  1. They let a student assistant get blown off a scissor lift in high winds.
  2. Was the vote Catholics vs. Non-Catholics? That could get fun.
  3. That's the snowflakiest thing I've ever seen a conference do. I'm surprised Mount Union and NDSU haven't been kicked out of their respective conferences.
  4. Just a reminder: any current Baytown cop is someone who couldn't get a better-paying job at the Exxon plant. Seriously, Exxon raids the smart reliable cops, and leaves the rejects behind.
  5. Maybe Mia Khalifa can get away with buying the whole thing, since they wouldn't let her buy a franchise. However, she may have to earn some extra cash quickly to make it happen...
  6. Meanwhile in Austin, this may go down as one of the forcefield's greatest hits.
  7. Looks like 8:30 PM outside right now.
  8. Kris Benson. First overall draft pick, but only ended up 70-70. Had some interesting headlines off the field, thanks to his wife. Remember kids, never marry a stripper.
  9. Dumb. Just move it back to the 35, and the number of overtimes would go way down.
  10. 15-20 years ago, I would try to look sharp in order to get upgraded to first class on full flights. Happened 3 times I think, Including getting one of those individual pods at the front of a 747!
  11. A little bit of a exaggeration, but you're close--Doug McDermott makes $7.3 mil/year, with 2 more years left. https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/m/mcderdo01.html
  12. On EDSBS.com about 10 years ago they had a "fan confessions" thread. A Nebraska fan said he'd rather spend a night partying in hell with Barry Switzer than have a nice dinner with Tom and Nancy Osborne. Can't say I would argue.
  13. I see one team having an epic drought in the second half.
  14. i guess that's a step up from what the founder of the university was doing with his involuntary servants.
  15. it's my observation that the team whose fans celebrate making the championship game/round rather than waiting for the championship usually loses. Reminds me of when Atlanta had a parade for the Falcons making the Super Bowl.
