  2. (And the equalizer like 8 seconds later wasn’t.)
  3. That was very nice.
  4. Paid for mine with points... and am able to get those refunded. Texas-LSU ain't gonna happen.
  5. And the Astros 2020 “BUTWHATABOUT” tour continues!
  6. If you want a laugh at the Astros’ expense. https://www.sfgate.com/sports/amp/The-Astros-are-a-team-of-Karens-It-s-a-tragedy-15392509.php “I don’t know about the rest of you, but I was looking forward to this opportunity. I have no problem being an Ambassador of Shame. I gladly would have gone to Nats Park this past spring to boo the Astros to death, spike their watercooler with baby shark urine, and ask their wives in the stands how they can live with CHEATERZ. That would have made for a deeply pleasant afternoon. I was hardly alone in relishing the opportunity. And now it’s gone. The Astros are not only still postseason-eligible in MLB’s bastardized season format, but they won’t have to deal with angry fans ONCE in those sixty-plus times they take the field. Thanks to the ceaseless gifts of access journalism, they won’t even have to deal with ESPN announcers roasting their cheating asses during national telecasts. Instead, they will be blissfully isolated from the rest of us. Because MLB regionalized the coming season, they’ll only have to travel to a half-dozen different places as a visiting team: Anaheim, Arizona, Colorado, San Diego, Arlington, and Oakland. OHHHHHHHH, how an Oakland crowd at the Coliseum would have dragged their sorry asses. Correa would have walked off the diamond after the top of every inning covered in innards from a dozen chicken Caesar salad wraps. It would have been GLORIOUS. Would have been. Now the Astros get to blend back into the baseball landscape unblemished. They’re just another team navigating through Rob Manfred’s tattered masterplan, dealing with botched testing schedules (though Houston will probably cheat on those tests anyway) and quietly earning their keep as vagabonds in cleats. They’re probably even gonna win the World Series, because the worst people win everything now.”
  7. Super lucky. Man, that was a great match... for the first 75 minutes.
  8. I fucking hate being right sometimes.
  9. Holy shit, Nketiah. He was on for what, 30 seconds? Leicester is gonna fuckin' equalize...
  10. Nope. (Name checks out.) According to the agreement, any player who "opts out" is 100% out for the entire season, including postseason. Therefore, they can't change their mind once the decision is officially made.
  11. That was pretty.
  12. Good news: We're going to Wembley for the semi-finals! Bad news: We're going to lose to City (barring a miracle Newcastle comeback)
  13. Wow, y’all mad.
  14. “Fear porn”... pretty sure that’s ripe for the politics forum.
  15. So donating money and doing the same actions as (just about) every other franchise means he’s not putting profits above public safety? Hmmm... It just seems a bit myopic to make such a revenue-centric statement right when things look worse in Houston & the rest of the state than most other MLB markets. Read the room, Crane. Might not be the best time to promote putting butts in seats.
  16. Holy fuck. Crane is such a greedy d-bag.
  17. Bring on universal DH! /ducks
  18. There's no way there's a full season this year. No damn way. If this many outbreaks (that we know of) have happened in the summer, I can't imagine it gets any better in the fall.
  19. Red might have been a bit harsh, but it was a clear penalty. He wasn't the only one looking rusty today, but did look particularly shitty.
  20. So about David Luiz's contract...
  21. Trump can just do no wrong in some people’s (or network’s) eyes. The last thing a fish would notice is water.
  22. Well, shit. Might as well be the season for it, apparently. They ain’t playing baseball until July anyways (per pure speculation).
  23. Aaaaaand after all that... Tommy John surgery for Chris Sale. They must be banking on the MLB season being dramatically reduced (if not cancelled altogether) this year.
  24. No TJ surgery for Sale, per The Athletic.
  25. The 'Verdugo + Pillar = Mookie' take is going to be a bad one this year. (Oh, and Verdugo might already miss the start of the season.)
