  1. Nope. Water jugs, called pitchers, have large ear shaped handles. Thus little pitchers have big ears. You have to be careful what you say around kids.
  2. If it were a snake, it woulda bit me. He's too old to cut the mustard. (from a song or a song was written about the countryism) Were you raised in a barn? (If you didn't close a door behind you.) A day late and a dollar short. Little pitchers have big ears.
  3. Been watching The Thick of It, a British comedy on Britbox, but noticed that it's on Amazon Prime, also. Produced and written (with others) by the guy HBO had develop and write VEEP. Great satire on government incompetence and self protection. I watch with subtitles to miss less. Watch it after the kids go to bed - the language is strongest I've heard on any TV show. Peter Capaldi (one of the many Dr. Whos) is great as Malcolm. What an asshole.
  4. Also on CNN OnDemand Channel 1202 on DirecTV

  6. Mine are 51 and 49, so I let Google and the CIA do it.
  7. Dolph Briscoe Center for American History. Donate to the Director's discretionary fund. He's a good guy, even if he went to UH.
  8. On a laptop, not a phone.
  9. I turned off notifications in Windows 10 for my new computer to rid myself of recurring notifications I didn't want. Now Surly gives me a bottom banner notification that www.surlyhorns.com wants to send you notifications, but first you need to go to Settings and turn on Notifications. I went to account settings and clicked on the do not send me notifications. I even signed out and back in. How do I turn off the reminder from Surly to turn on notifications? This is the type of garbage I was trying to stop.
  10. Just finished Mobile. Really different British cop/crime four part miniseries. Kind of confusing at first until you realize they are showing the same incidents through different people's perspective. Aussie made City Homicide is also really good also. I watch both with subtitles, as some accent variants can be difficult to follow.
  11. Was it a '52 tele, Jim? You should write a song about it. Maybe threaten to make her lose an arm.
  12. On north Padre, in Kleberg Co. Probably 40-50 mi. from PA.
  13. Man driving their truck identified: https://www.caller.com/story/news/crime/2019/11/05/suspects-missing-new-hampshire-couple-buried-at-texas-beach/4163793002/?fbclid=IwAR3OhFTUoadkkvrZlsU8nfKFntsSbiNOUAB2Eqt9tpAsp-hv8r27s3Y0Yn4
  14. Last night, Channel 24 Austin was reporting it as South Padre. I had earlier heard outside of CC. Big difference in locations. Edit: Looking at CC Caller Times, caller.com, who should know their local geography, it was in Kleberg County, which is no where near South Padre.
  15. Or realized they were outclassed by Charles Maund's $500 veteran rebate.
  16. And they have a large room on the S side which is often empty at lunch time. I don't know if you can reserve it. I'm a real fan of their fried oysters.
  17. I have some out of town lots that I can only mow about once a month. Often, the grass has grown such that lots of loose grass remains on the ground. I have thought about buying a bagging attachment for my Husqvarna 42" riding mower, but am concerned about one problem. Since it is often long and the resultant clippings are long, would a bagger have a problem with the chute jamming with the longer blades of grass? What sort of problems would I expect on such infrequent mowing? Any other suggestions beyond raking and bagging manually?
  18. Yes, Minnow Mountain in Austin did part of the animation. A company in the Netherlands also contributed, but, although I have heard, I didn't get exactly how it was all done. With shooting and vocals in LA, it is an example of how the Internet makes world cooperation possible. Co-creator and writer Kate Purdy grew up in San Antonio, thus the setting of the series.

  20. We were in NYC for Spring Break this year. Our round trip flight was with American, and we got hit with the 737 MAX grounding. They changed our flight back to SA twice, splitting us up both times. This was unacceptable to us, as we were flying with two children. My daughter posted our dilemma to AA's twitter feed. She got a call back within an hour and we got our return flight back seated together. We did have to change planes (original flight NS) but that was not as important. Social media can be your friend.
