  1. Not the S&P, but in the often hilarious Massey Ratings, which has one version that has all college teams from every level ranked together, Earlham is #923 out of 927. https://www.masseyratings.com/cf/ratings?page=1

  3. Buffalo is having a hell of year for a team at that level. In order to retain their coach, they should show him film of what happened to Turner Gill after he left Buffalo for Kansas.
  4. Wow, he'll be 71 when his current contract expires! Watch him get a few more extensions, just for "recruiting stabiliity" dontcha know! Edit: Here's the link to his contract: https://hkm.com/football/contracts/kirk-ferentz/
  5. The crazy thing is Rutgers isn't even good at Women's BB any more. After finishing as the national runner up in 2007 (Remember the Don Imus incident?) RU looked like a good addition to B1G women's hoops. Instead, they've gone 30-38 in conference play with one NCAA appearance since joining the league, and that's in their good sport. Men's hoops has finished last every year. Men's soccer has made their NCAA tournament once since joining the league, and has finished last in the league each of the last two years. Bonus fun fact: Rutgers' sole NCAA national championship is fencing from 1949. Makes aggy look good by comparison.
  6. Looks like this Arlington may be in the cold. They kind of acted like they wanted it too much. No game. https://www.nbcdfw.com/news/business/Arlington-Video-Submission-for-Amazon-HQ2_Dallas-Fort-Worth-482714331.html
  7. Looks like had an old record player on the stand. Didn't know that was a hobby of his.
  8. Urban Meyer to take the Louisville job?
  9. CU stopped on 4th down after a long punt return gave them great field position.
  10. It's on a FOX channel, so the kickoff wasn't until just now.
  11. Pac12 after dark, for all you shut-ins drinking at home.
  12. So the rebuttal to someone speaking to investigators looking into the supposedly toxic culture in the football program...is mob violence? Yeah, that'll show 'em that the program's culture is on the up and up! Even better, this happened during the one day Durkin was back on the job. I'm sure he showed his usual responsible stewardship and made sure the situation didn't get out of hand.
  13. Which one of you south Austonians was this? https://www.statesman.com/news/20181101/man-riding-personal-scooter-charged-with-dwi-police-say
  14. Well, who better to lead the troubled U.MD athletic department than this guy? https://atlanta.sbnation.com/2010/7/3/1550750/text-of-damon-evans-police-report-red-panties Elsewhere the officer describes Evans as crying, talkative, and swaying, with slow, mumbled speech. He allegedly needed to use his car for balance and didn’t ace the field sobriety tests. Until this mountainous shoe dropped and left a crater filled with a volcano full of tornadoes belching out red panties onto storied Butts-Mehre Heritage Hall, some portions of the local sports community were still able to imagine a future in which Evans remained as UGA’s AD. That’s long gone now. The university could perhaps forgive one drunk driving incident. The Tiger Woodsy details are guaranteed to alter the attire of rival fanbases on gamedays, but the school could possibly find a reason to forgive that as well. It cannot let its athletic director get away with using the school’s good name, repeatedly, in an attempt to avoid drunk driving charges.
  15. I blame CMT, Duck Dynasty, Fox News, the post-Jeff Foxworthy redneck comedy circuit and other TV personalities such as Paula Deen for creating a southernized national white rural identity over the last 25 years or so. It used to be rural folks up north were "hicks" who were often quite different from their southern counterparts. Now it seems like regional differences in rural whiteness have disappeared and they're all rednecks on the southern model--they even wave rebel flags in rural Massachusetts these days.
  16. BTW, wasn't Kathie Tovo a big opponent of adding more water treatment capacity in Austin?
  17. The panic is when we run out of beer because the local breweries don't have good water.
  18. I was considering that last night--may be a good idea as long as I don't expose myself to the neighbors
  19. That dude better be taking those to an orphanage or a homeless shelter, otherwise he's a total jackass.
