  1. You should look at the box office numbers with a little bit of skepticism.

    Cincy @ ND NBC

Notre Dame has to do something with their offense if they want to win this game.
  3. Ferentz should just walk into the postgame presser with a giant stack of pizza boxes and ask the reporters if they would like a slice.
  4. Deuce Hogan from Grapevine in at quarterback for Iowa.
  5. This guy is the best quarterback on Iowa's schedule, Better than Brock Purdy, the guy from Indiana, or even Adrian Martinez.
  6. They are being gracious hosts by giving the ball away and committing multiple penalties in the red zone to give Iowa new sets of downs at the goal line.
  7. It was nice of the Terrapins to give Iowa the ball in the redzone those past two times.
  8. But he said he was coming back according to the lip reading in the broadcast booth.

    Leach #6???

Now I remember back when the story unfolded, it seemed like every forum, not just the football ones had at least one guy who would never stop posting about "Joe Pa did nothing wrong...." and it was always one of the extra psychopath posters that just never quits. I wonder what each of those guys is up to now.
  10. Okay, I listened to both soundtrack albums now and the Dune Sketchbook is the superior listen. The same sounds, vocal samples, instruments, and musical elements are in each one, but the sketchbook has them arranged in long compositions going up to 16 minutes in length. There are some sounds that come from the story like the Ornithopters or thumpers and other stuff. There is a ton of vocals samples and the tracks rely heavily on manipulating the vocals and choruses. A couple tracks have bagpipes in them for some reason. Hans Zimmer is the omnipresent soundtrack artist, and he basically has teams of musicians and vocalists and writers and arrangers working for him, with a budget that is almost unlimited for making music. He has a little more resources than a bedroom producer who makes "soundscapes". So he had a giant budget and his teams of musicians and an extra year to make music for Dune.
  11. I know people don't like it when I say things like this. But if I were a Power 5 Head Football Coach, I would choose to be a fat coach. In the mold of Biels, Fridge, the guy at Kansas from ten years ago, or even Andy Reid.
  12. Has anyone considered that she is genuinely attracted to Biels?
  13. I went for a walk after checking the scores and seeing Nebraska ahead by a touchdown in the 2nd half.
  14. A lot of the local commenters are saying they were the better team on the field in Norman on Saturday and Nebraska were the ones who made mistakes and gave the game away. At least they kept it from staying close or going down to the wire end of the game tied or something.
  15. These penalties are on the Head Coach for not getting his team ready, right?
  16. FOX just did the thing with a score, then a commercial break, then a kickoff with a Gus Johnson tease about Adrian Martinez gets his first chance coming up.... .....Then another commercial break to build the anticipation.
  17. Did Gus Johnson just say that Nebraska "wanted to Big Ten the Sooners..."
  18. My sources tell me it is in the future.
  19. I would call Joe Klatt and ask him who I should call after calling Joe Klatt.
  20. What Schiano has done at Rutgers is amazing. He could get any big job that opens up in the Northeast.
  21. I know people don't like it when I say things like this. But Iowa State upset the Football Gods when they went with those uniforms. They were worth at least two turnovers before the game kicked off. Just an awful idea.
  22. This was a game decided by defense, turnovers, and special teams. Campbell may have pulled his starting quarterback and others too soon in the 4th quarter. There were lots of backups in when the last touchdown was scored.
