  1. Guessing Miami/FSU in Prime Time opposite TN/Mizzou, WVU/OU, MSU/aggy, OhioSt/MichSt they’ll put us on the 230 game opposite Utah/Washington and UGA/OleMiss.
  2. I saw the ghost of Elvis on Union Avenue.
  3. Would you like to make a bet that Texas will once again be 14 out of 14 next year in penalty yards? Hell I’ll spot you the 2 additions and give you 14 out of 16. Or would you rather bet that Texas has 50% fewer penalty yards than the conference mean next year? (Big 12 avg=42.2 yrd/gm; Texas is 21.2 yrd/gm) I’ll happily bet you $10k. I’ll send it over to immamac if you would do the same, I’ll even donate my winnings to the NIL fund? You care to put your money where your mouth is?
  4. I gots to get better man, it gots to move on. Switched from Motorola to a PrimeCo ONE expansion drones.
  5. Alabama wanted to play Auburn, Tennessee, and Mississippi State every year, but with Tennessee having a horrible decade that wasn’t a balanced schedule so they drop MSU and subbed in LSU which just so happens to have been the biggest game over the last decade. Saban was pissed that they were the only team playing 3 teams that have won BCS/CFP titles. Part of what messes with the model is that aggy is in the SEC’s top 8 conferences winning percentage while Tennessee is not so that messes with it when you look at it like Saban does but overall Tennessee has been dog shit for a decade so they shouldn’t get credit for them. Regardless he’s changed his tuned on it, which is great for the conference. Here’s what he said this week about LSU (and said something similar about TN this year as well): "I think this is a great game that has tremendous fan interest,” Saban said on Wednesday's SEC teleconference. “It's been a great game for however long I've been here. They've got a great atmosphere, and we've got a great atmosphere at our stadium. Both fan bases look forward to the game. I think as many of these fan-interest, rivalry games, whatever you want to call them, that we can keep over time is beneficial to the conference and beneficial to the players who play the game."
  6. https://sports.yahoo.com/inside-the-bitter-split-between-the-sec-and-cbs-they-just-dug-their-heels-in-they-would-not-move-144745854.html Finally an explanation.
  7. No. If ESPN doesn’t pay up for a 9th conference game, we will only keep Oklahoma as an annual rival in the 1-7-7 model. If they go to 9 conference games we’d get Arkansas/aggy annually in a 3-6-6 model. Going to 9 games failed this year by 2 votes. Presumably Texas/OU want 9 conference games so when we join it will be a split vote, however Bama/Saban seem to have changed their tune since then and they are supporting playing 9 games and keeping LSU/TN/Auburn as annual rivalries.
  8. I don’t think I’ll ever get over 2011, but this helps. This was a really special team. Fuck yeah!
  9. I hate this. But I agree with you. Until the SEC and ACC go to 9 conference games, you’re just signing up for an extra conference loss across the board. Use the same stupid tricks the SEC has for years. Play a few early season conference games for eye balls and to let the early loses fade. Play a late season FCS as an easy bye week allowing player rest and an artificial boost in the rankings since you hold your position while all other conferences and losses. Still, contractually the Big 12 is required to play 9 so it’s a moot point.
  10. It seems real dumb to not just establish a 1-8-8 model. It would be easy to schedule and for fans to keep track of. The only reason not to do that is pairing today’s Colorado with Kanas or with Iowa State every year seems criminally wasteful. Still seems stupid to make a long term problem for short term gain.
  11. And you’re assuming they are making clearly logical choice. Chairman Xi has a ton of “Yes Men” around him, if he wants to go after Taiwan, they’ll confirm it’s a great idea regardless of what the eventual consequences are.
  12. Looking over the schedules, could be anytime on ABC, 230/Prime on FOX, the 230 window on ESPN, or the 11a/Prime window on FS1. SEC/B1G are already assigned so it’s basically just slotting the Big12/PAC12 games on FOX or ABC/ESPN with ACC. My guess: WVU/OU on FOX at 230 USC/Oregon on FOX at 7 TCU/Texas on ABC at 11 Utah/Washington on ABC at 230 Miami/FSU on ABC at 730 Duke/UNC on ESPN at 230 Baylor/KSU on FS1 at 11 Tech/Kansas on FS1 at 7
  13. “Yes, the game would be finished if it pushed late,” BYU spokesman Brett Pyne told Yahoo Sports via email. “A game involving BYU that starts on Saturday will be played to its completion if it happens to extend past midnight.” https://sports.yahoo.com/happen-lsu-vs-byu-game-extends-sunday-204703915.html BYU needed that late ESPN window from ESPN while they were independent. They weren’t going to not finish those games.
  14. It really is odds how segregated the ACC is setting up. You would have assumed either fewer rival or more crossover. I don’t get the Miami/VT pairing. I know they were Big East buds and in the same division but that doesn’t seem like a reason to keep it going. I also find it interesting that they brought back NCSU/Duke as an annual game but not UNC/WF (I get that would have given UNC 4 rivals) And finally, why does everyone hate Georgia Tech and Louisville? Seems weird to give them 8 different teams each year…
  15. I appreciate your sentiment, but I will not be joining you. Starbucks is overpriced sugar milk masquerading as coffee and McDonald’s is essentially poison.
  16. No, it has to be more than that. If they got rid of the stripes on the helmet and shoulder it likely wouldn’t be an issue.
  17. Brent Zwerneman has a template for this… “Texas A&M announced on Wednesday that it cannot play in the 4th annual Duke’s Mayo Bowl on Dec. 27 against Georgia Tech because of a COVID-19 outbreak on its team.”
  18. Which country below would you pick to be a be a Jew over a Palestinian in: Jordan Lebanon Syria Saudi Arabia Egypt Turkey Yemen Iraq Qatar UAE Iran Oman ?
  19. Honest answer. In Israel, a Palestinian. Outside of Israel a Jew.
  20. Seriously this is some 1984 bullshit reframing
  21. Yes this was my biggest complaint. The volume and occasional lulls in advertising were significantly better than the first few home games. Hope that wasn’t a fluke.
  22. I went with the wife/kids to the pumpkin bullshit in Dripping last weekend, you know…during a bye week and during the solar eclipse. Learn from your mistakes young blood.
  23. That doesn’t seem like it’s worth interrupting a football game for. I could at least understand (not agree) the point of a pro Palestine protest, but this just seems odd.
