  1. While you're right to assume I meant you were unhinged, you're wrong to assume that I support for whatever Trump does. It's okay, I forgive you.
  2. You seem hinged. I've criticized Trump on this Trade War with China already so I don't get the vitriol. This only highlights my point that guys like you on the web that talk shit like this only motivate the other side to spite you (or what they see as the cultish Left). Trump sucks balls in a lot of ways my man, so go take your prozac and have a coke and a smile.
  3. I know it's not an outreach for Trump supporters, but the online world does manifest itself in the real world in my opinion. If both sides are constantly talking shit to each other and not focusing on the substance of each issue, then we are just going to keep going round and round on the Team-Party-Tribe-Politics Tilt-A Whirl getting fed turd sandwiches time and time again. It Is what it is. Everyone's a badass online I guess.
  4. I agree with most of this, but if you are on the right side of the argument, then trying to persuade the other side by berating them with what seems like condescending vitriol is not the way to go about it in my opinion. So what I see is this: Person Touching the stove: "Ooh Hot!" Person A's Response: "you dumb ass mawfucker, didn't you know it was hot? Maybe you're dumbass will think next time!" Inner Monologue: (That'll teach that dumbfuck) Person B's Response: "it'll burn you, and it should be avoided in the future" Now which response do you think will get the person touching the hot stove to actually not touch the stove next go round? IMO, there are many out there that would touch it again to spite Person A.
  5. The lesson here is that Tariffs do not work, whether it be Obama, Bush, or Trump. Personally, I feel the binary system we have now just pits us against each other and we miss the lesson all together. The big picture lesson is that governments cannot intervene in the free market without distorting it, thus creating higher prices. But no, that's not the fashionable thing to do....we have to call the President every name in the book and show glee that his supporters (and I bet non-supporters) are hurting because some of his poor policy choices. It would be different if you guys were getting to the heart of the matter, but the divisive rhetoric and constant Trump bashing really drives a wedge between all of us.
  6. You actually feel joy that American citizens are being hurt by tariffs? This right here is what's wrong with party politics. I would hope you were as rabid about Obama's tariffs on tires, but it wouldn't surprise me if you were not aware we spent 1.1 billion more on domestic tires due to those tariffs. The issue here is tariffs do not work and Trump and Obama were both regarded for implementing tariffs that hurt consumers.
  7. I'm really wondering if he was under the influence of drugs (legal or illegal.)
  8. He still looks like a normal dude amongst goofballs though imo. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Just discovered Mark Tippetts, he doesn't fit the mold of the goofballs that Anastasis illustrated: https://mark4gov.com/
  10. I'm more interested in the Mises Caucus of the LP that has been coined the libertarian wing of the Libertarian Party of all things!
  11. I sell the shit out of those Urinal Screens that smell like Watermelon Bubble gum, keeps the splash down and sure one of you guys have pissed on one of mines in the ATX. You're welcome
  12. What swindle is that? The cynical view that organized religion has been a tool to control the masses by corrupt men? That they hijacked what Jesus Christ stood for (helping the poor and selflessness) to serve their own selfish ends? I hold that view now, but that doesn't mean that Jesus Christ, the Man, did not exist in our history. Also, I still doubt a lot of the Bible's stories, but I don't rule out the possibility that it was written by men embellishing as to how Jesus Christ lived. Is that so far fetched? Please elaborate on how you still think I fell for what you claim is the biggest swindle of all.
  13. Well there you go, a reasonable answer. I don’t know either. I think it’s pretty sad that some on the board will just shit on everyone else over a disagreement on beliefs or history. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Okay, forgive me for the negative question. Let me ask this way: Some suggest Jesus' early opponents never made the argument that he never existed. Why would you think that was? Some would argue that it's rather suggestive of his existence.
  15. I suppose I did do that. My bad.
  16. I get it. I suppose I imagined that we could have a simple discussion, because I, myself, have been looking into it as of late. Anyway, yeah good points. I concede.
  17. Let me ask you directly: Did Jesus Christ exist or not?
  18. Okay well I'll admit the "asking for a friend" part was a joke. Let me put it positively then. My question simply is: Did the man, Jesus Christ, exist or not and are their any texts that lend proof, besides the bible, that he in fact was a documented human being? Seriously. Threw in asking for a friend because I thought it would put that surly, jerky spin on it, but apparently it struck a nerve with some of you guys. Sorry it hit some of you in the vag. And nice work throwing me in with the Qanon group, wouldn't be a Surly politics thread without generalizing anyone who disagrees as a Trumper conspiracy theorist.
  19. What proof do you have that Jesus did not exist? Asking for a friend.
  20. In my opinion, I that there's likely many more Sanders supporters that said "fuck the DNC, i'm voting for Trump."
  21. I know first hand people that were Bernie Sanders supporters that voted Trump as a protest vote. What does that say about the effect that the DNC had on the election?
  22. Thankfully your not. Moderation, discipline dude.
  23. This is cockamamie. The government should protect private property rights, if a private company is dumping toxic waste or contaminating water, then the free market would force them out of business and hold them accountable. Did the state DEQ of Michigan protect those in Flint from dirty water? Is that organization still alive and well? Some people got fired, but the state apparatus (which is likely ridden with un-incentived workers) is still intact.
  24. Moderation is key and takes discipline, which is what freedom is all about. It seems a lot of people on this forum trust our state overlords to regulate and do the right thing. The state is the locus of sociopathic and narcissistic behavior and I for one DESPISE narcissists that think they have the solutions to everyone's everyday lives.
  25. You’d rather risk war with a nuclear power than ease things throw diplomacy? Where have all the anti-war Democrats gone? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
