  1. I think you mean… ”What’s with the gap?”
  2. If they add all Hawaii’s other sports as rumored they won’t need anymore additions.
  3. Just saying. I still like Texas State for ending up in the PAC.
  4. To never lose a game, get all the five star players in the country, never lose any coaches or players to other schools, and to make our enemies cry until they beg for mercy.
  5. Butler and Dubose haven’t played a snap yet. Niblett and Livingstone have.
  6. Please tell me where this post/thread is about the stupid hat. I can only assume it’s the one I saw last weekend with all the SEC school logos all over it. I was embarrassed for the lady I saw wearing it.
  7. Both the PAC and the MWC are sitting at 7 full FBS members. They both need one more. PAC has Gonzaga, but they ain’t adding football. Adding Texas State seems like the most obvious move here, but the PAC consistently think to highly of themselves and keep stepping on their dicks every chance they get. Is Texas State any worse than Utah State? Fuck no. MWC has Hawaii football only. Hawaii moving its non fb sports from the Big West to the MWC is the easiest solution.
  8. Yes you are. App St > Air Force Marshall > Hawaii GA Southern > Wyoming James Madison > UNLV Louisiana > SJSU ULM > UTEP Southern Miss > Nevada Coastal Carolina > New Mexico and ODU, Troy, South Alabama, Arkansas St, and GA State are better than anything the MWC can add from CUSA.
  9. Good. If they get a PAC offer they should go, but I think the Sun Belt is better than the MWC. App St, Marshall, GA Southern, Southern Miss, ULL > Air Force, Wyoming, UNLV, SJSU, Hawaii
  10. Poor NMSU.
  11. About damn time.
  12. Brent Venables puts ketchup on his well done steak.
  13. Easy to predict (many did) as it makes perfect sense. It’s pretty cold blooded if both the MWC and PAC leave out New Mexico State as the only G5 FBS team in not located in the Central or Eastern Time Zone when both conferences are hurting for members. I have no idea what the PAC is doing. If they pass on Texas State the only other option might be for them to go after Hawaii as a full member, wonder what, if anything, they had to sign to stay in the MWC. I still stand by that Sam Houston is not an option here, but maybe they go back to a familiar school like Louisiana Tech who spent a decade+ with the old WAC schools. Louisiana Tech has to be disappointed in what has happened with CUSA and their facility/alumni knows all about late night games out West.
  14. Not the best photo but it’s what I had.
  15. Which means what exactly. What historically significant event happened there? That registry is the ultimate Karen/Old Austin/nimby bullshit that does absolutely nothing. Muny and Hancock golf courses are on this list along side “6th Street” and the Kappa Gamma house. Shit can be old, and people can put it on a list of “historic” place to circle jerk each other off as they fight against txdot expanding 35…but nothing historic occurred there. It was a run down old shitty building that did nothing for a university that is essentially landlocked on all sides. Nobody was going to turn it into a museum (we have more than enough of those on campus already, many are rarely visited). Nobody wanted to pay to maintain it or improve it. It was an eyesore that stood in the way of progress of the best public school in not only our own state but in the whole mother fucking the Central Time Zone.
  16. One site only counts FBS wins. Mack was head coach of App State for a season while they were still in FCS so it doesn’t count those. The other site only updates after each season. To date Mack is 10 wins behind Saban in college football wins (all divisions).
  17. He’s 10 wins behind Saban. He ain’t getting that this year. Not sure he’ll survive at UNC that long. If he wants that record he’s going to have to go to a G5 program.
  18. And…they have to be able to catch a ball. That make it any better?
  19. Where the participation chart guy for tracking red shirts? (sorry I can remember who kept track of that). The staff likes Parker, he’s marked as participating in our non-Michigan OOC though he didn’t recorded any stats. It’s notable that Butler and Dubois DNP. I’m sure the staff is still planning on red shirting him but that’s still a great sign of his potential. When Bond/Golden/Bolden all declare for the draft Parker will battling the incoming freshmen for a spot in the two deep after Cook, Moore, and Wingo. You can teach a lot of things but you can’t teach a 6ft guy to be 6’3.
  20. I don’t like or trust KB’s opinion, he goes way too far out of his way to try not to look like a Texas homer doing stupid ass shit like voting Reggie Bush #1 on his Heisman ballot after watching Vince mother fucking Young in person absolutely dominate all year. But credit where credit is due, he voted Texas #1 in the last two weeks and now has us at #2. With the 12 team playoff, and the SEC not using dumbass polls to determine its championship participants (fuck you forever Big12) isn’t all that important and is a position that can be easily defended.
  21. No flyover, I was looking for them.
  22. Quoted the wrong post.
  23. I don’t disagree with the analysis but I feel like including conference championship games and post season bowl/playoff games skews the data even more significantly toward those having good seasons. I assume your just referencing the top 25 chart on sportmediawatch, but the post season significantly skews our success criteria. Oregon/Washington drew 7 million and was the most watched game of the week during the regular season. Auburn was the number 2 game of the week twice last year against UGA and Bama drawing more than 6 million each time. All of these examples were overall top 15 games out of the 13 week regular cfb seasons. For the Auburn example you could counter that they only draw because they played Bama/UGA and but Kentucky DID NOT draw 7 million playing those same teams. This to make shows there is a clear distinction from Auburn and Kentucky which is why I separate them into a different tiers based out their outcome driven values. I typically consider 5 million+ viewers to be a major indicator of your program/year. Only 32 games pulled 5 million+ last year. Sure their are a few outliers like TCU, Colorado St, Duke, Maryland, and Georgia Tech where the Colorado or a power program is carrying most of the load, but in general those games are between teams in the top tier or one clearly in the elite of your second tier.
