  1. TW sells those for $27 not bad at all
  2. Found a gem spot today. Got my OGD114, got an old scout store pick, got a Johnny drum private stock, got a ew sib, got a of100 rye. So happy.
  3. Sunday fun day. Started with some kc rye 100, then of rye 100, then chatanooga cask strength , then still Austin cask strength. What’s next? Nobody knows.
  4. Anybody thing a Sam Houston 15 yr is worth $199??
  5. If you are in Austin I can tell where some ecbp is, but I can’t find OGD114 anywhere
  6. It’s been impossible to find for me in Austin. Talked to a liquor guy and he thought it was going to get better in April
  7. Makes it hard bc those bottles are still cheap in my mind. Can’t pay a lot for WSR…it isn’t very good.
  8. Seagrass for $65 would have been a good find. Got a woodford double oak for $42. This is one I know I like so happy to save $10 Got a rare breed for $38. Another one I already know I like and saved $15. Got a chatanooga cask strength for $33, saved $12. Been wanting to try it, and wasn’t a huge fan at first, but after it sat a while it got better. Happy to get for $33. Got an OF statesman for $42 saved $15, this is one I’ve been wanting to try. I would say it reminds me of OF100 but a little spicier. I would say OF100 is better for half the $ Got a redbreast 12 year for $52. Saved $20. This one is good on the nose and at the beginning, but then the middle and finish fall short. I would really like a cask strength version, but this one is a little light in the proof for me. Thought hard about getting an oban14 for $60 (save $30) and laga16 for $73(save $30) but ultimately didn’t bc I’m on a bourbon thing and didn’t want more sub100proof scotches that are light in the pants. But I still find myself thinking about them. These savings were vs the twins price, not the TW price.
  9. I can’t find it in Austin and didn’t see it when I was in Houston. . Found the bottle I have at a small place in Victoria. A friend in San Antonio says he sees it everywhere.
  10. Ran into these prices in the wild. People charging high dollar for value whiskys
  11. Found a nice Elijah Craig barrel proof store pick today
  12. It’s so good. Salted caramel and vanilla. Drinking it now as a matter of fact don’t mind if I do AAMOFDMIID
  13. @billfromlaketravis what’s your opinion on still Austin cask strength??
  14. I love it. To each their own I guess
  15. If you find an old gran dad 114, add that to your daily list alongside that OF100
  16. Are there stores in Austin that consistently have nice bottles like that nasa liquor recommendation? Particularly up both in the cedar park area.
  17. Final trip by nasa liquor as I left today. Got some high west campfires and an Elijah Craig barrel proof a122. Scores.
  18. Wb has been having the jack daniels single barrel rye for $45. That is definitely worth a try. I’m not much of a JD fan, but that bottle tastes nothing like their other products that I’ve had. Very good. Wish I could find the barrel proof version of that one.
  19. Lady at nasa said they releasing a private barrel they have of angel envy cask strength on Friday. May have to go back for that one
  20. Got a bottle of old scout and wilderness trail rye. Both are new to me
  21. Thanks! I’m at nasa today, so I’ll try to check out nasa liquor
  22. I’m in Houston for the week, is there any place I should get to in order to find something unusual? Or is it pretty much the same as Austin, and I’ll just drop into whatever the closest total/specs/wb store I can find?
