  1. If you're serious about that, there's only one thing to do:
  2. How long until it hits a student geeking out on the drag?
  3. Holy shit: That's it, burn it all down.
  4. I think this whole episode is an amazing indictment of our corporate wealth/fame system. How it is better to drop out of Stanford than continue to, you know, get an elite education in science if you are planning a potentially groundbreaking science/tech product? Pic of her around dropout time, because rules: Why do people bother to listen to someone that doesn't yet have a product on the market, yet alone invite them to give well-attended talks, provide commencement addressees and seek them out for political advice? This baffles me. I mean seriously, why do we give the time of day to someone who hasn't really done anything other than sweet talk people out of their money? Based on that skill, she was palling around with celebrities, meeting elite politicians--some of whom went out of their way to attend her speeches--and getting TV interviews and magazine articles as if she was a "real" CEO with a viable product. Why are we so in awe of startup founders, especially when they haven't even proven their big idea can work?
  5. Rest in peace. Even in death, still a better bass player than Flea.
  6. Many of them will now have the opportunity to suck for an additional year.
  7. The only thing wrong with the current format was revealed when Oregon State showed how a team could win the championship while losing two games in Omaha. IIRC, before then, that had never happened. In previous formats it couldn't happen. I will also agree the one game championship series was awful.
  8. Aggy hanging with the rest of the SEC:
  9. PSA: 2011 game on LHN at 9:30.
  10. NextDoor gonna NextDoor. That could be a great/awful thread. Any takers?
  11. I agree and think they're also getting to be a waste of time in hoops, too. Just have the regular season, and have a playoff only if two teams have tied conference records, which was the old Ivy League model. Mid-major conferences continually screw themselves out of their one good team making the tourney by having a needless tournament just so they can get the championship game on ESPN2.
  12. Have you not been to Omaha much? They'd fit right in. Chicks there have the most dyed and processed hair I've seen since the '90s.
  13. The P.E.O. Bear. Yeah, that's a little close for comfort.
  14. Where is G.O.A.T. playing during this year's festivities?
  15. That's sad to hear. I appreciate her life's work. She designed purses which helped me easily identify which women I should avoid.
  16. That'll happen when you lose Louisville, Memphis, Cincinnati, Houston and Marquette, and replace them with UNC-Charlotte, FAU, FIU, UTSA, MTSU and so on.
  17. I was at DKR for that. About as brutal as it gets. It was confusing figuring out exactly what was rolling around from my NEZ seats.
  18. Not very convincing. She needs to take a picture holding up today's Washington Post.
  19. Been there a couple of times, nice town with several good bars and restaurants. It also got catastrophically flooded in August 2016, and had just begun to recover.
  20. Philosophy, is the talk on a cereal box. Religion, is the smile on a dog.
  21. I think the Nebraska hat in OP's pic did him in.
  22. I've been to Hamilton, It's basically the Omaha/Wichita/Toledo of Canada. It's a college town, so there's plenty of opportunity for him to get in trouble. As lame as Hamilton sounds, I've managed to get wasted there twice. Canadian beer was super strong compared to US beer in the pre-microbrew days.
  23. DKR Virginia Tech UNC Georgia Tech Nebraska Maryland Columbia Lehigh Temple (at the Eagles Stadium)
