  1. Any room in the clan for me to join up? HeyZeusDeCrisco #8UJVYJP8
  2. ESPN has coaches up with us at 14. Sorry about that.
  3. Looks like AP Coaches have us at 14 behind OU at 11.
  4. They are actually getting ready to close off the entire San Juan National Forest because of the fires and further fire danger. https://www.outtherecolorado.com/breaking-san-juan-national-forest-to-close-to-public/
  5. Definitely do the loop. It will kick your ass still, be epic, and provide some amazing scenery.
  6. Segments 25-29 are closed now due to fire.
  7. All or Nothing: All Blacks dropped. If you enjoy rugby, it is good stuff.
  8. @Bone3421 something else to be aware of is that many of the counties around the state have firebans in place if you planned on having campfires. Definitely check the route and subsequent restrictions before you head out. Colorado is rather dry right now, so it is a bit of a tinderbox.
  9. It gets rather chilly above 10'000 feet. I definitely would not skip out on a bag.
  10. Collegiate Peak Loop http://www.cleverhiker.com/blog/collegiate-peaks-loop-guide https://pmags.com/collegiate-loop-2017-how-the-walk-went http://www.coloradotrail.org/collegiate-west.html Won't be able to do the entire thing in a week, but you can do half of it. Plus you might run into @Bone3421 on the trail.
  11. Teams can go over slot, but they have to take from another pick do to so. Effectively they have a set signing amount based on all of their pick's slots. If you can get a pick to sign under slot, you can then give that amount to another pick.
  12. I finally made it back out on the trail this weekend. I camped out at the Lake of the Clouds (actually three small lakes) near Westcliffe, CO. The lakes were at 11,500ft. The hike up wasn't too bad, about 2,500ft of elevation gain over 4.5 miles. I had to contend with some snow when I finally go to the lakes, so I had to get my tent setup quickly. Thankfully, the snow blew over in an hour and didn't stick. My evening ended up being quite relaxing as I was the only person camping there. Unfortunately, there is currently a fireban in place, so no campfire, but I had some scotch to warm me up. Initial trail about 15 minutes from the trailhead Just after the first stream crossing Weather looked like it wanted to roll in all day Lake 1 and where I camped Just a little bit of snow Lake 2 Lake 3 Lake of the Clouds lived up to the name!
  13. I can't think of a stretch where you will go 17 miles without water of some sort. But I haven't looked at the data book in the last couple of years, so my memory could be hazy. I believe the worst stretch (in terms of water) is segment 2 or 3, through the Hayman fire burn. I'm hoping to do the Colorado trail in the next few years, so I'll be watching for your updates!
  14. Most days you will not need nearly that much water thankfully as water tends to be fairly plentiful along the trail.
  15. Good article. Here it is in full if you don't want to click through:
  16. One game doesn’t make the season, but DAMN doesn’t winning feel better than losing!
  17. I think there is a good chance Nuke is back next year. But even in the KHL, he hasn't shown the promise everyone dreamed of when he was drafted.
  18. I'm in this boat. We were going full rebuild once Ohtani chose Anaheim.
  19. Yeah, that hit me in the feels when I read it this morning. Adrian and Elvis are part of what makes baseball great.
  20. I know, but a man can dream that someone will want a full season of Beltre instead of whatever scrub they are rolling out at third.
  21. I think they had a great group of young minds with Daniels, Preller ,and Levine with a figurehead elder statesman in Ryan that worked great back then. When all of those pieces started to move away, the chemistry and energy just is no longer there.
  22. Unless they go full Dyson from last year, they really only have up to go. The projected strengths of Diekman and Bush are definitely not living up to their projections so far. And I do realize that we are a couple of weeks into the season, and conceivably, they could get their acts together, but I have zero optimism about this team.
  23. I say deal Beltre as soon as we can for as good of a deal as possible. Float Choo to anyone who will listen and offer up to take on a chunk of his salary to try to get a halfway decent prospect in return. Move Gallo back to third. Bring up Guzman for first and Willie for DH, assuming service times are met for the extra year. Embrace the suck and go full rebuild.
