  1. Ohhh, gotcha. I had always heard Gainesville was more of a college town, or at least as close as would get to one in FL.
  2. Could you imagine how stupid you would feel to have a life-threatening or disabling injury or miss work/lose your job because of a fight at a super bowl parade? At least you would feel better than if you were hurt fighting other home fans at a Dolphins/Bills/Jets game, but come on.
  3. Dude went 5-7 last year, combine that with his numerous issues, and his ceiling is Sun Belt/FCS.
  4. If he isn't at least as good as that kid in Alien Ant Farm's "Smooth Criminal" video, he should resign.
  5. Fun fact: during Goff's three years as a starter, Cal went 14-23.
  6. Is that Belechick's stem cell donor he's holding?
  7. Wow, Vince Wilfork lost some LB's.
  8. Brady: Nope, Bill and I are going to grimly pile up championships until one of us dies.
  9. Man, that's some bad sound issues with the post-game interviews.
  10. What, I thought the Dilly Dilly dorks were dead?
  11. Doesn't the top picture, showing the Google building site, have a sign advertising the building on the site to the east, as seen in the second picture?
  12. So, that wasn't just a run of the mill awful performance by NC State, it was the fewest points scored by a ranked team in the shot clock era of men's NCAA basketball. https://www.cbssports.com/college-basketball/news/nc-state-vs-virginia-tech-score-wolf-pack-total-fewest-points-by-ranked-team-in-shot-clock-era/ As the article states, NC state once scored 12 against Duke in the ACC tournament--and won!
  13. NC State shot 16.7% from the floor, including 7.1% from 3 point range!
  14. Anyone notice that VT is beating NC State 47-22 with 2:48 left in the game? Update: the final was 47-24.
  15. Hey, there's a flood coming, so I'll drive 8 feet in reverse.
  16. UCF has a roller coaster graphic on their court? On ESPNU now.
  17. https://twitter.com/firstnamescott/status/1091037280159051782
  18. 1,300 parking spaces for an estimated 5,000 workers. Sounds like most of the employees would not be provided parking. I would also guess some of the 1,300 spaces will be reserved for visitors. A suburban office building would typically require 2,000-3,500 parking spaces for that many square feet.
  19. There are lots of weird laws up and down the east coast. NC and VA also have the state stores for the hard stuff. NY doesn't allow liquor stores to sell anything but liquor (No Spec's style stores with cigars, deli, etc) MD has no beer and wine in grocery stores, GA doesn't allow any package sales on Sunday, SC used to make bars serve hard liquor out of mini-bottles (!).
  20. I don't know about multiple, but they did have a member of the swimming team kill herself after the University administration ignored her rape complaint against several football players. They should have gotten the damn hammer for that, too. https://deadspin.com/how-mizzou-failed-an-alleged-rape-victim-who-killed-her-1508367979 A friend of Menu Courey's and a former wide receiver on the football team, Rolandis Woodland, claims that Menu Courey was actually raped by several football players, but wasn't aware of that fact because she was drunk. (Woodland claims to have seen a video of the alleged rape.) According to OTL's report, at least six campus medical officials and a Missouri athletics department staffer knew about Menu Courey's alleged rape while she was still alive. The administration was also made aware of a Columbia Daily Tribune article about Menu Courey published after her suicide, which mentioned a diary entry of hers describing the alleged rape. And yet: As of Thursday, the university had not taken any steps to investigate the alleged rape of Sasha Menu Courey. When asked by OTL why this was the case, university spokesman Chad Moller responded via email: In April of 2011, Menu Courey tried to kill herself in a motel room by slashing her wrists. Police responded, and had to pepper spray and taser her in order to get the razor out of her hand. While she was struggling with the officers she yelled, "The system failed me! The system failed me!"
  21. That's not going to help student recruitment at a school that recently had such a nasty race relations scandal that the overall enrollment dropped, causing layoffs and elimination of courses. This happened at the same time as the MO legislature passed brutal state higher ed budget cuts .
  22. Sucks to play QB in the AFC and not be one of these 3 guys.. and Flacco?
