  1. I read that four of the gun shot wounds went to Harris Southwest. I'm pretty sure that was by car. I seriously doubt an ambulance is taking them to Harris Southwest. And if I have a trauma, harris southwest is not where I would want to go, especially when harris downtown and jps is much closer
  2. Was there on Friday, just before they had to close. The Heimburger is better
  3. This is a huge hit wherever I take it https://www.pauladeen.com/recipe/not-yo-mamas-banana-pudding/
  4. It's been a year since I've been to Goldee’s. After recent trips to Brix and Dayne's, Goldee's tops them both on brisket and ribs. Sausage is equal. But I prefer the grits, Cole slaw, and bread you get at Goldee’s.
  5. Went to Goldee’s today. It's been, I guess about a year. Just a month or so before TX Monthly #1 status. All was great. I prefer the sausage to be more dense. Cole slaw and grits were in to go containers, so not in pic. Ribs and brisket, phenomenal as before. I arrived at 9:15. Line was probably 50 deep. I was sitting and eating by11:55.
  6. I love the City Market sauce, even bring a qt back home. The sauce is perfect for the ribs and sausage. I'm not a huge sauce guy, but the sauce does not go well with their brisket, in my personal non professional opinion of lover of cue.
  7. Luling City Market is in Houston. City Market BBQ is in Luling. amirite? 🤷‍♂️
  8. Back in the day, patients in the hosp can test positive for weeks after being admitted. At the 3 wk mark, nurses weren't even gowning up or wearing an N95 to take care of those patients. Even leave the door open. Healthcare workers are told to take five days off and then return work. No re-test necessary
  9. On Bryant Irvin, at Hawaiian Bros. A tree in the median fell over. Blocked two of the northbound lanes. And btw, Angelo's BBQ hasn't got any better. Still avg at best. Lean and fatty brisket were moist, but odd smoky flavor and void of any rub. Big miss.
  10. SOOOOOOOO...... you're not running the Tokyo Marathon?
  11. I dont EVER want baked beans
  12. We used Inspect360. A friend referred them. It's hard to tell how thorough they really are, but he was on-site forever and sounded very thorough. House is still standing.
  13. Somehow Truth and Terry Blacks seems to do well with multiple locations and keeping up with quality. But this is only based on reading posts from the msg boards and stuff
  14. I know a couple of doctors that moved into West Byers within the last three years, they like the hood. I was two blocks from Roy Pope, lived in West Byers for 14 years off El Campo. I moved out in 2020. Only moved bcuz my 2/1 bungalow was going to cost too much to renovate. Great neighborhood. Easy access to I-30. Easy to get to Central Market. Tokyo Cafe and Little Lilly Sushi are close.
  15. Dayne's is one of my favorite bbq spots. I was at Russell Feed today, as I rolled by Dayne's, the line was only two deep. I turned in quickly, because I have yet to try their burger. It is a very good burger, but man, it doesn't beat the Heimburger. I love that bacon burn end jam on the Heimburger
  16. Damn! Well, I'm not as pissed as I was last night when I tried to get on 20, about 6:15p. Two trucks with lights were moving in to barricade the on ramp.

  18. No way I could live off Boat Club, but nice pool. I had to drive to Lake Country Christian Academy last week, it's those times I understand road rage. I google mapped Scooters. That is quite the angle for that crash. Nice shop building. Mine is 600 sq ft, but that one looks bigger.
  19. Lots of good q around here, I have not been to Hurtado FW yet. 1. Goldee's 2. Dayne's 3. Panther City 4. Brix 5. Smoke-a-holics I don't know if Angelo's has changed anything, but I had some friends recently rave about Angelo's. These are people they stopped going five years ago.
  20. White House still expects new COVID boosters will offer better protection, but two new studies cast doubt - CBS News no significant difference in neutralization of any SARS-CoV-2 variant tested between individuals who received a fourth monovalent vaccine and those who received a fourth dose of a bivalent vaccine
  21. Select? Or do you also have one of those FWYSA U14 or older teams? Besides Harold Patterson, we had to play in Red Oak.
  22. Headed to Santa Fe next week. This is our fifth trip to Santa Fe. Never been this time of year, previous four times were in the summer. Anything new that is not to miss, activity or food wise? Geronimo's and Sazon are booked. Maybe Market Steer, Radish & Rye, italian recommendation.... of course pasqual, el chile toreado, we always hit up La Choza/The Shed and Tia Sophia's.

    Port Aransas

you might call and ask what time they put the list out. I can't remember if it was 3, 3:30, or 4. I just remember when I showed five minutes before they put the list out, there were already four people waiting. That was summer, but I guess you never know.
  24. Hurtado Fort Worth (former Derek Allen spot) is having a soft opening today at 11am, but I'm going to try and hit up Daynes on Friday. But damn, that line was long last friday.
