  1. Draft them regularly, let them sit a year or two before they play. Keep the roster stacked and the coaching staff right. Then they’ll get in, be successful, and then trade them for draft capital.
  2. Sf should not pay Purdy. They didn’t just get lucky. QBs coming out of college are more ready to play than they used to be. If you have a stacked roster around them and a good staff that can play to strengths, then you can make it easier to be successful. Lower the bar for how great the qb needs to play in order to be successful and then you can churn through qbs and keep that spot cheap. If you do hit on one, then trade him for draft picks and stay confident you’ll find another. If you pick shitty qb and the team sucks, then you’ll get a good draft pick and can try again. That’s better than paying everything to a guy that will suck when it matters but wins enough that you can’t get a good pick.
  3. Pfluger area? It’s all over the place
  4. Well I suppose if some team is willing to give up draft capital or something to get him in in a trade, then that would be great, but that sounds unlikely. It would be best to let Dak walk in order for some other team to strangle themselves by over paying him. If 50m-60m a year is going to Dak then that money can’t go to other roster spots. Dak has proven that he cannot win big playoff games by himself, that he needs a very strong cast around him. So it’s either: (a) pay Dak and skimp on the rest of the roster and then fail in the playoffs as soon as competition gets real, or (b) let Dak walk, pay for other roster spots that have market values that are more sensible and then find another guy to drive the bus, preferably in a rookie deal. Sort of the SF model. Also, they should just ask bill belicheck what he wants and do that. Hopefully the cowboys hire him for next season anyway.
  5. The sydir thing seems strange to me. If he’s 6’5” and 360lb and explosive then he sounds like tvondre 2.0. That also doesn’t sound like he’s in terrible shape assuming his squat and clean numbers are commiserate.
  6. He was a dumb take. There were good players at positions of need too. At least that was my recollection. The TE was dumb too. Ferguson and hoch whatever were giving plenty for the te position. Spoonmaker doesn’t offer a gd thing *hopefully I’m wrong about these two
  7. I like that they threw a bone to the reporters that cover the team by giving them 45mins to watch practice on day 1. Helps build the hype and we aren’t forced to go off *sources = hearing rumors from the guy that washes the socks.
  8. Not extending Dak and not extending the coaches has been good. Let them walk after this season. Bring in bill and get a cheap qb and have a stacked roster. Pay cd and Micah
  9. The ins/outs are just defined differently. People value power, it creates oligarchies.
  10. Yea, should just throw democratic process out the window and let the most powerful among you take authority and rule for everyone’s best interest.
  11. No, but the show is now about putting how dumb trumpers are and gayness front and center, with a backdrop of shitty superhero’s. I’m only 2 eps in but this season is feeling like one that shouldn’t have happened.
  12. This shit has not resumed well. Why is everyone suddenly gay? It’s graphic about it and ain’t nobody wants to see that.
  13. I really like mine, but it needed to open up a bit first.
  14. I agree. I think last year we were a defense led team bc we had so much experience on that side and we were bringing the offense along. This year will be the opposite, we have a lot of upperclassman experience on offense, it will lead the team and defense just needs to come along and not fuck it up.
  15. Glad we didn’t overpay for Williams. Not worried about DT. I think the DLine as a unit will be better this year vs last and we won’t notice the DT drop off people are worried about.
  16. I hope you are right and we dodged a bullet. I guess we’ll see. He probably won’t even see the field for ole miss. I definitely didn’t watch a lot of a&m last year so I’m relying on an impression I have that he was talented, maybe he sucks like you say.
  17. Yea, probably, but the edge rush will be better. Defense is such a complementary thing that even if the NG isn’t as good, the defense may be better and the NG won’t need to be as good. It all adjusts.
  18. Just adding stress to the system. I love it. Last year we were bemoaning the loss of coburn and ojomo. But sweat and Murphy stepped up. This year Collins and broughton may damn well step up too. Nice to have waves of experienced guys cresting like this.
  19. I’m no now, he sucked. So did Dominic McKinley, who we didn’t want bc no Davis hated, who is now being coached by Bo Davis.
  20. He played hard on the field and is motivated to be drafted right? He won whatever fuck award those idiots gave him last year right before flipping them the bird and entering the portal last year, and he was one of the better DTs in the SEC. Maybe he wasn’t a culture fit, no way for me to know, but he was talented and the narrative that we didn’t want him bc it was only about money seems inconsistent since we’re pursuing this guy who wasn’t as good and is only about money. Anyway doesn’t matter now, we’re hoping to get this guy bc we didn’t get that guy. I guess… Not as much effort as it took for you to pull out all your big words and put them into one post.
  21. It sucks this is all about money, but it is what it is and we are playing the game. Maybe we should have just gone for Nolan when he was for sale.
