never done cantaloupe so can’t comment and I don’t love tomatoes so strawberries will be my test. Just planted some for the first time about a month ago so let’s hope I get some in the first year. Stay on the edge of your seat for a few more months until I can opine! I’ve generally been more of an herb guy because of your #3 and #4. Mint thyme basil cilantro with a slew of peppers has been my easy thing for a few years.
  17. Curious what items make it in #1 fire you? I haven't found huge difference in taste for veggies versus store bought, just fruits.
  18. He was also my stats professor in late 90s and I remember he said that he most definitely did not prove OJ was innocent but that the sample that was proclaimed as a million to one was more like 75,000 to one. I remember he said how masterful a job OJ’s lawyers did because they kept proving how wrongly inflated the odds were and how clearly wrong the defense was….all so that no one would notice how ridiculous 75,000 to one (still way guilty).
  19. Many days over the past seven years, I’ve eaten lunch somewhere near 10 and between Heights Blvd and the Beltway (I don’t cross as Niko Niko is my limit). I also love Vietnamese. how did i not know about Roostar? Will need to check out next week.
  20. @Gil Bang doesn’t know shit about fuck in regards to VPN and yet likely knows more than me….so this is a helpful chat he bumped. i want to watch Astros games in Houston. Do these things work on iPhones? Do VPN’s cause glitches or other downsides to the phone?
  21. Sounds great and this is our plan starting in a couple of years. If renting, how did you find your house to rent for that long stretch?
  22. I started the ag exemption process last year as a first time beekeeper. Here was my first year journey: April 1, 2023: hired someone to set up three hives at my ranchito. may 2023: two hives looked to be thriving so put honey supers (small boxes for bees to make honey and not to make more bees) on top of the regular boxes. July 2023: 1 hive produced 30 lbs of honey so I harvested all of it. 1 hive had some honey but not enough for me to want to take. 1 hive just looked weak so figured it was dying. Dec 2023: hive that was strongest got wax moths so died and I had to torch it all. Weak hive now looks ok. Middle hive still going ok. April 2024: the two hives survived the winter and were so full of bees that I added honey supers on both. Also, three hives being installed this week by same guy who set up my first three. it was a lot of fun to learn a bunch and hope my hives live and thrive this year.
  23. I found Hudson house very average. But I also wasn't that impressed by BNC so my taste buds must suck
