  1. JD's Hamburgers is great. Nice beer selection. Regular fries, sweet potato fries, onion rings were all good too. Just get an extra pattie.
  2. JD'S was packed at lunch today, OPEN sign was lit up. Didnt eat, was headed to Russell Feed. Has anyone been to Gusto's at Hotel Dryce? Looks great, but they're not open for lunch.
  3. See if you can find a Doctor of Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine. Made a huge difference for my wife - Dr Yein Lee in Fort Worth
  4. Right?! 😉 I was adding up the costs of my 50x30 garage. 😁
  5. I got nothing, we switched all ours to kwikset smartkey.
  6. No phones!? How are the olds going to read the menu?
  7. Stain is Old Masters We went from a single door to a double.
  8. We bought our double, fiberglass doors from www.doors4home.com. Our GC did a little shim hear and there, used Old World stain. they look great. check with resdoor (local), they might be cheaper.
  9. I have done the Bonnells curbside a few times, but still havent managed to get the shrimp and grits. It looks damn good.

Went running on Thursday morning. At approx 7am, I turned down beach st towards the beach. Finally got to see one of thise coyotes I heard about. It was just chill trotting down the street. The line just for sign up at La Playa is unreal. But them cooking my fish made it worth it.
  11. Well.... in that case, yall need to get to smokeaholics in fort worth. My favorite potato salad
  12. any updates on this? My downstairs ac is cooling down to 70 w/o issue with these 105 degree temps. My upstairs ac was having issues cooling down below 73 at 105 degrees outside. I turned on my attic fan and insulated attic door, no issues cooling down to 72 (havent tried to go cooler). Using the infrared temp gun, prior to fan, I believe the air coming out of the duct was 63 or 64 degrees. Now its at 58-60.
  13. A while back Allan announced some burger place. I think in the old funkytown donut building. Shit ton of cue within a three mile radius.

Is it the Gaff that uses those old ass toaster ovens? It's been years since I've gotten pizza from there. Headed down soon. Bay fishing with Tejas Charter. I'm jonesing. My mind is already in vacay mode.
  15. I went to Bearded Lady a couple of weeks ago. I thought it was good. Still prefer Rodeo Goat and Wild Acre Camp Bowie
  16. Dayne's might have found a sweet spot with this location. I detoured to camp bowie when headed to Leonard's, line has been consistently long. I've been to the Lola's location maybe five times, I dont remember the line being this long.
  17. Great q and the sloppy juan is awesome. But I dont think he's making his own tortillas and wherever he's getting them from, they are very avg.
  18. The oreo smash and deep chocolate from Henry's homemade ice cream. I get it at the great outdoors in fort worth.
  19. As a runner that had to deal with PF. I had success with Protalus and Currex
  20. Finally made it over to Zavala's. Great stuff. The brisket and the sloppy juan were the stars. Ribs were phenomenal too, well seasoned. Sausage was a tad dry. Not a fan of their cheesy sauce on the hominy but the potato salad was awesome.
  21. It appears Fred's Camp Bowie West is open. Limited hours and menu while they figure things out.

La Playa is the spot we always hit up. We get there before 5 and write our name on the clipboard. also our go to for cook-your-catch. Cancun Grill is our go to for breakfast tacos and pancakes. I like Irie's for lunch. Not sure if service has sped up with the new location, but we always order ahead.
  23. Is Smokey Joe's in Dallas the most unknown Top 50 joint in DFW? Very good brisket, needs a heavier coating of rub. Ribs were slightly undercooked and void of any seasoning. Jalapeno Cheddar sausage is a meat coarse grind, some of the best I've had, reminds me of Pecan Lodge sausage. Potato salad is perfect, similar to Smokeaholics in Fort Worth. This was $25
  24. I like Allan with A-1 Pest Control. He uses dog safe products. He doesn't push a quarterly service, just says, call him when you need something. Usually about once or twice a year. But I have friends that recommend Entex and Wentworth
  25. I dont get it. We have so many options to choose from. This was posted...
