  1. Medley. We live in Allen, and I think you live close. We had an excellent experience with them the several times they came out before we finally bought the new AC. Very professional. Never felt like we just a sales ticket for them. I don't remember all the details, but the day they were supposed to come for the new install, there was a part that hadn't arrived yet. My wife complained to the dispatch person a little bit, but I knew they're were some shortages and stuff still trying to get back to normal from Covid. They offered to come install some window units if we needed them They called the day before the rescheduled install to say they didn't have the part yet. I called and basically said something like "We have four dogs, 4 chickens and two cats. We have two kids in school. We both work full time. This isn't like having having someone drop off a package. We have to schedule this install around alot of things. I think this incredibly unfair of you." Wife got a call from the owner about an hour later saying he would drive to Ft Worth and grab the part and meet us at the house the next day. He said they would make it work, but might need to work a little different hours. Basically work from 10 - 5 instead of 9-4 as originally scheduled. I want to say they took a couple hundred bucks, but I don't really remember.
  2. My guess is that is that they will whittle down air defenses, and the first day it's below freezing in St. Petersburg and Moscow, we will see about 100 Flamingos completely destroy the electric grids of both cities. Probably followed up by the Kerch Bridge.
  3. Pretty much same thing happened to me, but we really did need ours replaced. Found a local company who I could talk to the owner. Alot cheaper with a much better service
  4. This is me. I never have to actually go to my work, but at least once a week I will go for a few hours because I can't always focus at home. I usually do all the easy stuff at home with the TV going on in the back ground and save the stuff I really need to concentrate on to do at the store. In my case, I can also get some advice on certain issues from my coworkers, and that is easier to do in person.
  5. I was able to that last year for both our Home Owners and 6th months of car insurance. All of cards except for one have some sort of reward, but I can pretty much pay them off every week. I also use the upside app for gas. Probably not really worth it for most people, but as much as I drive for work I wind up getting $7-8 back a week. Cash it out about once every 3 months and its a decent night out for me and the wife. Or a bottle of good whiskey
  6. Soo... He was the only he was the only guy in a class full of women learning to cook... Reminds me of college. I signed up for golf as my PE credit. I was talking to my dad about it he asked what the other options were. One of which was Dance. He stopped me and said "You chose golf over being the only guy in a room full of college girls wearing spandex...smart"
  7. I remember when my grandad let me open the gate by myself for the first time. Definitely a big deal for me at the time
  8. Shit. That was back when I ran 3 miles a day outside. You see how white I am now
  9. I've been hesitant to post this, but since many of you have posted about your dogs crossing the rainbow bridge, I thought I would share. This is Rose. I never really loved dogs before her. I mean I liked them and all, but not like close. My ex was a vet tech at the time and the week after the VY 4th and five, she got to work and someone had tied this dog to the handicap sign in front of her work. It was raining and in the 40s. Dog barely made it She called to ask if it was okay to bring him home for a night so she could keep an eye on her. Fine. Whatever just make sure it doesn't piss and shit everywhere They damn thing wound up falling asleep on my lap. The next morning I'm at the kitchen table drinking coffee and answering emails..and the mutt falls asleep on my feet Ex " I'm leaving. Help me out the dog in the crate." Me : no Anyway. Her daughter called me a few months ago. I hadn't talked to her in probably 10 years. She found Rose's collar and ashes and brought them over to me. I definitely had to wait until everyone was asleep before I opened the bag with the stuff inside.
  10. I don't know if it's still true, but I seem to remember FedEx routed most of its packages through memphis. So even if I shipped a box from Plano to Arlington it usually went to memphis first. Even it was like an overnight or 2 day package.
  11. Every single one of these spots should be actors from mel brooks or Leslie Nielson movies
  12. My wife is similar. She gets nervous spending money. When we moved into our house a couple of weeks before we got married. She called to ask if she could buy a toothbrush holder In my mind, I'm thinking she must be wanting to by like a nice bathroom set . Like stainless steel toothbrush holder/soap dispenser/kleenex holder. Nope. It was literally a $2.99 plastic one from target
  13. Yeah I can honestly say I've never been in the mood for McDonald's when drunk. It was either Taco Bell or Jack Box in terms of fast food. Whataburger as well. Jack in the box tacos or waffle House smothered hash browns.
  14. I'll also add. When we needed to get our AC replaced I bought a window unit for the living room. After we replaced the AC I left it installed since it's kinda behind the couch so not really an eye sore Figured out the air flow so that if I have one of the couches seats reclined and the window unit on, it hits me right in the face all night.
  15. @UTCzech III What instrument do you play? We almost had a polka band at our wedding
  16. I would fuck that tomato.
  17. 100% agreeed. My wife an I are on different sleep schedules. She typically gets up before 5 AM, and get up around 7:30 or later. Also, she likes the bedroom much hotter than I. So most of the time, I'll just fall asleep on the living room couch that's only a few feet from the patio door. Couple of years ago, wife wakes me up to see if I'm okay. And I'm dead ass asleep and tell I'm great best sleep I've gotten in awhile. She was like "Good. Because you left the patio door open, and now there is actual snow in the god damn living room for you to clean up." It snowed like 2" and I didn't even notice. It was glorious
  18. I'm on this side of the argument. When we are in my 4 door car, it doesn't really matter. But in my work van, it's a complete blind spot backing out in some cases, especially parking garages. I don't even like backing it out of my driveway and I'm on a slight hill so I have a very good view of street traffic.
  19. You don't want to use the flamingos yet You grind down their oil infrastructure. You make them use whatever supplies and equipment they have left. While stockpiling flamingos. Then you wait until December and hit everything left hard right before the coldest part of the year in Moscow. That's how you create a massive shortfall in heating and electricity in Moscow and st Petersburg rather than it being spread out to the "poor" parts of russia
  20. South Korea be like Wait you want to pay us for oil so you can ship north Korean soldiers to the front lines where they will die from drones with chips and parts we made that Ukraine and EU buy from us????
  21. Turning Point in my opinions: Logistics win Wars Military Knowledge : As Russia looses officers and NCO's, they are being replaced by even more sycophantic military leaders. Virtually every dictators downfall in a major war was because the Dictator chases the glamor rather than the actual victory. Compare that to Ukraine, as they replace military leaders, they are being trained heavily in the logistical side of warfare. Civilian Knowledge : Russia successfully exported its most intelligent civilians at the beginning of the war. And then sent their replacements to the front lines to die. Ukraine has imported intelligence. You can tell by their sophistication of drone and aerial warfare. Logistics win Wars. One country is is using it's civilian and military knowledge to attack refineries, factories, and transportation hubs. The other is attacking apartments.
