  1. Dunnings quality start today will give the Rangers 52 QS for the year. With 44 games left. Last season we had 51 for the year
  2. Please don't waist this outing by Dunning....
  3. I was reading Band of Brothers (again) and ran across this. I didn't even know @Brisketexan was in Easy company: PFC David Webster in a letter home: "I cannot understand why you hope for a quick end of the war. Unless we take the horror of the battle to Germany itself, unless we fight in their villages, blowing up their houses, smashing open their wine cellars, killing some of their livestock for food, unless we litter the streets with horribly rotten German corpses as was done in France, the Germans will prepare for war, unmindful of its horrors. Defeat must be brought into Germany itself before this mess can come to a proper end; a quick victory now, a sudden collapse, will leave the countryside relatively intact and the people thirsty for revenge. I want the war to end as quickly as anybody wishes, but I don't want the nucleus of another war left whole" (last paragraph on page 117 of my version)
  4. The allies had app 4,500 on D-day. The soviets averaged 6,300 military deaths a day during the war...... Jesus
  5. I guess I'll go with Attempt a 3 pointer for a billion. doesn't say I have to make it.
  6. Why can I not have my AM and FM presets together at this point in time. I listen to basically 4 stations - the three "sports" FM ones (96.7, 105.3, 97.1) and the AM news traffic station (1080). I have the hands free on the steering wheel that I can use, but have to manually change it to the AM. Seems like you should just be able to have 6 preset stations and it can figure when to switch to XM, sirius, AM all by it's self.
  7. I've been feeling this way for awhile. Can't quite put my thumb on why.
  8. Went and had drinks with a friend at a sports bar the other day. He is not a baseball fan. He saw the city connect uniforms and looked at me and said "What the fuck is that?"
  9. That's where I am. I would go to one or 2 (night) games every year either by myself of with an adult male friend. Mainly because you could get pretty cheap tickets in the outfield. I could have a couple of beers and deal with the hear. But there was no way I was going to try that with my wife and kids
  10. Little dusty in here /Speas
  11. He has to be my favorite non Rangers current player
  12. Have we had a walk off time clock violation yet?
  13. Still had some sauerkraut Sourdough, kraut and pepper jack grilled cheese sandwich
  14. That's basically my house with AC right now.....
  15. Yeah, I was going to go Anti- Superhero on this until I realized its also PSI guy. Welp. Nevermind. I'm now pro Superhero. I'll confess, my first read through of the screen shot reminded me of the probably thousands of times I've used my wife or kids being "sick" to get out of shit I agreed to go to when I was drunk.
  16. I was just thinking last night - In a couple of years it's going to be real interesting the reread this thread along side some actual historical books come out. Probably going to slightly obsess over this for the rest of my life
  17. we also have congressmen submitting bills to actually bomb Mexico...
  18. That's a good question. I know I have sweet relish at home, but I'm not sure if that's what I used or not. As far as taste after quiting smoking. Let's just say it turns out he beer and whiskey I used to drink weren't the greatest in quality and I didn't know that
  19. What was the dress thing? I guess i missed it
  20. Valid point. Though, I almost never keep hard alcohol at home. I just don't drink it as often as I used to. I used to keep a pretty nice selection of vodka, whiskey, and rum. But I pretty much just drink those when we go to a restaurant now. I quit smoking about 5 years ago, and I think my taste just changed a bit. Still keep plenty of wine and some beer though
  21. Yeah, well 20 year old college me after a couple of beers probably wouldn't have cared. My standards were less of a scale from 1-10 and more binary.
  22. Yeah, I already ordered them for next time.
