  1. Ha, Ha! Paul Finebaum! How's he going to spin it?
  2. Going to the zone like he did reminded me of Barnes. I don't know enough to know if Shaka made no counter adjustments or if they were not successful. And the execution at the end was on the players.
  3. Kid is talented if he can get his head straight. He and Roschon and Bijan would be a pretty stout group.
  4. Did Ingram ever sign The Turtle's papers? I don't remember seeing his new destination school, and the portal talk got drowned out by all the Bijan joy. I wonder if our new staff can find a place for him to thrive assuming he sticks around.
  5. He kept asking others in the room WTF Orgeron was saying
  6. I don't see how LSU is an attractive alternative for coordinators at this point. It seems they are still on the page we've already turned. I don't see the Ogre, as "colorful" as he is, surviving more than 2 more seasons.
  7. I'm 57. "Come on ice cream" is a quote from Cheech & Chong. Cheech goes in to the shitter stall, sits down, and says he had a burrito for lunch and some ice cream. Then he says "Come on ice cream." That was probably mid to late 70s.
  8. Early on when Golding was still pretty new to Bama, the defense was riddled with injuries to key guys. It looks like he has matured and has better depth, but some of the former players talk about communication issues, slow to get signals in, etc. The tide faithful are Old Testament entitled to a top 5 defense every season... Who knows.
  9. Not a word about Golding. I'm not sure what to make of that.
  10. Players stepping up in leadership roles now that TH is gone. This is as good of news as we could hope for. For the first time in a long while this sounds like a football team coming together.
  11. Weather's changing. They always seem to show up just before a big change in the weather.
  12. The most lucid thing I've heard yet.
  13. I hope most parents would agree with me when I say race really isn't a part of this discussion. I would expect a fellow parent, or any competent adult, to come to my children's aid as I would theirs. I'm not so naïve as to say "I never see a person's color" because none of us were raised in a vacuum. But I'm trying to work through the wrong things my dad tried to teach me and even his racist ass would have put himself at personal risk for a child, any color child. It makes no difference what color the coach was nor the kid. The coach was wrong. Children don't get punched for failing to execute in sports. I can't change how others see it or react to it if the coach and kid are of different races. Nor can I can't speak for persons of a historically oppressed race. It just seems there are situations that transcend all of it, like little kids being hurt by adults.
  14. There's video evidence. No one has to "file charges". The cops just need to go arrest him. I don't know if that is a felony or a misdemeanor in Georgia, but that asshole needs to come up with a bond, pay a lawyer, and do some probation time with lots of anger management courses as a condition. It shouldn't happen again and unless something comes of it, it will.
  15. Yes. He will replace shit for brains as the lead game day face of LHN. Eat that, ESPN!
  16. Should I be wearing a tin foil hat simply because I haven't been 100% convinced that UM is a no go? I don't think so. But if you're dedicating large amounts of time to trying to convince others that it is a 100% sure thing, let me suggest that you can find orange tin foil on the internet and that would be a great look for you.
  17. I can get on board with this. He doesn't check the "built at least two programs" criteria I have seen attributed to CDC. If that's really a requirement, why was he supposedly offered the job last year?
  18. This is what I kind of surmised. So like CTJ said, UM will simply not address it instead of publicly saying he turned us down for a job that wasn't even open.
  19. Why wouldn't UM have publicly thanked UT for considering him and said that he isn't interested in coaching again at this time, etc.? Is it because he shouldn't be, and officially has not been, offered a job that still belongs to someone else? I tend to think that if the negotiations actually happened, and I think they did, UM would want to stop any further discussion or speculation about it. Or, maybe it is just not "proper" for him to have been considering it when TH is still in the job. It just seems odd that no one, from either side, has said anything publicly. I'm not drawing any conclusions, but it just seems strange no one has stabbed a fork in it.
