  1. Grew up in SETX (Sour Lake) so that’s about as far in SETX as you can go. All my “coon ass” relatives grew up in China. That term was definitely NOT derogatory by any means, especially back in the 80s. My “coon ass” family were rice growers for the Douget’s (extended family) and crop dusters, serving SETX and SWLA. Hook’em!!!
  2. My PaPa carried so much stuff in his overalls that it probably took him 15 minutes to stuff the pockets each morning, while drinking coffee for sunrise. He always had some of that 2cent bubble gum that the flavor only lasted about two- three minutes. One morning he even pulled out a derringer and shot a snake headed to the hen house! I’d spend weeks each Summer with them, as I was a “city boy” and he’d put me to age appropriate work. He had a bumpy ass road leading off the feeder from IH-45. Once off that FM Road and on the entrance to “Bumpy,” he park and say drive us home! About a 3/4 mile stretch. At like 9-10, I could barely press the clutch all the way in order to shift the gears behind the steering wheel and with the bumps could never go from 2-3rd. He’d just say that 2nd was fine, as we’re in no hurry. Hook’em!!!
  3. Is aggy the only people keeping the overall makers in business? I know my PaPa wore them in the 70s working his land/small farm in Leona. I rarely see them “in the wild”today, unless they’re “painted up” by aggy. I guess because “Farmers Fight?” Hook’em!!!
  4. If I was a GM I think I’d let someone else deal with his first contract, then if he proved league worthy within 2-3 seasons, trade for him if and only if my team was in need of a QB1. Hook’em!!!
  5. Looch is keeping the aggy faithful believing his squaller. He somehow keeps the “hive mindset” to participate a believe! Hook’em!!!
  6. Yes - totally abandoned the running game vs ASU. Did the same, IMO, vs OSU the next game. Didn’t help that I really think Arch got concussed on his 1st down run. Hook’em!!!
  7. BOW - too soon! People are finely realizing Quinn’s annual injury. This year was the oblique and ankle. Hook’em!!!
  8. Let alone a Band name. GHP could go platinum! Especially in B/CS and West Houston. Not counting the diminishing SETX town of Beaumont. Hook’em!!!
  9. I served in the Army in the late ‘80s. The OD green “plastic” canteen had the quote, “Do not place over open flames” branded on it, or something like that, as I was always like no shit! Hook’em!!!
  10. I told my wife ~20 years ago prior to getting an oil change, which I usually do, to make sure that they checked the “blinker juice,” which she said OK I will? I’m sure the guys had a laugh and told her that it was topped off. Boerne, TX at its finest! Hook’em!!!
  11. MFng aggy. Please don’t change. Hook’em!!!
  12. Nice “recap” of the play sheet vs UTSA. I always thought he strained it rolling out to the left for a throw. If I remember right, he lofted one to a RB swinging to the right on the next play and then went to the sideline in pain. Scenarios of course could be different, but that’s what’s in my memory bank. Kind of like Arch getting concussed during the OSU game when he ran for a 1st and they “reviewed” it for a possible fumble. The first replay I knew they were looking at the wrong thing/foul, as Targeting should’ve been called. They can call that penalty upon review from the booth/networks officials. Arch staggered when getting up and never touched the field again. Just my opinion, but I’m good with that. Hook’em!!!
  13. I use “Nice Blinker” at roughly 75% of the intersections that I’m involved in. People are saving “blinker juice!” Hook’em!!!
  14. I guess it’s like showing your “Horns” correctly, like sometimes the MOC does it sideways or backwards on TV - WTF cares! Everyone knows what he’s doing and that’s all that matters. Hook’em!!!
  15. IMO - within 5-7 years there will be a CFB League of ~48 teams, in order to keep it divided into four quadrants/conferences. TV will dictate who gets to participate $$$ wise in this new league, as well as those that have money backing their program. So Texas Tech, SMU, and aggy might get involved for Texas schools besides the Flagship. It’ll be structured regionally as best as possible similar to the NFL and playoff systems almost a mirror image. This will be a football only league, separate from the NCAA, with their own leadership/rules. Spring sports and others will stay within their regular conferences and under the NCAA. Notre Dame will no longer worry about having to be independent. Hook’em!!!
  16. And don’t forget the “bling” from the Rose Bowl vs Bama. I know!!! - if Colt only played the whole game. Hook’em!!!
  17. I haven’t been in the new Moody Arena. Did we actually hang a banner for Shaka’s team winning the NIT? Just asking? Hook’em!!!
  18. Yes - and too much to scan over on a phone. Hook’em!!!
  19. IMO - our guys shouldn’t skip out on combine activities. All I’ve heard the last few days from the “media,” is at least these guys want to participate and judge themselves amongst peers. We had 14 this year and I hope they all show out! Hook’em!!!
  20. I really thought they would after seeing Sweat run last year? Neither Murphy or Sweat “hurt” themselves by participating in the combine. I saw Alfred Collins go through the drills today. Hook’em!!!
  21. Not saying “most stated” isn’t correct, but harsh and too soon. Damn I would’ve liked to see what an “injury free” Quinn could do over one season. Hook’em!!!
  22. Hook’em!!!
  23. Morons can be generational and aggy is “generational moron.” Hook’em!!!
  24. Thank you for reaching for the Thibodaux Colonels instead of my McNeese Cowboys. Hook’em!!!
  25. It’s because they’ve been indoctrinated as aggy. Only aggy holds aggy in such high regards. Hook’em!!!
