  1. We need a prosecutor who can indict a ham sandwich.
  2. Any guesses if Amy is trans? NTTAWWT When she first came on, I wondered if she was just a somewhat masculine appearing woman. In one show, she mentioned a former girlfriend. Then, the other day, she mentioned having an unusual tattoo - of Princess Ozma of Oz, who was a girl changed into and raised as a boy (Tippitarius) and later transformed back into a girl. Whatever, she is a really good contestant, and it's fun to watch her dominate.
  3. Don't forget myriad versions of the stars and bars. Surprisingly, I haven't seen a Nazi swastika flag -- yet.
  4. We rented a house at 3715 Medical Pkwy in 68-67. The back yard backed up to 2-J's back property. My parents came down to visit us and I walked over to Mayton's Minimax on the corner of Lamar and 38th with my 13 year old younger brother to pick up something. While in line, three armed guys came in and robbed the place. They clocked old man Mayton on the head and got off with a bag of money from the office and registers. A bit scary with angry guys waving pistols all around. I think they were caught later that day. 2j's was okay. My son liked the small carousel they had on the parking lot.
  5. Acorn also has a lot of good British/Aussie/NZ detective shows/murder mysteries.
  6. Maybe she should avoid Brass Against concerts.
  7. Got my Moderna booster on Monday. Arm was a little sore that evening, similar to after effects of second shot. Achy all night and Tuesday morning. Took some Sodium Naproxen. All normal since Tuesday evening. Wife had no after effects.
  8. Proven by copies of Fanny Hill and Candy passed around high schools in the early sixties.
  9. I cry a lot when I realize all too many people actually believe all that.
  10. We did that for years. Watched most the football games. When my son had his sailboat, we sailed on New Year's day several years. We also liked to drive down to Little Shell Beach at PINS. Weather is usually mild down there during the holidays. Covid messed that up last year.
  11. Human centipede? We didn't do that. All heads against the wall. Like it would make a difference in a nuclear strike.
  12. No books on our heads. Bended over, hands on heads, against the hall walls. Life in the '50s was fun.
  13. Hey Hookit - Looks like Nicholas might have been a nothingburger in Port A. Was it? Mustang Island Airport listed very little rain over the past three days. Wind looked a little heavier than normal. How was it IRL? Did Old Town or Whispering Sands have flooding?
  14. I like all you mention. My wife didn't like McD & D. She didn't like how the DI treated the DS. I like just about anything with Jason Watkins. He killed as Roger in Hold the Sunset. Also love Brenda Blythen. Interesting to see her early on, as a young attractive mother in Labors of Erica. Not all that good a comedy and a horrid laugh track, but great to see the change as she aged.
  15. Powell St. John Brought Us the Message, 1940-2021: Psychedelic visionary and Janis Joplin bandmate – a "man for the ages" - Music - The Austin Chronicle
  16. We enjoyed Benidorm, Death in Paradise, and Silent Witness. First was a crazy comedy, second was light mystery/cop show, third was more serious mystery show.
  17. What? In a town where hardly anyone wears a mask or socially distances? I wonder what the vaccination rate is for PA (vs all of Nueces Co).
  18. My son had that on his wall. Years later, after he moved out, I used his old room as my computer room and put his old Queen bicycle race poster up.
  19. That is cool, and my four grandchildren really enjoyed it. Kind of a pain to get up at dark thirty to drive from PA to PINS to watch it, but really a great experience. How to See a Sea Turtle Hatchling Release - Padre Island National Seashore (U.S. National Park Service) (nps.gov) They all have enjoyed the Aquarium several times, also.
