  1. That movie clip is so good. I don’t know were that clip came from? Hook’em!!!
  2. Runners are a tough battle tested squad. I know they beat both us and aggy on Tuesdays, but never the less, they’ve already beat us at DF. Don’t take them lightly! Hook’em!!!
  3. My son and his girlfriend went to the brand new MOH Museum in Arlington a week or so ago, in order/prior to seining the Rangers host the Astros. All he said was it was 4 hours well spent - and he didn’t serve. Bought me a patch/magnet and gave it to me yesterday. Hook’em!!!
  4. We only had one Purple Heart recipient, as he was an LT whose Hummv drove over a landmine and shrapnel went through his groin area. Funny thing is that his Father had a “groin” injury during Vietnam. Hook’em!!!
  5. I served in both West Germany and South Korea during the late 80-90s, so yes, every time I saw US Armed Forces posted anywhere, I knew I was covered and could rest mentally. Does that even make sense? Hook’em!!!
  6. Denver Ag from a previous post is going to get perma banned according to Looch’s standards. No just facts on Texags! Hook’em!!!
  7. I served through Desert Storm in support of the 1st Armored Division, out of Germany at the time. I thank God that none of my close squad mates or even my company died in action or pre/post war. Thank you is all I can say to those that have passed before this day, especially during the act of war, regardless of the era. Their time on this earth was not wasted! Thank you for their service to our country. We are all in debt to their honor. Hook’em!!!
  8. aggy will find themselves as a 4th seed somewhere, maybe in the Arky or Austin bracket, but I can see it for TV generation. Hook’em!!!
  9. 1860 and 1873 lines (.45LC) were what we shot. But the .357 was a replica 1882 model fitted for .357 that was finicky on OAL or the rounds fed into it, trying to lower into .38 for my pre-teen son at the time for recoil purposes. Meaning trying to cycle it really fast for a novice. Cowboy action shooting is all about speed and accuracy on target at a not too great distance, but one must move the sights to other targets down range. Hook’em!!!
  10. I used to reload .38s for my Son for Cowboy action shooting. The .38/.357 platform is so manageable to the specs that you want is amazing. I’d have to adjust the overall length of the rounds of his .357 lever action or it would jam up if the rounds were too short (lighter pistol rounds). After a couple shooting sessions I understood that the .38s needed to be the length of a standard.357. I still have hundreds of “pistol only” .38 special for target/Cowboy shooting. Hook’em!!!
  11. Compare .357 to .45-70 retail ($$$) ammunition and you’ll have your answer. .45-70 isn’t for “plinking” at cans and shit down range. Hook’em!!!
  12. Everyone wants to play for a winner. A couple schools, if successful, will give you “legacy” props for life. Texas is at the point, thanks to NIL, that they can just recruit a kid, asking if they want to play on the nations biggest stage? Their playmaking abilities will translate to the next level. $$$ will also be guaranteed at the next level. Just MO. Hook’em!!!
  13. Yes - their “magical” Johnny year included TWO FCS games that season. You can’t make that shit up! Hook’em!!!
  14. I used to own the single shot Sharps 1874 “Texas Ranger” carbine. It came from Cimmaron Arms in Fredericksburg (Texas Jack’s) old western clothing/gun store. I should never traded in, because I rarely used it and didn’t reload .45-70 $$$ rounds. Hook’em!!!
  15. Ban Bammer coming soon for that aggy! Hook’em!!!
  16. After driving through B-Ham and spending the night there on our way to Gatlinburg, wife liked that NE area of Alabama enough that she said she could retire there. Hook’em!!!
  17. Not to be a smart ass, but yes is your answer. if I was to go watch the the SEC BB tournament for its entirement, it wouldn’t be a struggle for places to go/eat. Hookem!!!
  18. Which ever aggy posted about UT’s baseball history is about to receive the ban hammer. Can’t have that shit on Texags! Hook’em!!!
  19. Hoover isn’t bad. Kind of like Round Rock, PVille, and G Town to Austin. Easy in and out in the B-Ham airport too, but it’s been at least four years for me. When I “worked” the B-Ham area in my previous position, I’d stay in Hoover. Just saying, from a dozen years of going to that area. Hook’em!!!
  20. We statistically had the “lowest” schedule, because we played at aggy! We couldn’t play against ourselves. Hook’em!!!
  21. I’ve spent a dozen nights over the years in Hoover, which is just South of Birmingham. They have many hotels along the main road South of town, near the stadium. There’s multiple restaurants and a mall across the interstate from all of those chain hotels. Nice golf courses in the area too, if you have the time. Part of the Robert Trent Jones Trail for a Southern golf experience. I’m old but the RTJ Trail used to go from Louisiana to the panhandle of Florida. I’ve played a 1/3 to 1/2 of them. Hook’em!!!
  22. I really want one in .45-70 - just because I want one. Love lever actions. Hook’em!!!
  23. Army Brat - you’re going to have to buy another safe for storage. At least you famously unload some inventory each holiday season for the family. Do you need an extra family member? Hook’em!!!
  24. Plus Korea took over both China and Russia. Hook’em!!!
